Kind of

octacore + 1024x600

Popped in to look for a replacement for my AN21u. Still works, but I'm figuring there has to be something a little snappier. Has anybody ordered this one yet? Is this company reputable?
I'd be willing to tinker a bit if need be.

@nonstop2050 Open source or timeline to release source? Was source released for previous models?

I emailed the seller, its an MTCD unit.

Hi,
For such an high price is not really interesting at all for my Audi car because of this:
1- The Price is: $489.00 Ex Tax: $489.00 (expensive!)
2- DvD Optional (for such price?)
3- Steering Wheel Control (SWC = CanBus) Optional.. What?.. Really?
BrGd
Madyen

I think the price was revised. Now at $219 @ early bird price

Another rebadged px5 MTCD with.the same quirks. What is the value proposition? Return policy?

Hi are they SIMFree, with GPS ?
yes...
i accept Local Pickup, and they are simfree + GPS ( No maps though ).
It's looks good, but how can we get the Polaris?
erm, how do we know you're for real?
Please provide real pictures. How much for two delivered to Texas?
Igal,
Nothing personal but this does sound a bit fishy to me. Why don't you list them on eBay - that way there is a system that helps to provide some credibility to your claim.
this is most likely a scam. the unit is not out yet and no one would have that many proto units or have access to production units yet,
I totally agree! These are known cases when someone wants to be paid only via Bank wire!!! Don't trust him!!!
They will be listed on Ebay..

I'm certainly no expert on the subject but I believe it's based on the Ardunio Platform with a USB Shield that supports ADK2.0. Looking at the google developers site it says they've released the specs If you want to create one yourself
http://developer.android.com/tools/adk/adk2.html
Hope that Helps
Thanks but its not for official sale? That i can njst buy it in original design?

A limited number of these kits were produced and distributed at the Google I/O 2012 developer conference. If you did not receive one of these kits, fear not! The specifications and design files for the hardware were also released for use by manufacturers and hobbyists. You should expect to see kits with similar features available for purchase, or you can build one yourself!

I'd say no not officially, Ebay would probably be your best bet If you really MUST have the official google one but I'd doubt it's something that people are going to part with easily.

After a year of hard work, we've successfully re-created the ADK 2012 boards from the Google I/O conference this past year. Take a look at our Kickstarter campaign and let me know what you guys think.
xda is preventing me from posting external links until I make 10 posts. I'll go make 10 posts and return. In the meantime, check my profile. The link is in my homepage.
Feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where to buy, where not to buy

So, I thought I'd start a separate thread that will have the places people have seen where this device is available and how much it's being sold for currently. I got this this morning:
http://www.1949deal.com/huawei-asce...b-rom-6-0-inch-fhd-ips-ogs-screen-golden.html
Now, the link and title both say:
3Gb RAM
32Gb ROM
Oh, one thing that is very important. When you create an account with this site, they send you back and email containing both your username and password in cleartext TO THE EMAIL FROM WHICH YOU SIGNED UP. If you aren't understanding why this is important, they pretty much exposed your personal information to anyone doing email sniffing. What I mean by that is if anyone intercepts the email back from these people they have access to your account which most likely, if you've ordered from them, has your credit and addresses/shipping information. Means, they can order stuff on your card and have it shipped anywhere else.
In the end, I wouldn't order from these folks, not only because they seem really bad about specs, but because their site is really insecure in how it handles personal information (PII). Who knows how they handle PCI?
Yet, the price is $369, the specs say that the housing is plastic, and quite a number of other "discrepancies" that make no sense to me, but I'm pasting/sharing this. I imagine, eventually the pricing and the specs and compatibility will shake out based on the units that do get sold. I also speculate that the pricing will drop based on units sold.
Does anyone else think the price will drop of this device?
Could be fake, the price Huawei announced in German is something like 499 or 599 euros
be careful.
The price in China for the 32G/3G ram is around 600 USD/
Think about it before place your order
Being careful is easy, being conned is easier

Which is why I'm making this thread for people to post sites and prices they've seen.
As far as this site goes, they take payment through paypal and credit card. Either way, you're not in bad shape, not great, because you'll still have to go through the process of trying to get your money back.
Cavet emptor, right.

Price listed is $600-647. I think it's only the Gold 3GB/32GB version though. (pic below)

Aliexpress is a very reputable site to buy stuff. The only downside is if you bundle a few things together, so, I added a glass screen shield and a clear backed TPU case and each and every one shipped separately. They're like the Amazon of China and while Amazon can give you the ability to bundle all the disparate vendors into a single shipment, i don't think AliExpress lets you do that.

I'm still not sure about the bands/frequencies it supports. It shows both FDD and TDD, but the frequencies listed don't exactly match with T-Mobile. I guess i'll have to wait and see.

Not disagreeing with you at all. I'm in the same boat with T-Mobile. the worst that will happen is that I'll get 3G and no 4G. Most days in most places, I'm on WiFi any way. However, it's nice to have a device that's actually supported.
Same as on 3 UK they use band 3 and band 20 looks like only one band supported
I suggest oppomart.com use them a lot, always get the latest chinese phones first and for good price.

So, it's not guaranteed to work in the US
it's not guaranteed to be compatible with the LTE networks
it's overpriced.
Conclusion, wait until they release a US-compatible version.

I think the price is so expensive because Huawei really hasn't done a full release yet. It seems to just be trickling out. The one person who said they bought one had to go to China to get it. lol. I think once it's officially released that you will see a more reasonable price.
It is up on Amazon.de at a very reasonable €499, no expected stock date though.

I just tried it as a lark, won't ship to any US address in my book. This is also from what I can tell, for the 2Gb/16Gb version. Good luck to everyone out there. Gives me hope that the device is expected in stock then. Might be a feeding frenzy until a general release is made. I'd still suggest waiting. It's the difference between having it first, or having it at a reasonable price in my opinion.
You can use mailboxde to order from German amazon and have it forwarded to you.
Thank you

Thanks for that, should have known, i used to use a mail-forwarding site like this when I lived in Central America for my US mail. So, the EU to USD conversion is about ~$632 (give or take fluctuations in economies). Still, to me it's worth it to wait. This version is not compatible with the US-T-Mobile bands (or maybe it is, conflicting answers).

Benson Leung has now endorsed TechMatte's USB Type-C to MicroUSB adaptor

That means we now (finally!) have a way of making use of all those legacy micro-usb cables e've all been collecting for years.
http://www.amazon.com/review/R2BM6N...&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=541966&store=pc
It'd be great if this could get added to the Google Sheet. EDIT: (I see this has been done. Should have refreshed!)
Annoying sidenote: TechMatte have NOT updated the model they're selling at Amazon UK (only Amazon US). I've tried asking about it, but no bones. Hopefully, it'll come soon though.
Awesome. Added to my Amazon Wishlist. Will purchase if I don't get any for Christmas.
Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the update! As you mentioned, this has been updated on the Google Sheet (over the weekend).

Not really, all of this information is contained in both of those OP's and then some... There is also a spreadsheet with it in both OPs and another one. There is no need for a separate OP just to tell people about one item changing in that never ending list of cables.
As said above, there's a couple threads discussing this already. :good:

And when u looks at the average prices the v10 has sold for....
