I have a Moto G (XT1034) with Android 5.1 (LPBS23.13-58-2) stock - no root.
Unfortunately, after lollipop update, the device only connects in 2G network mode.
I Have tried the following:
1)I have setup in setting 3G as preferred network:
Setting > More > Mobile Networks > Preferred network type > 3G
2)I have also rebooted in recovery, and I didi a factory reset;
3) I have called my network provider, and setup manually APN settings;
None of the above worked.
I have also tried to enter into Testing setup using the code *#*#4636#*#* on phone dallier, but that code does not work.
Please, May someone help me how to fix 3G connectivity?

i have full access to everything on my phone i can send emails use wifi keyboard the only thing i don't have is 3g signal i'm using a bell nexus s and also i can't access my mobile network apn settings at all it's blacked out n i can't click on it. I've tried flashing a new rom kernal etc etc., also i've tried all the dail restart codes and factory restart options. Also i have noticed recently that all the roms and kernals i did have n previously worked all have a "e signuature verification failure." hope u guys can help
After Android Update of Lollipop , 3G is not working in My D801 T mobile, Every GSM/CDMA/LTE setting is on and APN is correct but only 2G is showing and working, when i convert it to Only CDMA Mode, The Signals Goes off, Please help me, how to fix this issue, i don't want to root or install any custom rom for it, :crying:

I upgraded from kitkat to the D83820d twn xx rom a long time ago, and noticed that I only have GSM, WCDMA, and GSM/WCDMA auto options under preferred network, but I didn't care at the time because I wasn't using this device for internet much. but things have changed.
I tried the hidden menu method where you select "Automatic" under WCDMA-Only Network Mode but it didn't work (preferred network mode options didn't change). Does it only work for specific roms? I also found the cust.prop method but I'm hesitated to try it cause I found complains of phones getting bricked.
which method should work on my rom?

See post #20 or #29 for solution. In my case i had to make a change in two cust.prop files in that directory. Now I have GSM/WCMDA/LTE as preffered in network mode menu.

Hi guys, since I updates to 5.1.9 my mobile network stopped working, only works with WiFi.
I can send normal text message fine, but WhatsApp,Facebook and any kind of app that requires network stops working.
Only bootloader was enable at phone before update
Any tips?
Did u try to reflash again, and what was ur process, did u use twrp, r u rooted, we need more info
I have t-mobile and I got network connection fine. Did you check your apn?
Check your apn settings under sim and network settings - sim - access point names
I accidentally messed with settings in service menu open with *#197328640#, now the problem is, only 2g network is working, when select 3g network (not working) not showing network not able to search network. Plz any one help regarding this problem.
I alredy flash with stock firmware but no success.
Plz help
