Anybody using a Nougat ROM with encryption enabled? Seems there is a kernel bug persistent through all the current N-based ROMs -- we had this issue with RN3P also, but not many users who were able to confirm.
I've tried all nougat releases out there for mi4c (MoKee 71.1, Resurrection Remix N, AICP 12.1, Lineage (Hikari no Tenshi)). None of them is able to finish encryption process.
I'm currently using Team Superluminal 13.1 and encryption works, but there is constant wakelock by fd440000.qcrypt. I have 20%+ battery drain during the night (cca 8h).

Go for 13.0 which is Android Marshmellow 6.0.1, this was the last 'stable' release of CyanogenMod. I have no experience with Nougat on N5 yet, but I suspect performance drawbacks as it is not officially (as in Google) supported anymore.
Also, there is no Xposed framework available for Android 7.1, I'll stick with CM 13.0 for now. That said, I just checked and noticed there aren't any Lineage 13.0 builds anymore. If you are nosy, you can try out the Lineage 14.1 ROM.

I think Nougat is an upgrade for N5. Smoother and more features. Smoooooth. I was always on stock before, so that's my comparison. I've tried both DarkRom versions (caf and regular), and both Lineage versions (unofficial caf and official regular), I think they're all an improvement over mm. I settled on the official Lineage rom, as I prefer simple.
I switched from MIUI 8.1.1.0 to official Lineage OS 14.1 2017.1.25 (with Gapps pico). First i noticed, that my fingerprint not working, so i thought, that maybe i have a goodix sensor, and Lineage OS doesn't support it. Then I flashed the unofficial 2017.1.08 goodix build by Minz1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-minz1s-lineageos-rom-t3528736), but that didn't help. Then I flashed Ressurrection remix 5.8.0 2017.1.14, but it had the same issue.
I even tried to flash a CM firmware, but nothing changed.
What should I do?

The most accurate help can be found in the thread that you already posted above
Most probably this lineageOS and the other custom roms based on it aren`t fully functional for your device and this is the risk that users must take
You can always flash back the original rom in order to have a working device

Wifi keep disconnecting and reconnecting every few minutes ! i had the same problem with other 7.0+ Roms , please help any fix for that?. and there was no problem in cm 12 or 5.0 based roms.

I used Lineageos, Identity Crisis stock marshmallow ROM, AOSP Extended ROM, Pure Nexus ROM and Mainstage OS ROM None of them have WiFi issue.
Always use latest ROM (Clean Flash)
Right now I'm using LineageOS (20170801 build)
Have tries several 7+ rom but same problems

I also do clean flash, but having wifi issues have tried nexus pure rom 14 ,cm 14, aosp 14 ,now lineage 14.1 all having same wifi problem disconnects every few mins and reconnects ! any solution would be helpful ?

los 15.1 has most bugs fixed on paper but many new and strange issues appear with this rom- slow downs, screen glitches and flickering, apps freeze or fc. Most stable for now is aosip.

I have problem Finding a prober custom ROM for my device [ Infinix Note 2 LTE X600 ].i tried LineageOS 14.1 , RR , and now i am on XenonHD. All of which is Running on 7.1.2 but I ran into a problem or two with each one with the last being battery Die Really fast when screen is OFF & i used an APP called Accubattery which indicated that my phone doesn't really go into sleep mode when i turn the screen off and as if i am still using it. I considered Going back to Android 6 but I Really don't want to if i don't have too.
