SoftBrick Challenge Honor 8 (FRD-L09) - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hi Guys, the only possibility at the moment my honor 8 to address is in fastboot & rescue mode.
Unfortunately, the bootloader and the frp locked.
I have no way with dload, hardreset and fastboot commands to achieve an input.
Has anyone an idea how I can this situation come out?
Thanks for your helpful inputs.
Nice greetings from Switzerland, Adrian

Hi @traffic88
What did you do to Softbrick your Phone? What happens exactly when you go to dload mode?

I think you will need to reinstall the stock OS back onto your device. Good luck with that!

First off you have never said what phone you have .. their are 4 - L09 variants I need the L09CxxxBxxx from when the phone was working last
flashing the stock firmware back with dload does not require any recovery installed
and it doesn't matter of your bootloader is locked or not

your making a big deal out of nothing...
You don't need Recovery for anything
you unzip this Rollback file to your sdcard/dload >>https://community.hihonor.com/exter...downloadId=92131&version=360512&siteCode=uk-h
and flash it by powering off the phone and then booting it up with Power+volume up + volume down hold all three until the update starts
after it's done unzip this one to your sdcard/dload and flash it the same way >> https://community.hihonor.com/exter...downloadId=92101&version=360392&siteCode=uk-h
and their you go, your back on marshmallow B131
A simple Google search found the results right here
https://community.hihonor.com/docs/DOC-1752
Most likely you forgot the rollback flash it's easy to fix

give a try by extracting update.app and flashing stock firmware images in fastboot. It will mostly solve the problems.
Or if TWRP installed just make a clean flash with stock ROM.

Hi guys, thank you very much, it worked, but now I'm at the b360 how do i upgrade to the b380 or even better since it came out to the b389?
Sorry but through hisuite I do not notice any updates, even the phone, If I understand I should go from b360 to b380 then b381 and later I can install the b389 which is what i would like to install, getting to the point i can not even install The b380 through FF. Sorry if it is off topic.

You can. Just backup your stock recovery and stock boot image before your root. If you want to receive OTAs again, just restore those two then uninstall your root app.

Bricked and not able to do anything

Hala!
This evening I was trying to use the dlad method. At the beginning I flashed the rollback package then I went to flash EMUI 4.1. While I was flashing EMUI 4.1 I forgot to disconnect my device from PC, so it took me to a different screen which is identical to the updating screen. I unplugged the wire and waited for a minute or two but nothing happened, so I forced it to restart again. Then I flashed dload successfully. Unfortunately, my phone got stuck on boot screen. :crying:Whatever I did after that nothing worked, I had vibration on phone, sometimes it also vibrated for twice or thrice at once and it restarted. The computer didn't detect the phone, I was not able to go to bootloader or recovery or reflash the firmware holding the 3 keys. So I waited for the battery and thought maybe I would get some luck but not worse. Whenever I connect it to the official Huawei charger the phone is not detecting it, so I am using a 1A charger now. Well, now it takes some juice from the charger but even if I don't touch my phone it's showing the boot screen. Now if I try to restart or maybe use load or boot to bootloader or recovery, it's showing no charge.
I don't want to contact Support. So help me if you have any idea about it.

Anyone have a stock EMUI 5.0 TWRP Backup for a Huawer GR5 2017 (BLL-L22)

Hi,
Is anyone willing to send me a TWRP of stock EMUI 5.0 on the Huawei GR5 2017 (BLL-L22) I can't seem to get back to stock, and the only way I can see myself getting back on stock will be with a TWRP backup. Anyone who'd be willing to do this for me would be much appreciated.

Here's the build number: BLLl-L22C636B370 .You send me two zips that ended at 370, and they didn't flash, ending in error 7. Only way I see this issue being fixed is via TWRP restoration from someone else's clean (BLL-L22C636B370) backup.
@Rommco05 figured it out. I needed to boot into fastboot and flash recovery, boot and then system image. Then I had to reboot into fastboot. After that I had to remove my micro sd card, extract the update.app from the B370 update, and copy it via a micro sd to usb adapter. I placed it back into the phone, and held power, volume up and down and the stock image flashed succesfully but rebooted into a grey screen, so I had to go into the stock recovery and wipe davlik cache and factory reset and then the device successfuly booted.
