I was messing around with my phone on TWRP and decided to reset it by wiping from TWRP.
Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and I can't fix it.
I've tried the "dload" method but it doesn't work
I've only had this phone for a day

I'm on the same situation on my MHA-L29 (EU version)!
I've installed the TWRP, and got a bootloop (the device doesn't recognise any OS installed).
Here's what I've tried:
1- Huawei Update PC (doesn't recognise the device to update)
2- dload (tries to install the update via USB load stock recovery but stucks on 28% and again the bootloop)
3- tried to flash via fastboot the extracted .img files from the firmware (boot.img recovery.img and system.img because there's no cust.img file inside this firmware or at least I could not find it)
Anybody has another idea? Maybe a TWRP backup from any charitable soul (MHA-L29 EU version)?
Thanks everybody in advance!!

There are two methods:
1. Via FunkyHuawei: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/introducing-funkyhuawei-flash-official-t3515875/page97
2. Manually: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...cial-twrp-huawei-mate-9-t3515617/post70391950
Thanks @5[Strogino] Have you been able to solve the Error:7 when flashing by TWRP the update_full_hw_eu.zip?
I'm trying that and no luck!!
What about flashing the extracted files from Update.app? Will work? (there's no cust.img file there...)
Thanks!!!

No, i did not solve this error. Author of TWRP-build told about lack of kernel-sources. If Huawei will post these sources, someone could be able to build TWRP compatible with official updates.

My Honor6 Plus(pe-tl10) was working properly on b336, then i tried to update it to marshmallow(b503).
But i made a mistake, i extracted update.zip(b334 to b503) and install update.app to my device. updating it was successful but it stop the boot logo screen and reboot. These is repeated indefinitely.
this is similar to this problem, so i tried the guide
flashing recovery.img and boot.img succeeded. but i failed to update b336.
i starts it while pushing three buttons but it freezes in the boot logo screen, so i can't update my device.
i have no ideas, please help me !!!
To restore to b336, I think you have to flash a stock recovery from previous version than b336 and then put the update.app to update to b336

So what is the problem with your phone now? Is it booting? Stuck on honor logo or recovery or twrp?
Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
Which version of Android (better yet if you know the firmware build) you were using?
How did it brick? What is your CUST (regional settings of your firmware)?
Oops, forgot that you already wrote down EMUI and build... Please share other details then...

Let's try the quickest way to unbrick...
Download the latest firmware for your phone and extract to get dload folder containing UPDATE.APP.
Copy dload folder containing UPDATE.APP to an SD card, insert it in your phone and press power + vol up + vol down until phone reboots.
Let go of power but keep pressing other two for 5,6 sec more.
It will force update to the latest firmware and unbrick the phone.
If it does not work, the above information will help me to understand the situation in depth and advise accordingly.

Hi,
I need your help: I might have bricked my Mate 9 while trying to root it. Right now it makes a boot loop. I still have access to TWRP:
I already WIPED the phone with TWRP (all apart from the Systempartition) but I'm still out of luck.
I downloaded the current firmware (FULL) and extracted the update.app, copied it into a "dload" folder on my SDCARD but I get a "Software install failed" after 5% from the HUAWEI updater tool (which opens when pressing VolumeDown while booting). I tried it with bootloader unlocked and relocked.
I really hope you guys have another idea!
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,

Thanks for the feedback. I HEARD that the new filesystem of the Mate9 renders the phone with that process. As you can see I'm a noob, I just wanted to ask if anybody was succesful with HuaweiExtractor on the Mate9
Also fastboot flashing method not working
Phone bootloap
So that means it's bricked? I just made a donation for "Funky Huawei" hoping that this solution will let me flash it back to normal. But I start running out of ideas.
Any other options?
Just to let you all know: I tried FunkyHuawei and I was able to recover my Mate9! Everything is working fine again.

Help. I have destroyed my device. I have installed EMUI 5.0. Then I installed twrp 3.1.1. Everything was fine. Then I have flashed a wrong supersu file. Now I only get into the fastboot mode and the "erecovery". The TWRP 3.1.1 I can not flash. It means i can flash it with adb, but the device always boots into the system. My smartphone hangs in the bootloop. (After Honor logo it restarts again and again) What can I do? How can a go back to stock? Or flash twrp without booting the system after flashing twrp? Hope someone can help me

That's great. Yes you can upgrade. No need to use a different TWRP and SuperSU. Just be sure to mount Vendor partition when flashing SuperSU.

Hi,
Thanx for the answers, the solution is to copy the update.app files on the sd card and reboot pressing all the buttons... I came back with a bootloader locked and fresh rom...

Sometimes when you root, it takes 2 to 3 reboots (it bootloops, and then it'll be good)

From B361 to B130? You need to rollback, dunno if flashing will works. For root you can choose which package to use, Magisk or SuperSU. Personally i recommend Magisk.

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately I don't have a rollback package for my device, I don't know why but my device is a BLN-L21C185 which doesn't accept the rollback package of Berlin and Italy too. I have tried them both a long time before but they didn't work for my and gave wrong version error. As far as the rooting and flashing an older version of the firmware has been possible on other devices but I really don't have any idea for the 6X or may be you call it Nougut.

You don't have a TWRP backup? If not, you can choose between using dload method to flash update.app all in once, or manually flash recovery.img, vendor.img and boot.img from a stock firmware by adb fastboot and perform a factory reset (all files that you can extract from a package using Huawei Extractor)

You can boot to erecovery by powering off your phone, then power it on again. Once you see the bootloader warning, press and hold the volume up button. It should take you to erecovery. You can select the first option there and it will download and flash the latest firmware.

I think I can work with all. I've already used dload to upgrade my device.
I've ADB installed on my laptop and have also used some commands adb mod and fastboot mod.
I can also root my device and use TWRP to flash any thing, my only concern is, which way should I choose.

from a custom ROM of nougat.. to a stock ROM nougat.. you need adb and fastboot..
Tools:
1. Huawei update extractor tool (can easily download it by googling.. if need help i can help u further)
2. Extract (simple extract) update.app from the dload folder of a stock recovery to your PC.
3. open the huawei extractor tool and choose the path where you placed update.app in your PC .
4. now Extract system.img and boot.img from update.app
5. if you wish to go to stock recovery instead of twrp.. u can extract recovery img too from there..
6. now put these in adb and fastboot folder
7. and flash them..
Now the tool opens update.app .
Extract system.IMG and boot.IMG from update.app

Or a more simple way to restore is to restore the TWRP backup. We always recommend to have a backup before doing anything critical on phone but still many mess around.

Exactly mate, the best is to always keep at least a couple of backups, in case something could go wrong while reflashing 1st one

I literally messed my phone on 15th August. Had backup but deleted the same while formatting, forgot a copy on pc.
But luckily had a file taken on 1st August..
Life saver

Whats your model Mahrukhsa..may be you can share the twrp backup of stock or custom rom if you have any..just boot+system will work. We are planning and sharing ours so that others can use it and restore their phone

But root isn't a must, an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery could be enough!
