Hello Everybody
I have an AT&T version of Google Nexus S mobile phone running Android 4.0.4 version.
I have successfully unlocked the boot loader so far.
I have tried to install both CWM Touch Recovery 5.8.2 and 6.0.7 via fastboot in Microsoft Windows 7.
The command i ran is fastboot flash recovery recovery-image-file.img
Installation is always being succeeded.
But i am always getting stock recovery when i press volume up and power and select recovery option from the menu.
Can anybody assist me?
I have resolved the problem with an amazing tool called Nexus S & Galaxy Nexus one click root toolkit

can I downgrade CMW Recovery version using ADB? Cannot flash ROM because will get Status 7 error. From what I've read in this forum, I noticed that I've flash my recovey with the wrong version. And for the record, my tab cannot boot into android and bootloader menu. When I reboot, it will always loading back into CMW Recovery.
I am currently using nexus 4, nexus 7 2013
They are both boot loader unlocked and I wish to root them. Hi I know that to to rooting needs a custom recovery (cwm or twrp) to install supersu binary.
But after custom recovery I can't update the device via ota. Can I root without flashing recovery or can I flash back the stock nexus recovery?
Do all nexus devices share the same recovery?Fla
shing those recovery will not wipe my device once my boot loader is unlocked??

Reboot to bootloader, and use fastboot to flash the stock image. ADB is not for bootloader mode.

I try to flash a custom rom but my pc not recognise the device
I reinstall drivers
i dont know what i do ..PLS HELPPPP
If you have access to recovery, you can try to flash a rom from there.
You have access to Fastboot, so you can flash a Stock Firmware Image. Here is the tutorial:
