About firmware
The most sensational and the most awaited ROM of this season, we present you the MIUI 8.
Design MIUI 8 became close to the original design of Android 6.0.
That is was a very interesting mix of MIUI + Material.
This clearly preserved the very basis of the usual MIUI 7.
Firmware completely got rid of the blur (blur).
Most applications have a colored top bar, most developers are trying to get rid of white,
Firmware 90% got rid of the orange was replaced by a more pleasant - blue.
Update some application icons, style became maximally flat (in MIUI 7 used feeble gradient).
Change the overall style of the bottom bar buttons - now they are more stable. (such as a button "Delete", "Copy", "Email") And of course, not without the buttons "Add", "Edit", and so on., located in the lower right corner in the Material characteristic style. All applications, which touched graphical changes are now made in bright colors, including "search". The clock on the desktop and on the lock screen are more simple and refined, thanks to a new original font Mi, As we use the main font familiar Roboto, which is also used in the global versions of the firmware.

CANT INstall MIUI
Hi there .... my lenovo a536 is locked by mi cloud ,, each time i install miui custom rom iget the message ( Device is locked by an existing MI account ( 165****165) please sign in to unlock ) i have tried different miui roms and got the same message ... i did a hard reset and installed official lenovo rom and recovery via SP flash tool and it worked properly .... Then I installed TWRP again and tried to flash miui rom and again got the same message ..
i am currently using lenovo vibe ui custom rom and it is working proberly >>>
HOW CAN I INSTALL MIUI ???

Just a quick question in regards to how the lock screen behaves in CM12 / Android 5.
Currently when turn my phone's screen on i'm simply presented with the swipe to unlock pattern:

However My Dad's Moto G just got the Lolipop update, when he unlocks his phone now he has to first swipe up to unlock the phone, then enter his unlock pattern.
My question is for anyone who has used CM12 / Android 5 on our OnePlus can this be changed to simply show the swipe to unlock by default? I dislike the "dual lock screen" that always used to bug me on Android 2.2 / 2.3.

I have the same worry, I have versions 5.1 CM 12.1. (on 4.4 it worked normally)
If you say that earlier it was better then apparently from 5.0 to 5.1 they changed

I was looking for ways (without interfering with the system) but I did not find one.
It may be possible if the lock screen changes from other applications or modules

on galaxy s5 (... in andku 4.4 there is no unlocking effect ...) I did not have the possibility to upload the viewers onto the lock screen and I found on XDA reworked file "Keyguard.apk" which is located in "system / priv_app / Keyguard.apk "
After uploading widgets work ...
You may have to decompile the "Keyguard.apk" file in 5.1 android and change the command entry in some "xml" or "smali" file, but you have to know a bit ...: /
The second option is to replace Keyguard.apk in android 5.1 with a file of 5.0 (but you need to look for the exact model of the phone, odex / deodex etc.)
The third option is to look for patches on XDA ...
Hi, I recently got CM13 android 6.0.1 and in the options I found "show directly pattern" functions that work (on another AOSP android 6 it was also this option)

I did flash the right zip, globeROM_BeautyMod_mido_7.5.11_normal.zip
Its just that im on the china dev rom and the zips all say globeROM.
The statusbar didnt change from my theme, was expecting to see the weather images from your zip when i pulled it down

try manually replacing files from zip using twrp file manager...
but first make backup of it.
Or may be it only works on Global roms....
Want this mod for global stable 8.2.7.0 mi note 4 Snapdragon...
How can i find for 8.2.7.0 stable build? Can anyone share this. Offical site is deleted 8 builds.

Note [I M P O R T A N T]:
-After installing rom wait some time to becoming Rom stable
-This is 32 BIT ROM.
-This ROM is ported from Redmi 2 prime.
-Rom take some time on 1st boot
Flashing Process [To be followed strictly] :
Go to TWRP
Wipe cache / dalvik cache / data / system.
Then install MIUI 9 Rom zip File
It might show error 7 on first try, don't panic flash ROM again without wiping anything.
Wipe Cache and dalvic cache.
Reboot.

Hi My Xiaomi MI4 recently has been showing notification of UPDATE available TO version MIUI 10. Should I update it ?
I've heard it doesn't change nothing at all. and beside it once you update to it, you can't downgrade to previously version.

It may slow down the phone. But it will also give new looks and better features. Also, there is always an option to downgrade if you can use your laptop and spend some time to install any custom rom. (Will also void the guarantee)
It's a good choice to update to MIUI 10.

I've tried the lastest version of MIUI for cancro(MIUI10 8.9.13) for nearly one year. Before Febuary, 2019, I tried the PixelExperience(based on Android 8.1) and its new features & mini size touched me(I can use my face to unlock by Google Smart Lock. And 16GB isn't enough nowadays). But finally I missed the convenient settings and stability of MIUI, and Android 6.0 can still running most of the apps.
Of course, I have deleted some useless system apps(for me) like Mi Video\Mi Game\Mi Browser. In this case, I installed MX Player and Via(also Google Webview Core). To make the ROM better, I also changed the theme(bar, lockscreen), fonts(changed to MiLanPro by an app[because Magisk doesn't work on this ROM]), launcher(with a good icon package) and wallpaper. It doesn't slow down the phone. Just try it!

This is a new project of a student passionate about technology in Vietnam (his name on telegram is @bhlnk)
Glad that redmi 10x 5g and redmi 10x 5g pro are supported in this project
List some features of rom such as:
+ Rom is based on miui China base
+ The rom has completely fixed the extremely annoying notification problem on miui china
+ Rom supports 3rd party themes and mod removes annoying Chinese in the app
+ The system launcher has been tweaked (additional google discovery, google search bar, ...)
+ modify system font
+ rom pre-installed magisk V24.3
+ rom removed almost all annoying chinese bloatware and tweaked google apps and system
+ Of course google is pre-installe
Because it's a rom that was only developed within a few months, it still has many shortcomings and is in the development stage.
The current rom only adds 2 languages: Vietnamese and Turkish. But will be updated to other languages as soon as possible
