themes app not working - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys.
Can someone help me with this? I've unlocked my bootloader and now I can't apply themes. :crying:

You only unlocked bootloader and lost the ability to apply themes?
Try a factory reset from the settings.

[Q] Please help a noob...

Hi guys, sorry in advance for my silly question, I have just installed a factory ROM on my LG E900 (optimus 7) and have the version 7.0.7004.0... after that I have unlocked the phone usind the phones registry editor (not chevron) and I think everything went well (no errors)... but after all that I made a factory reset on the phone, now my question is: do I need to unlock it again after factory reset or it remained unlock anyway? Thanks in advance for any assistance and for your pacience as well.
What do you mean by factory reset?
Also there is one easy way to test - try sideload an application.
I would imagine that a reset would set your phone back to the way it was when you got it / after flashing it.

[Q] roooted, unlocked bootloader, is it safe to do soft reset?

I've rooted and unlocked bootloader on my Verizon S3.
I want to know if I can do a soft reset to setup new gmail account on the device?
is it safe or will it brick the device because bootloader is unlocked?
Any help is appreciated.
Yes it's safe.

Nothing will happen. You will not brick your device.
By soft reset I mean Factory Data Reset to set it up as a new device?
Will it remove the root privileges?
Sorry for asking again.
Thanks advance
No it just resets the ROM.

Just for clarification...
Factory reset will reset your data partition, not system. Your ROM lives in the system partition and all of your apps, preferences, etc live in data. So doing a factory reset will simply wipe all of your application data.

Forgot unlock password

Hi, I have forgot my password for unlocking the phone and now I need help because I dont want to restore it and loosing all the data (pictures and so on). Is there any way, please helpp
I think the only solution is to factory reset from recovery, if you can do that.
SORRY.. i think factory reset is the only way..
also i heard another way which requires twrp to be installed , but i dont recomend it, bcause it caused some serious problems to some ppl..
Do you maybe know if there is any possibility for me to recover the lost photos after?

Unlocking the boot loader to flash TWRP wipes the phone. Factory reset wipes the phone. Bottom line don't forget the password

Thanks anyway
Yeah sadly with Android 5.0+ you need root to get rid of any lockscreen security. The only way is to factory reset if you want to remove it. But sadly as mentioned rooting would wipe the phone since you have to unlock the bootloader.

it's good if you think about it ... what if a stranger wanted to get your photo's txt and contacts ?
that's the whole point in having the password in the first place

MagazineUnlock Style gone from settings.

Hey guys, after successfully rebranding and rooting my MHA-L09C185B110 into MHA-L29C636B158 everything is working perfectly fine except for one thing.
Magazine Unlock.
When I go the the "Screen lock style" in settings it's empty. There's nothing.
I figured it could be because the MagazineUnlock folder was gone from the root of the sdcard. But I re-added it with the pictures and all, but I still can't use Magazine Unlock as my lockscreen style.
Note that when going into Settings ----> Screen lock and passwords, I can see "Magazine unlock" and I can change its settings. But going to Settings ----> Screen lock and passwords ----> Screen lock style, I cannot see Magazine Unlock. So can't really choose it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nope. I did a factory reset after rooting, and then I restored my apps from from HiSuite backup. Everything restored fine except for the Magazine Lock thingy.

dloading back would remove root and relock the bootloader. So if I did unlock the bootloader again to get root, things will be wiped again. That's the thing, when I unlocked the bootloader, a lot of apps, including all keyboards, and Google Apps were removed. I had to restore from my HiSuite backup to get them back. But I guess the Magazine Unlock did not get restored.
But yeah, if I did dload back I will get the same result.
What data.zip are you talking about? I'd appreciate it if you could give me a link!

Bypass Lockscreen

My friend uses Honor 6X. He is on stock Nougat ROM. He is no more now. Is there a way to bypass his phone's Lockscreen without losing data so we could get to know some details we need?
*And his phone's bootloader is Locked.
*No way to enable developer options.
*Can i boot into fastboot mode and using adb commands can i boot via TWRP temporarily?
Since the bootloader is locked, the only thing he can do is factory reset.
Don't forget to remember which Google account he used, as it will be required after the factory reset
