Yes, just flash kernel with root like Unikernel.

Hey I am sorry for the question but the kernels available are OFE/OF7 to root may I ask which kernel to use when rooting OJ7 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks so much

Changing DL 00 version to L29 Version. Is this possible?

I just got my phone and I want to switch my DL00 to a L29 version. Is this possible? I am a newbie to modify phone programmes and I hope I can get help here. After I change, can I run the phone as normal and update it like normal with the phone in the future? Or I have to update manual by downloading things?

As far as reporting goes. It's seems we are all vulnerable. I was jsut wondering if this could help the s7 achieve root without the eng_boot? Or maybe even the bootloader, long shot I'm sure.
Hit up jCase on Twitter. I asked if this could be used for us as a root alternative/bootloader access.
He said: "yeah if someone wrote an exploit it could be a decent temproot on that device"
So probably not bootloader unlocking. But a diffent method for root w/o the dumb eng_boot.img.
If I knew how I would do it. But alas I don't. Hopefully one of the awesome folks on xda could give it a shot.

This would only be temp root and will most likely trip KNOX! So be careful. This was a quick compile from the guy in the G+ post, jsut to see if it works.

Hello everyone, finally I have the HU in my possession, I hope this weekend to be connecting it.
I would like to know what I recommend to do to the software, I saw a good Hal9k rom that seems easy to install, I also saw that they always recommend updating the MCU, mine came with version 2.88 if I'm not mistaken, where can I find the latest? The one that sold me the stereo told me not to connect the ACC cables together as it would leave me without battery, but I read in some comments that with the MCU update this problem is corrected and could be left connected and it would also help me to leave the device on standby for several days and not have to go through the first start it takes.
Another question is where do I recommend sticking the GPS antenna, can I leave it behind the stereo?
