Help!!! How to root SM-N915A running on Marshmallow 6.0.1 - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

XDA, would it be possible to look into rooting a Samsung Note Edge (SM-N915A) with Marshmallow 6.0.1. I've tried different things, but there doesn't seem to be a process for this phone with that OS.

2nded!
Is there a way to root the 915T already updated to 6.0.1 dpj2 (October update)?

Root SM-N915A? Please?
I have discovered that the bootloader on my SM-N915A (ATT) Note Edge is locked up tight. I am very eager to root this phone, as I have had it since release and I have yet to use it to its full potential. Perhaps a bounty (like Verizon's Note Edge)? Is anyone interested in cracking open this bootloader?

Downgrading Galaxy S6 Cricket

Would I encounter any problems if I was to downgrade from 5.0.2 G920AZTUU2AOF4 to 5.0.2 G920AZTUU1AOD1 ? I want to gain root access again. The G920AZTUU1AOD1 is rootable while the G920AZTUU2AOF4 version isn't.
It's on the Galaxy S6 from Cricket.
Thanks
I'm on same boat hope some expert can shed some light
Same issue as above.
In January 2016 is 2AOF4 rootable yet? If not does anyone know procedure to downgrade to 1AOD1 in order to get root?

Qualcomm processor? No. Not yet and no estimate either. There's plenty of complaining about it though so I'm frankly surprised you had to start a thread about it.
There is actually a bounty out now on getting the bootloader unlocked now. Some are pledging money just for persistent root. Go to the T-mobile S7 edge forums to find it. I'm using the XDA app on my phone otherwise I'd link it.

Need help rooting! Thanks. [Galaxy S6 g920f]

I want to root my samsung galaxy s6 non-edge - g920f.
The problem is, I found a video where you download the twrp from google drive, I couldn't download that file since too many users had already downloaded it.
I then searched for a one-click root, which failed since the ones I found don't support 6.0.1 or are only for the edge.
Would someone mind helping me? Thanks soo much in advance everyone.
this might help

Simple question about rooting s6 and s6 edge

So i have a verizon s6 running 7.0
baseband g920vvrs4dqk1
build # nrd90m.g920vvrs4dqk1
security patch nov.1 2017
I also have an at&t s6 edge running 7.0
baseband g925aucs7erc1
build # nrd90m.g925aucs7erc1
security patch march 1 2018
So I've been searching for months looking for info on xda and the web to get root for them but from everything I've found says it's not possible without tripping knox.. but everything seems to either brick, boot-loop or is not legit.
What I want to know is:
Can I get root for either one of them?
I'm not worried about the warranty since they are already expired or Knox since if I can get root I'd like to get rid of it all together and I really want them rooted so I can get a debloat Rom for them and play around with them..
So can someone please help me and give me some good news for Christmas... thanks for any time, help and/or advise it's greatly appreciated and respected
You can't root any AT&T and Verizon variant of S6 series (S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus) no matter what.

Because the locked bootloader? That sucks.. was hoping it was just because of the warranty and no one wanting to avoid it...

Galaxy S8 SM-G590U snapdragon still impossible to root? Help!!

Ok so I have a U.S. Galaxy S8 SM-G950U (Sprint)
Android Version: 8.0.0 (downgraded from 9.0) Android Security Patch Level: July 1, 2018 Baseband Version: G950USQS5CRF5 Build Number: R16NW.G950USQS5CRF5
This model doesn't have an unlocked bootloader and after doing a couple of days research on the net, it seems impossible that it can be unlocked because it's Snapdragon.
I really want to root this phone with TWRP recovery and SU Superuser or just another variant that allows me to install SU Superuser.
I've seen reports on XDA Dev that it's been figured out for S8+ but for S8 it seems the OEM unlock is still needed.
Can ANYONE help? Is there any way of rooting this model at all? A link to a step by step guide would be great or any advice/info you can give.
Thank you!
Don't know if you have moved on, found out the answer or are still interested in an answer. I'm not anyone with much of any knowledge about these types of things but I have an s8 and had it rooted. So the short answer is YES IT IS POSSIBLE. Good luck with your endevours
Is your S8 snapdragon? If so what version are you on? Im on Android 9 Pie with snapdragon. I would love to be able to root
I got the same issue, samsung s8 Sm-G950U unlocked from Sprint i got no idea on how to root it first and then unlock it for any carrier. OEM unlock is not active on Sprint devices and i think this is the key to successfully get the phone rooted. Any suggestion would be appreciated for that specific type of phone and carrier/ Thanks
