Hi
When the Chrome browser starts, it always darkens something, that is, the brightness. As soon as it goes back to the home screen will it brighten again? Brightness setting is set to AUTO.
How or where can I change this behavior?

Okay so I discovered that Auto brightness in CM7 is messed up so instead I am using manual brightness setting. So far so good, but when I use Google navigation, after a while the screen dims to lowest brightness and wont go back to my brightness till the navigation app speaks next instruction and then it dims again after a timeout.
Anyway to turn this annoying behaviour off?
Does changing the screen timeout setting help?
The one under Settings > Display > Screen Timeout is the setting I'm reffering to.
No, that only affects the screen turning off. It remains on, just dims to lowest brightness
Give this app a whirl. You can select an app and while in the app you selected (navigation/maps/whatever) the screen will never turn off. I don't think it will dim either.
You have to use navigation thru car home to prevent that.

I use Aldiko as a ebook reader. When opening a ebook in app the screen brightness is locked high and i cant dim my screen. Which is fine unless im in a dark room than im blinded. How can i remove the screen brightness permission for that app so i can dim my screen. Im rooted on kitkat with xposed

This is an app dependent setting, you can't universally disable it for all apps I guess. You have to manually edit the app.
Else try going to that app's settings and see if there's an option to reduce brightness.
Else use an app like this: Darker to decrease the brightness of everything universally, which even overrides the app's settings.
So my adaptive screen mode is randomly switching from a cool to warm display when switching apps. And its not doing it for the right apps, for example switching to cinema for youtube. It is totally random. Like i just had Chrome open and screen was correct (punchy, cool, white) then I open recents tab, select my messaging app, and it auto changes to warmer tones. I go back to chrome and notice it displaying the warmer, more yellowish screen. Then, maybe 20 seconds later it turns switches back to correct, whiter screen. Its very distracting and not pleasing to the eye. Any suggestions?
Factory reset. Seems to have fixed

Turn adaptive off. Did the same on mine.
When opening the Chrome browser the screen dims. I have tried turning off auto brightness but it doesn't solve it. It only does this with the Chrome browser app. If I hit the window switcher button the brightness returns to normal setting.
I have 5.1.1 on a 701L P8Max
anyone facing this issue of mine?
When screen is set to auto rotate, there be a very slight lag when rotating the screen from portrait to landscape in chrome.
It seems like chrome refresh the screen for that split second everytime u rotate the phone, as the loading bar is present each time I rotate the screen.
Hi
I started facing the same issue few days back on my U11.
Once I rotate the screen to potrait/landscape; the page will be refreshed !
Hope that it's a bug from chrome app and we get an update soon.
