Hello, I sent my phone to warranty so I could get it repaired. So I backed up with twrp all my partitions (I'm BL Unlocked also). I got it back, flashed twrp, unlocked BL, and restored the full backup. Now I have a phone who won't boot up, even to the Sony logo, to fastboot, recovery or even flashmode. A 2-min reboot didn't helped. If I plug it in any power source, the red led blinks one time for half a second every 5-10 seconds.
Any way to reset the bootloader to default, as a wrong partitioning / restore damaged it ?
Thanks
I hope you didn't flash twrp to a wrong partition,
besides not sure why that would happen
question on the TWRP thread:
you restored TA partition and something went wrong ?
when you connect the device to a pc, as which device is it recognized on your pc? For expample, in dmesg on ubuntu
[edit] also you might try this helped for the guy in that thread

Hi, I was in the processing of upgrading my unlocked infinity to tf700 and was recommended to both install CWM and use nvflash to backup some files in case I bricked my device.
This is what I did:
Flashed CWM recovery using fastboot. However, I was unable to boot into recovery after doing this. So I though I could do it later after I had done the nvflash. So I began the nvflash process, everything worked fine until I reached "fastboot -i 0x0b05 boot nvfblobgen.img". It executed fine and rebooted my device. When I was gonna backup my files via MTP I just found the folder and 5 empty files so I tried a factory reset. This is where everything went wrong. My tablet did the factory reset and rebooted. Now it's either stuck at "AndroidRoot 9.4.5.30r01" if I do nothing or it's stuck at "Booting recovery kernel image" if I do "Power + Volume Down". There is no option to go back to fastboot menu. I also have access to APX, but this probably won't help as I do not have the blobs.
Is my device now officially bricked or is there something which can save me?

Same just happened to me, I'm searching the forums, but it looks like hard brick = no rescue at the moment
Hi,
Today my phone was drained and I left it charging from my laptop. 3-4 hours later I tried to boot it but with no luck.
Also now it was very warm. After some trial and error - and possibly because the phone now was cooler - I was able to boot into fastboot.
But I can't get past the HTC logo. In fastboot I have tried to reflash the boot.img from CM10.2. I have also reflashed a recovery - but still
I can't boot into recovery or CM.
I also tried to unlock the phone but when doing so, I don't get send to the last screen, where I actually unlock the phone (it was already unlocked, it was just a test)
My suspicion is that the internal storage has been fried when the phone overheated - since it seems like that fastboot says it's writing but in fact I doubt that the phone actually wrote anything.
How can I know? Apart from the dead phone, all my pictures are lost in there too.
I would love a little help...
Frederik
In bootloader menu (that with fastboot) you can go to recovery.
Now recovery is broken. Re-flash or flash another recovery. you will now when it's ok. It let you do your work.
In that same menu you have Factory reset. But this erase all in your phone (and SD card)!
Try reflashing stock recovery... Let it do what it needs to do in recovery and then flash whatever custom recovery you have.
Hi all,
after bootloader unlock, and a few other steps later. I somehow managed to softbrick my Z5.
The phone hangs on bootloader screen. I can still get into TWRP 2.7.8.0.
When rebooting from TWRP says there no OS installed.
Most of the times TWRP is unable to mount system, data etc. After managing to mount all, I tried to go ahead and install either another ROM or a boot.img, recovery.img or twrp.img.
Installing another Rom always seems to fail (and finishes way too fast), and installing another boot.img or recovery.img gives me errors like this:
Image to flash: '/external_sd/recovery.img'
Calculating restore details...
E: No partitions selected for flashing
Trying to use FlashTool doesn't work either, because I cannot get FastBoot to work either (power off, hold volume Up while attaching device to pc using usb) Only this morning did I manage to FastBoot.
How can I solve this?
Can it be solved through TWRP? by somehow using a PIT file? or any other way?
I am stumped reallly.... So maybe someone with much more knowledge can help me out? Thanks

Thankx iSpammer, it took me a while to reply, mainly because the battery went to 0%. so first I had to go to a local callshop to fast charge it for a while. Later at home I charged to 100%.
After that I was abled to get into the FlashTool and flash an original TFT, now the phone is also unrooted, had twrp and su, and xposed.
Thanks again, I am one happy camper

Hi guys,
I have a OPO bricked in a very weird way... It's booting straight to TWRP (v3.0.2-0) and nothing else. It is impossible to boot into bootloader (Vol. Up + Power), it still goes to TWRP. And when it is plugged on a computer, it's also booting straight to TWRP...
First a little recap :
- The OPO has (had) an unlocked bootloader and was updated from COS13 to Oxygen OS a while ago.
- The screen was smashed, touch screen not working anymore, and I had it replaced
- Then this problem occured (before screen change, it was booting to Android without a problem)
What I tried :
- Tried to reboot into bootloader, from TWRP via the reboot menu, nope.
- Tried to reboot into bootloader, from TWRP with "adb reboot bootloader", nope.
- Hard Reset from TWRP, nothing.
- Flash latest COS from TWRP (cm-13.1.2-ZNH2KAS3P0-bacon-signed.zip) found here, nothing.
- I wanted to try this last chance unbrick "OnePlus Recovery Tool", but for that the OPO has to be OFF while plugged on a computer, and mine automatically boots on TWRP when plugged , so it's not bricked enough to use it, f***!
Since I can't access the bootlader, I can't do a proper clean/flash
I'm really out of ideas here. I'm starting to think that the problem isn't software but hardware...
Has anyone ever encountered such a brick, or has another idea?
Thanks in advance for your help.
fully shutdown your device and then press the volume up while connecting your phone to pc and see if it can boot into fastboot or not...

Open the back panel of your device and clean it properly with isopropyl alcohol and microfiber cloth. Also clean the power and volume buttons strips.
Reattach it correctly and then try booting into system or fastboot.
Thank you guys for your help.
So, what happened is that the volume buttons connector was dead, and that the volume down signal was "permanent", that is why the device was systematically booting in recovery mode, no matter what I tried.
Replacing it worked just fine
Hi,
I have an unlocked device, I've used havoc-os until today.
I decided to update the ROM, but first I tried something on the stock rom, so I flashed the june factory image to both slots. Then I booted into the system, see what I wanted and then boot back to fastboot. After that I've booted into TWRP, I wiped cache and data, but I've noticed I didn't copy back my files, so I decided to boot back into the system.
It booted into the bootloader and since that I can't boot the phone, says slot unbootable. My problem is, it doesn't recognized by windows as an usb device and fastboot doesn't work.
What can I do? Is it bricked? How? Why? I didn't do anything special.
Please help.
Edit.: I've tried fastboot on an Ubuntu, not working. Tried my old OnePlus X and it's working, so the problem is not the computer.
I've managed to debrick, thank god.
I found the solution in this topic:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-3-xl/help/black-screen-fastboot-one-catch-t3875953
You plug in the cable and then press the vol down+power button for like half a minute, and after some time the device is recognized by windows.
