Launcher recommendation required for very very specific setting. - Android Apps and Games

I've tried many launchers but can't seem to find the one I can setup to my desire. Nova, Apex, Action, Smart, Go, Trebuchet, etc. nothing really seems to give me that. My requirements are very specific :
1. I should be able to get a clean home-screen, no app shortcuts, no widgets, no search bar/button, no dock or App drawer icon even.
2. Three to four gestures needed so that I can bring the app drawer, the phone app and Google Cards.
3. The App Drawer needs to be categorized alphabetically.

In the pictures the 2 drawers are of Trebuchet and Solo. I want the design of the drawer to be like Solo, but I don't like its home screen, I can't remove the search bar or move it or resize it, neither can I remove the dock. The drawer of Trebuchet I find very crammed up.
Nova gave me most of it except the drawer and also Arrow launcher was good but couldn't get a clean home-screen.
So free/paid, any recommendations ????

Try Smart launcher

Well Nova actually can do all of this.
What was your problem with clearing the homescreen? Have you checked settings -> homescreen settings -> dock?
You can turn google search bar and the dock off.
And the appdrawer can be categorized alphabetically: settings -> appdrawer -> layout -> list

[Q] Arrange apps in App Drawer??

Is there a way to organise apps in the app drawer? It is now just a collection of apps, but I like the idea of a totally clean homescreen (only widgets and dock), and an organised App Drawer.
It doesn't matter how the apps are organised. It can be with folders, different pages, whatever. But it has to be in the App Drawer. Is there an app/launcher/custom ROM that can do that?
Anyone? I know not many people want this, because they organise their apps on the homescreens, and the App Drawer is just a collection of all apps, but as I said, I really like the idea of a homescreen with widgets only, and an organised App Drawer with folders or different pages or whatever.
ADW Launcher has an option to create a catalog to group apps, but everytime you need to change catalogs, you have to press menu, then "choose group".
It´s nice, but it should have a better way to choose between the groups.
All apps organizer is what I use. If you use adw or launcher pro you can make it your app drawer. Works really well.

So..., that just replaces the App Drawer? That's fine to me, but I hope you can hide the 'real' App Drawer then. I still want my app drawer button in the middle + 2 icons on either side in the dockbar, but then the app drawer icon should link to that All Apps Organizer program.

You can set the option in ADW.Launcher so that there are arrows on the left and side of the bottom of the screen when you open the app drawer, then pressing those arrows you can switch the catalogs.
Just found out that Go Launcher EX has folder support. I'm starting to like this launcher more and more! Nobody knows it though, so I couldn't find much information about the folder support in app drawer.

The Beginner's Guide to ADW

I've been seeing a lot of threads (not only here) about ADW and ADW EX, the different settings, how to do certain things, etc. I don't think Ander ever wrote up a documentation so here's my little guide.
Anyone that would like to add anything, PM me and I'll add it in.
Little overview of ADW
ADW (EX) is a home launcher replacement. What does that mean? Well the home launcher, usually just called launcher, is pretty much the main way to get around on your Android device. It's the first thing you see when you turn your device on and it is what all of your apps, folders, and widgets are displayed on. To relate it to something everyone knows just think of your Windows/ OS X desktop. You know the thing you probably stare at saying "What did I want to do?!" and is a cluttered mess of icons? Yeah that's your desktop. The launcher on your device is essentially the same thing.
Quick rundown of the settings
When you first open the settings menu, you will see a list of 9 options. The top 4 are the ones you will be tweaking and constantly going into.
Presets - Profiles of settings that are preloaded into ADW. You can also create your own. Presets are just quick and easy ways to switch different things like icon size, dock type, workspace size, etc. These are only settings, NOT layouts.
UI Settings - The foundation of your launcher. From here you will edit things like Icon size, icon backgrounds, Dock type, the amount of rows and columns your workspace has, the App Drawer, and ADW's Hidden Dockbar. These are the real customization settings.
General Behavior - Name says it all. Screen transition effects, gesture controls, and the way ADW interacts with your device's hardware is all found here.
Theme Preferences - Again, pretty self explanatory. From here you choose what custom ADW theme you want on certain things. You can set 1 theme to cover everything, or use separate themes for icons, the dock background, and the hidden dock.
Backup and Restore - Backs up and restores your settings and icon layout. This does not work with widgets (I believe)
Tips and Tricks
Resizing
To resize a widget, you simply long press a widget until the little pop up menu appears and then click "Edit." The resize feature let's you resize in 4 different diretions (up, down, left, right), kind of like in a Word document. I find this to be a lot better than LauncherPro's because LP forces you to resize diagonally. To have some widgets overlapping, go to ADWSettings > UI Settings > Screen and click the Overlapping Widgets option. After that you can now overlap any widget over another widget or icon. Just remember that if you want a certain widget/icon to be BELOW another widget, the item you want below has to be placed on the screen first. If not, then it won't work.

Headache to read. Too much text. Seems like you just copied it all from the play store. No or minimal person opinion. Worth mentioning that some launchers are no longer under development.

Nice post rasenkiba! I found his thread as I was exploring for new launchers to play with in CM9 nightly build 8/26/2012. You've done a great job at pulling together some of the more popular launchers - I especially like knowing which launcher is your preferred.
I'd like to add to this list the Trebuchet launcher which is the default launcher on the 8/26/2012 nightly build of CM9 for the Galaxy S3. I'm still breaking it in, but it seems fast and has some neat effects - I'm hooked on "Cube Out" for the app drawer and home screen transitions.
I previously used Zeam on my HTC G2 and it had two features that I miss dearly: Swipe Up and Swipe Down. I had them mapped to open the app drawer and open the notification bar, respectively - this allowed me to remove the app drawer button to be used by something else. I liked the minimalistic features of Zeam. After using Trebuchet I'm looking for a launcher that combines some of the Zeam features with some of the eye candy of Trebuchet.
thanks
very nice list, I also liked seeing which you preferred.
I usually go through a phase where I'll download every single app I can find for a specific function (photo editing, launchers, etc) and test them all out and delete the worst until I'm left with one.
I have a droid incredible, and was on CM7 for a while and fell in love with ADW. I'm big on screen transitions and gestures (man, do I miss lock screen gestures).
Now, I'm on Albinomans JB rom (which kicks so much ace) and have only tried Holo and Nova. Nova is the one I've stuck with as of now, and buying the Prime version was even more similar to the options of ADW.
Anyway, great compilation of launchers and I hope the info I posted helps some others as well.

nice work man .. and respect for the commitment and time spent
shelling out the money for nova prime
Not sure if you only wanted to include free launchers but Nova launcher is nice but if you spend the extra few bucks on the Prime edition, it is by far and away the best launcher I have ever used.

After testing ICS on my Xperia Pro, and using Nova Launcher Prime, I went back to GB because of some things that were worse in ICS, mainly RAM usage, games and wi-fi hotspot. I've been looking for a launcher that has 2 options that made me buy the prime version of Nova; using the home key to get into the app drawer (and then returning to the desktop) and folders in the app drawer. Is there a launcher that has those 2 functions BUT isn't Go Launcher EX?
Go Launcher EX isn't bad but, 6 icons per folder in the app drawer in landscape mode isn't enough (it had 10 in v2.85!)
I just loved using Nova, too bad it's ICS+ only

Hmm, ADW EX needs money, which I got but, Google hates my debit card or something. I got Nova because they also sell it outside of the Market ^_^ (and TiBu and the Sixaxis thing)
But yeah, my vote goes for Nova Prime in ICS, and the not-free category.
And Go Launcher for GB and older devices (and free!), I'll stick to 2.58 because of the folders' uselessness in landscape. Which used to have 10 icons instead of the actual version's 6...
Oh, Holo Launcher (the paid one) is nice too but, it has no drawer folders AND isn't available outide of the market.
I seem to have settled on Holo Launcher HD for my uses.
I tried out the paid version of Nova and it was good, but just not my cup of tea. However, I keep seeing lots of praise for Nova. Now I am wondering if there is something about Nova that I overlooked. Besides folders in the app drawer and being sold outside of the market, what is it about Nova that you all like so much?
thanks

I liked Nova because of the homescreen transitions. I know its not the best reason. Also, I was on an AOKP ROM for a while and purchased prime.
I think the acronym "HD" lured me into Holo, but I didn't see any noticable differences in appearance. I only tried it out for about an hour though.
I really really really wish that ADW would make an ICS/JB launcher...
Thank for sharing!

In my case it was the ability to use the home key to open the drawer and have folders in the drawer. Also, it's not ugly and has many customizable things

[Q] How do you arrange your tablet home screens?

What do you guys prefer having on your home screens when it comes to widgets and apps?
Do you go for usability, productivity or design?
I don't like text underneath the icons on my homescreen and I shrink the icons in the app drawer. In all those years I regret that Google doesn't offer those options. So that leads me to ADW EX launcher, which I use on all my devices.
use nova launcher, have done since its initial beta release. i got for a default home screen which is minimal then a second right screen with a few more frequent apps. I always have a dock at the bottom for most frequent apps and try and increase the dock from the standard size with smaller space between icons. I dont like text underneath any icon
I've used Nove for some time. Great launcher. Love swipe gestures. But I like functionality on my N5. Wondering if there are any useful widgets worth considering on an Android tablet.
xposed
I like xposed framework because of the neat different transparencies and other features that it brings to the overall setup. it's going to be interesting to see how framework helps Android lollipop 5.0 customizations.
I use Nova as my launcher and use of the gestures.
Only one homescreen, no icons, only Dashclock widget. Keep it nice and clean. Swipe up to get the app drawer and that's only one page. Swipe down for Firefox. That's all I need, clean and simple.
I disable the lock screen too, waste of time.
