Photos keep getting distorted - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hey guys has anyone experienced this when I take photos they are fine and then some will get distorted and cut off some of the photo and change the colours at the bottom.
Would it be the SD card causing this? It's so annoying because its ruining my photos

Yes I think is SD card problem.... Try to take a lot of pictures to be saved in internal storage and see what happens...

Stop using that card if it's faulty. It could cause other issues for you

Class 10 64gb micro SD SanDisk UHS-1 working [Video]

Class 10 64gb micro SD SanDisk UHS-1 working. Initially disappointed by the fact it would stutter with video/audio or both when used in the micro SD slot. Taking a look at XDA, others also are having the same problems with it.

Today, checked to see if the problem could be replicated in a Stock Transformer Prime. Absolutely no problems with it via the micro SD slot. WTF!? Put it back in the Infinity and all of a sudden no problems. The 64gb was to be used in conjunction with the SD card adapter but no more since it works now.
Exactly why it works now I have no clue.
1. Stock Infinity non-rooted
2. Did not format the micro SD out of the box

Out of interest have you crossed over the 4gb of data threshold on the card yet? Mine worked fine until it hit that and then crashed.
Not sure if thats connected though

With a single file, I have not. None of my video files are over 2gb but I have moved multiple files that equal above 4gb.

How to get Camera shots save to SD Card?

I have all my music, files, photos, etc all saved to my external 64gb SD Card from before. Goal is to keep it this way and basically only use phone storage for downloaded apps. I have camera settings set to save camera photo to SD Card and manage storage settings for this as well. I take a Screenshot and it saves on Internal SD Card storage, not external. Am I missing something?

I just took a photo with the camera app and it saves fine on my external sd card. I guess then when you take screenshots it is only possible to save on internal storage?
screenshots don't ever go to sdcard

Hello guys, my Ascend Mate 7 broke another MicroSD card. First was Samsung Evo 32GB and after few months, Kingston 32GB.
Just two icons appear, with information:
1) Hardware error SD card. Perform backup data and replace the card .
2) Damaged SD card. Media SD card is damaged. Click to fix it.
Any of above option doesn't work and i get error:

I seriously doubt this. More than likely just bad luck. But it's your call
I talked with Huawei support, they were also surprised. Bad luck or really a technical problem.

[Q] Does the s7 support 256GB SD card?

Does it support it since i've only heard that the expandable storage is 128~max no mention of the higher versions:

nvm should have google before this but it seems it supports it without any problems
Yes it does and they work great with adoptable storage available via ADB. Hint there's a guide on here already

Basically the system will recognize the card as internal storage but it's disabled in the UI hence using a pc with ADB to enable it. I have mine set up in split mode with 215gb internal and 25gb partitioned external. There are a few quirks about it, never format the external partition as it will take the internal partition with it, don't ask haha . Also the system incorrectly reports total storage not a big deal. A quick search will tell you more. :good:
Samsung was giving away a free 256GB Micro-SD cards when purchasing an S7 as a promotion a few months ago. Mine has been working just fine so far.
Woking fine without any problems.....

SD card, what it does on this device?

Just got the new Zenfone 6, 64 Gb.
Popped a 128GB SD card and it took me long to find the option to format, done that but all photos and apps are still being recorded in the internal memory. So, what is the SD card doing here? Only to backup stuff if needed?
Maybe this will help you: the first one- Developer options, the second one- stock camera app settings:

You can go inside the Asus camera app -> Settings
Scroll down and find "Save to"
Choose; Internal Storage

The camera settings did helped, but the dev options one does not seem to work for an app that I just installed.

You don't want to install apps on the SD card anyway. It will be significantly slower. That's why it's hidden in the dev settings.
The SD card is for mass storage of media files and data backups pretty much.
