best replacement s4 WALL charger

Looking to replace my oem S4 charger, I realize the samsung one is high quality and charges at 1900mA, but I don't want to spend $40+ on a charger..anyone have any good and cheaper alternatives, what will charge at least at 1200mA, links please? I been looking around amazon and online but I'm scared to get some cheap chinese ones.

Any other charger will charge slower than the official Samsung one because of the way it implements a quickcharge spec. That said, I use this one and it works well - but definitely slower than the Samsung one:

also need the microusb cable..like the one on Samsung site for $39.99 which brings charger/cable..I know the quality of the cable matters too..sorry I didn't specify this in OP.

Any cable should be fine as long as it meets USB specs. I got a bunch on Monoprice that work great.

It's probably NOT true OEM, but it does charge my S4 at 1900mA. However, the cable that came with it did not work. It won't even fit on the s4, or any other microUSB ports. It looked used/broken. I am using a regular USB cable from monoprice and it works fine.
btw, I ordered from BLUTEKUSA. I don't see them on the list of sellers right now, so it might be dangerous to buy these as there are a lot of negative reviews on the other sellers.

Seems like the blackberry playbook charger is all good, charges the phone perfectly and efficiently.

I am using the iGO Dual USB Wall Charger for Tablets. It has two 2.1Amp ports, comes with a 6 or 7 foot USB cable and the A97 tip for charging. Works wonderfully and found it on clearance at RadioShack for $8.98. I can charge my iPad and my S4 at the same time with no issues.

Look what I got in the mail - a Choetech six port USB charger!
Full disclosure - Choetech sent me this for basically nothing in exchange for an honest review. USB chargers are a pain in the neck for my family. We have devices everywhere, and those little bricks are ugly, get lost, whatever. I don't like 'em - so much so that I've got several power outlets with built in USB ports. Those are cool, but they're expensive and I'm not altogether certain they conform to specs. They also can't be moved around the house, so you need to have a bunch of them. They definitely fall into the category of "things that seemed like a really good idea at the time but weren't worth the money." Kind of like the 2012 Nexus 7.
This little device can sit on a desk and charge whatever you throw at it. I've only got one "C" device right now, but fully expect to have more in the future. So for the purposes of this review, let's just pretend that Wall-e charges via USB C rather than solar energy.
Wall-E and my Nexus 6 both charge at 3A each. The plethora (OK, 4) of Standard USB devices charge at 2.4A. In total it can handle up to 55W of power running through it. All for $40 USD. It's well made, comes with its own stand so you can place it vertically or horizontally, and they even throw in a free USB C to C cable. Both the bottom of the stand and the actual unit are covered in a non-slip material, so you won't have to worry about it sliding all over your desk. It's a really nice touch and really shows how much effort Choetech is putting into becoming a preferred vendor for USB charging gear.
In short, it's a capable little unit that has earned a permanent place on my desk. I'll definitely be picking up a couple more for my wife and kids to use.

Choetech has finally made what many fellow Nexus 5X/6P users have been wanting: a multiport Type-C 5V/3A charging hub that is not from Google. I have the dual port Google Type-C charger, but that one only has a 22W output meaning that you can only fast charge one phone at a time. This hub from Choetech has 2 Type-C ports pushing the 5V/3A and 4 regular Type-A 5V/2.4A ports. While I would have loved for it to support other means of fast charging, that would technically break the USB spec therefore I am more than happy with this charger from my usage so far.
The charger itself is well made featuring a rubber like exterior (on the main section) and a textured lower portion toward where the power supply cable is plugged in. The hub is made the same way as Choetech’s previous hub’s that I have also reviewed. Along the front there is also a nice blue LED light that turns on when the charger is plugged in. It’s not overly bright, so it shouldn’t be disruptive if you use this hub on your nightstand. I have this particular one on my TV stand for to charge my Nexus 6P’s, and other accessories for my Nvidia Shield TV due to the 4 USB-A ports that are also there. One thing I really appreciated this time around was the addition of a small stand for the charger. My QC 2.0 hub from Choetech didn’t have a stand, so it sometimes made it harder to plug in a bunch of devices at once; thankfully that’s no longer an issue with the included stand.
The USB-A ports work well for charging my other devices (Shield controller, remote, SNES controller etc.). I usually don’t need more power to charge these other devices since they cannot accept QC 2.0 anyway, therefore it is nice to have the additional ports for these.
Choetech includes a nice C-C cable that is perfect for charging your Nexus 6P/5X over the Type-C port despite not being very long. I have used other C-C cables from Choetech (I have a longer one as well), and other companies all of which work fine. The included cable is a good length for where I have the charging hub since I don’t need the reach there, but I wanted to make note of its shorter length so other people can be aware of that.

Given the rated output of the charger stands at 55W you can fast charge 2 Nexus phones (5V/3A =15W *2 which is 30W), but you will then be limited to 20W for the remaining 4 ports. This isn’t a big deal given how most devices won’t pull over 1A from the standard port because they do not support QC 2.0/3.0.
Overall I really like how this charger is the first one that I’ve seen featuring 2 Type-C ports that offer the full 5V/3A for fast charging as opposed to Googles limited output dual Type-C charger. Even given the chargers larger size it would still make a great travel companion if you need the extra ports. I know my wife appreciates the hub because it reduces the number of things we need to bring with us while

I know it's tough to put a ton of weight on reviews of products that are "review" units or products that people get at a discounted rate. I have been skeptical of these in the past as well because it’s easy to fall in love with a $40 product when you only paid like $10. It’s also a lot easier to be a lot less critical of little flaws that you might not overlook when dropping $40 on a charging station like this. I was one of those lucky enough to get these at a discounted rate but I have to say it’s truly worth the money and everything these guys have said is true.
Obviously I may be biased because I didn’t pay the full $40 but this is a great charger for those of us with Type-C devices. The ONLY thing that would make it better is if at least one of the Type-A Ports were Quick Charge but you can’t really knock them for that because they have Type-A Quick Charge Charging stations available. I’ve tried to be just as critical of this as if I paid full price to give a fair and unbiased review and looked for its flaws and it’s truly been a great charger for me and my needs.
I’ll spare you guys all the little details I threw in my Amazon review because it’s already been covered in this thread but I really do think this is the way to go for this transition from Type-A to Type-C. This is far more convenient than having your devices all plugged into different outlets around your room/house. Until manufactures (Samsung) decide to make this transition we’ll all have a need for both USB types and even when they do not all of us can replace all of our devices right away. I’ve got this sitting on my dresser right now with my 6P, headphones, my tablet, and a battery all plugged into one charger and I still have room for a couple more devices. $40 might be tough to swallow but if you’re in the market for a charging station at all and you’ve got a Type-C device this is probably the one to get right now.

Hi, I would like to add my thoughts as well about this device. Our family has multiple devices, including a Nexus 5x requiring USB-C. We have all of those bulky boxes on our outlets/power strips, which of course cover up the neighboring outlets. With this device, we can all plug into ONE device and not have the bulky boxes all over the house. The power plug on this device is NORMAL for a change. As a bonus, it even includes a USB-C cable! It charges my Nexus "rapidly." Also, according to the manual, it works 110-240V, which means with an adapter, we can travel and not have to take a bunch of boxes and fight over who gets the one lonely outlet in the room Construction is good, and it was packaged well. I've already bought a few things from Choetech and they are all high quality.

I also have one of these chargers, and it is great. The rubberized finish and textures make it feel like a premium product worth the $40 price tag. I have tried it with many devices at once. A couple tablets, a power bank, and nexus 5, and 2 6Ps all at the same time and it worked great. It should be noted that though each C port can provide 3 amps and each A port can provide 2.4 amps, the device is only 55 Watts so it cant do it all at once. The math works out that it can charge a total of 4 devices at once before the amps start to dip below the maximum. The price seems high until you realize a single USB-C charger is around $15 and this is giving you 2, plus 4 USB-A and a USB-C cable. and it comes with a stand and is a nice looking product that you can place on your desk. The only things i think can be improved is that the Blue LED is a bit bright for me at night, and I would have liked it if one USB-A port was on the back.

I also received this at a discount for review purposes, but like everyone else I've found it to be a really good device. I won't rehash what everyone has said so far, only that I would normally be turned off by the price but after using it would gladly pay for the solution it offers. It will be the main charging hub in our house for the foreseeable future!

I too got one of these for review and have to say it is a really well built practical bit of kit. I'm not going to post a full review here as others already have and everything they say is true. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially people with multiple devices. I will attach some pics as I think a picture paints a thousands words.

Im a big fan of mobile devices and usually either have 2 or 3 on the go at once. With that in mind I usually have to take up 2 or 3 plug sockets to charge them all overnight.
When i finally got round to purchasing a Nexus 6P i thought it's about time to to purchase a multi charger device for use in one plug socket.
So after being a long standing member of XDA, I asked to have a chance to review this sort of item and let's be honest;
It does exactly what it says on the tin. It charges multiple devices and does it safely.
I use a fast charging wireless charger for my S7 Edge and also use a standard USB C Charger cable for the Nexus 6P.
Contents of the box are;

1 x Stand
1 x 6 Port Charging Unit
1 x USB-C Cable
The quality of the unit though is superb. It has a rubbery feel but doesn't look cheap at all. Plus its extremely simple to set up. It took me more time to take photos then set this little baby up.
It turned up relatively quick too on standard delivery.
For what it is worth, you wont go wrong with this unit at all. The charger @3A for USB-C is legit and shows rapid charging on the 6P. This does me well.
Choetech have surprised me with this unit itself, its good quality and will become my daily charging device. I will be going back to Choetech again in the future.

Since i have bought a Nexus 6p wanted to look for a desktop charger something that would look and charge my Nexus 6p , Well i found this and decided to buy it first up comes well packaged when taking out of the box it includes the usb port charger a dock power cable and a usb c to usb c cable. The usb charger has a premium feel matte finish , the dock fits perfectly and holds it tight.Once connected you will see a blue light that dont bother me, charging the Nexus 6p with this Choetech usb charger is fast as normal charger you get with the 6p but with 2 usb c ports and 4 usb ports its money well spent and absolute MUST BUY.

Im on the same Choetech train as you guys. Whether I've bought the products myself full price or some that i've received discounted for an honest review, I love their stuff. I've been thoroughly enjoying their power bank on the go and now I'm enjoying this nifty little 'desktop' charger. As Nexus 6p owners, we always have to be researching and looking at all the details when it comes to voltage and charging rates. Worst feeling when I plug in my Nexus 6p and see charging slowly or just charging. This will definitely mean I won’t be using my phone for a while but this baby right here, t i can gladly say that it provides the right stuff for the 6p's "rapid charging". With two USB-C ports you could say your purchase is "future proof". We will start to see more and more device using this port and in about 1 to 2 years it'll be the standard. The other USB ports can also charge anything else around the house. The base although not essential for the charger to work but nonetheless it does its job to keep the charger upright and quite sturdy. The charger itself is not heavy (although you probably won’t have it on hand at all). The construction is light but not cheap. Feels sturdy and looks like it can take a beating (please note: do not beat your charger up).
In summary: Great buy, should last a lifetime.
Pros: This is a great charger. Has 2x USB-C ports & 4x USB-A ports. Rapid charges the Nexus 6p. Affordable. Sturdy.
Cons: Will not survive in the ocean

Ordered item and arrived following day. My main reason for ordering is to use with my Nexus 6P. My older charger station did not support Type C and ended up having to use multiple sockets and chargers to charge up all my items overnight. Now with the new charger, I can just charge all the phones, tablets and Nexus 6P from the one station. Build quality is very good and comes with a nice stand for the station. Fast charged worked as expected and took around 40 minutes to charge my 6P.
Comes with a Type C cable which was an unexpected surprise. I should have paid more attention to the what’s included in the product description.
Very pleased with the unit and I will definitely buy again either for the office or as a gift.

I received a Choetech six port USB charging station the other day from Choetech, through Amazon and wanted to provide a review of my experience with it. Like a lot of you, I have many different electrical items and devices that need charging on a daily basis. So when Choetech asked me if I wanted to review this multi port station at a discounted rate, I said yes and they sent it through. This item fits the bill perfectly and is absolutely fantastic! It fast charges my Nexus 6p, and my wife’s Galaxy S6, my IPad Air 2 and my Bluetooth headphones, and other bits and bobs all in one go, with no fuss and no issues.
The product is packed in a simple white box with Choetech branding and details of the device. Inside you get the Multi port charging station with cradle, power supply, manual and even an additional USB type C cable which is excellent. The device is not large by any means and can fit in your hands, so finding a space for it on the work top or bedside drawer should not be an issue. It is not overly heavy and light in weight but feels sturdy in the hand and the added cradle that comes with it is a welcome addition as it makes it look that much better and allows it to sit nicely on your work top, without toppling over. It feels very premium in the hand and seems to be made out of some rubber like texture which is a nice departure from regular shiny plastic and it hosts a blue LED light which indicates the device is on. The LED indicator isn’t really that bright but some people may find it distracting, so it’s worth thinking about where you will place the device. The bottom of the cradle/stand is made of non-slip material which is also quite handy and gives it a more reassuring grip to the surface of your worktop.
The unit is comprised of six ports. Two are USB type C ports which are enabled at 3 amp output and the remaining four ports are standard USB enabled at 2.4 amp output. Most people may think that the 2.4 amp won’t charge their devices quickly, but to be honest I was genuinely surprised and pleased at how fast it charged my wife’s Galaxy s6, Bluetooth headphones, and her Power bank. In terms of using USB C port for my Nexus 6p, it was excellent and rapidly charged the device with no issues whatsoever. I even borrowed my mate’s LG G5 to test out the charging on that device, and again, the performance and rapid charging on the G5 were fantastic and provided no issues whatsoever. It is also safe to use with the multiple products and comes with overheating and over voltage protection built in to ensure that nothing goes wrong.
Overall I was very pleased and happy with the product and for the price, I think you would be hard pressed to find another device, similar to the build quality and performance of this one from Choetech. I know I received it at a discounted rate, but really the price point for this is pretty good considering what you are getting with the fast charging and the amount of ports available and the overall build quality of it. For me, it is an invaluable piece of tech which will help me out on a daily basis and help to reduce the cable clutter It will also help me out when I am travelling, as I can now pack this up with a handful of standard USB and USB C cables and I’m good to go. So, no more travelling with multiple charges for multiple devices.
For disclosure purposes, I did receive this product from Choetech at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review but this has not, in any way, shaped or formed my opinion of the product as it is a fantastic device which I have no problem in recommending. I have added some images below.

they're not paying anyone, and they're one of the few companies who are putting out lots of USB c products. they are offering discounts for honest reviews, but they're products have been mostly good which is why you're seeing positive comments. the only thing I can think of that wasn't great was their type c battery bank, which didn't output via the type c and therefore didn't get the best review

This really is a nice charger. Every detail from the packaging, the feel, design, etc tell you that this is a quality product. It has a nice matte black finish, which has a great soft rubberized feel to it. The blue LED on the front concerned me at first because I don't like overt bright lights. However, the blue LED is very dim by design and it does not create a distraction sitting on the top of my computer desk. The stand is very nice bonus, it has a non-skid pad on the bottom. It came with a USB Type-C cable that it well made and seems to be built to spec.
As far as charging goes, I've thrown everything I have at it, tablets, various Android phones, iPhones, and portable battery packs. It never gave the slightest glimpse of struggle no matter the combination. I was only able to charge 5 devices at one time since I only have 1 USB Type-C device. It was able to "Rapidly" charge my Nexus 6P while simultaneously charging 4 other devices.
If you're on the fence, you should defintely pull the trigger and buy this. It's a great charger if you have several devices to charge. It has USB Type-C that charges to spec, so it's future proof for now. It's a quality product, you will not be disappointed..

I also picked this charger up and wanted to leave some feedback for others. I recently went on a trip with my fiancée and bought this along with us. The convenience of bringing just this single charger instead of the multiple chargers we would need for the both of us makes this thing absolutely worth it. I was able to charge my Nexus 6p, her 5x, her Nexus 9 tablet, my charging brick, and my Bluetooth headphones with this one charger and it never had a problem providing quick charge to the compatible devices.
This brick is worth the money and the included 2 USB c ports allows for future proofing while also allowing current USB devices to charge as well. It is a better when left on a desk or a table but packing it up for our trip wasn't a hassle either. Overall, this thing really is perfect for my situation and would highly recommend it.

CHOETECH 55W Multi USB Charging Station

I'd not heard of Choetech until a while after buying my 6p.
After I got it I started looking around for cables, chargers, and stations like this.
I have to say, this company have great customer service and they're excellent communicators.
The products that I have purchased from them do the trick exactly as I want and they're at a pretty decent price so I can't really complain. For the doubters who think customers are doing nice reviews for discounts - Do you think we would leave decent reviews for substandard products or a crappy service? Absolutely not. In fact, I'd make sure the review was terrible to reflect my anger at money being wasted on a poor product.

CHOETECH 55W Multi USB Charging Station
Hello,
I have used Choetech as they have lots of type-c products, which there seems to be a lack of. They have taken the initiative to get these products out there.
I had been looking at getting a charging station for a while, and when an offer came up for getting this at a discounted price to test it out, I thought why not!
I have to say this company have great customer service, and the quality of this product is very nice!
This product does just as it says on the box, I would highly recommend trying Choetech out, and if you have any questions on my experience please don't hesitate to ask.

hey, i am looking fo a charger OEM, since i have forgot mine in the hotel
so what is really concerning is that i have found a seller on ebay is selling OEM charger for $17!!!

Basically every charger is made in China and since Huawei is a chinese company and these ebay sellers are from China, it wouldn't surprise me that these chargers on eBay are legit although in my experience I would advise caution . As for the charger you have linked on Amazon, I haven't tried that one but I bought this one and haven't had any issues so far.

To be brutally honest with you, and this may seem a bit elitist and privileged to some, but I wouldn't trust my $600 phone with anything but an original charger or one bought directly from Google, and not Huawei, not ebay or amazon, and this goes for both chargers and cables.

Considering Google only makes 2 mediocre chargers (dual port 22W, and tethered 15W) I would rather get a 3rd party one. I have the Google dual port type C charger, but I also have ones from Choetech and Tronsmart that all work just as well as my OEM charger. I rarely use my OEM, in fact it's been in my drawer of chargers for a while now because other companies made better more versatile chargers. OEM chargers don't always use the best circuitry to control voltages, current etc, but with 3rd party chargers they have incentive to make better charges due to the intense competition. I witnesses this with my HTC 10 stock charger and Samsung one from my S7 Edge; OEM isn't always the best to say the least.

The thing is google store isnt available in my country and there is no work around, although I have a us shipping address :/

I'm using a Choetech charging station that's reasonably priced (slightly higher than what your looking at) and I've got to say it charges in very similar times to the original OEM charger, it also has the added benefit of being able to charge my smart watch and tablet at the same time too. Perfect for people who don't want chargers plugged in all over the place.

Pocketable power bank charging at 3A?

I've looked around with no luck. Considering that most of the "lipstick" ones must have a regular 18650 battery inside, the 3A output is *amply* inside the range of good batteries output (several manufacturers offer 18650 batteries capable of constant 10A output with 3.500mAh capacity, I hope that there are products like this.

There aren't many. Your best bet is the one that tronsmart makes. It's available from Amazon for 30 bucks.

While interesting is different from what I'm seeking. 6p has got a 3.500mAh battery, I would be good with a power bank worth one full charge. I come from a Note 3 and I always went out with a spare battery in my bag. Weight was less than 100g and size... well it's a Note 3 battery, I think the idea is clear. Now the "lipstick" shaped power banks are the right size and given their capacity it's obvious they have a 18650 inside... but I can't find any supporting USB C fast charging (5V/3A).

This seems interesting, too bad it's not buyable anywhere at the moment (not that I can find, I'm in Europe).

Yep that's the one. My guess is you'll end up having to make a compromise. That is about the smallest I could find.

Yes it does. To be honest I'm surprised at the dearth of products on offer that support USB-C fast charging. It's been adopted on enough phones that I was expecting something more in the sub 10,000mAh range. Bringing a 10,000mAh with you is beyond the scope of even heavy phone use on a daily basis. Whereas I can see myself needing to top up at most one full charge during a day. For that, considering the loss due to efficiency, a 4,000mAh power bank would be enough for Nexus and other phones.
Let's hope that this LeEco power bank comes to US/Europe soon (or at least to websites such as GearBest and GeekBuying).

I can recommend the ORICO 10000mAh usb-c battery pack.
It's not 3A, but 2.4A, however it still charges my Nexus 6P in about 1h 30m.
The good thing is that it supports charging two devices at the same time (one over the usb-c, and one over the standard usb port).
It also looks great, it's worth checking out.

after having this phone for about a year, the battery health has gone down so that it is almost always dead by 7-8pm now.. and carrying around a battery has become absolutely necessary in case I go out for dinner or drinks w/ friends after work...
when I have my bag w/ me.. the Orico is fine but when I'm going out w/ just a jacket.. I would like a smaller lipstick sized solution too..
Its frustrating that even after a year (and now w/ launches of the Pixels), its still so hard to find USB-C accessories :-/

Ever seen this one? It's size is manageable, it's a GMYLE 10000mAh and has a micro USB in, just in case you don't have a type C cable around

Thanks, but I really would like something that took the 18650 battery form factor and built a charger around it. I know their capacity, I know they are more than enough for whatever need I might have. Once I have a full charge with me I'm set. Unfortunately I'm not finding it... I might even accept to forfeit the USB C fast charging capacity if there was one...

I use this one and I love it. Also has a nice extra usb port so you can charge your 6P alongside another device, or charge a device while the battery pack charges. I get probably 3 full charges out of it.

Single 18650 requires voltage step up and won't fill the battery,biggest 18650 I've seen is 3400 mah. That is about the size of 6p battery but its not a 100% efficient process. You lose some from the step up to 5 volts and lose some to heat and some to resistance of connectors and cable.

I use and love the aukey one. I think is around 15000mah. It's nice and slim. And it charges faster than my 3a car charger from aukey lol

Check out this one here. Although the Ebay website's description is incomplete, other websites clearly indicate the Aukey PB-Y5 is capable of 5V-3A output. Looks like the ticket for one full charge. Unfortunately they are not shipped from the US yet so I will wait. Credit goes to MrTemz.

Wireless chargers' price seem to range from $5~50.
For example a charger from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Ult...&qid=1480795129&sr=8-1&keywords=ailun+charger) costs $5 while Samsung's one costs $20. They both charge at 5V 1A (hence perform similarly) but one is more expensive than other
What is the difference between cheap ones and expensive ones?
Are cheap ones not safe to use compared to expensive ones?

Just a small thought that maybe useful,
The more expensive ones may have a better build quality/more reliable parts. That being said, it may just be more expensive because of the brand name as I know it tends to be that way a lot with some Samsung products.
I've used a bunch of chargers around my house that are all 5V - 1.5A and one day I used my moms Samsung charger and it charged 3 times faster (think it was 5V -2.5A). If you use a device that supports fast charging, it might be a good idea to get a fast/lightning charger as it will save you a lot of time.
Hope this may get you rolling a bit in the direction of which Ines best for you!
