Kernel processes wakelocking all time - General Questions and Answers

My phone has suddenly recently started to flick out wakelocks all the time, and battery would drain in few hours to 0% when it should mostly be in deep sleep mode.
Checking that everything is still not doing some weirdos in the background, I installed Wakelock Detector app
And.. after around a whole day, nothing seems to be wakelocking my phone as per the app
So.. after enabling advanced mode and switching to "Kernel wakelocks", here's what I see:

}
So now what, what are those kernel processes and why are they wakelocking my phone? what on earth can I do about them?

I looked at
Code:
/etc/power/wake_lock
and it seems like
Code:
mal_isi
(whatever that is) is wakelocking the phone all the time.
All I did was editing that file and removing the
Code:
mal_isi
wakelock and everything worked. The wakelock didn't appear again.

startingdockservices wakelock

I use a car dock daily during my commute and I've noticed that this wakelock (startingdockservices) has been keep my device awake long after it is undocked (I keep it charging in the dock). I'm running SlimKat 4.1 and have been for a couple weeks now, using KT747 kernel. Any idea what to do about this wakelock?
Here's a screenshot of my partial wakelocks. Obviously I have bigger problems, but this is definitely a major culprit. Also, if anyone has any insight into that *vibrator* wakelock from OkCupid that would be sweet, this was from literally one notification (a single quick vibrate) earlier in the day, don't think that warrants 9 minutes of wakelock time. I'm looking for any and all ideas on how to increase my battery life, so if you see anything here that I could fix please let me know!

[Q] Is this battery level graph normal?

What do the gaps mean in this graph? Never saw this before Lollipop OTA update?

Usually the gaps show when your phone is powered off for that period of time.
That's the thing. My phone is never powered off, it's either in use or on standby.
I am also finding that bluetooth never goes to sleep and the "keep awake" reading is the same as the number of hours the phone has been on and is the highest battery consumer.
Anyone else?
As far as I know, if you don't power off, then it is abnormal. For Bluetooth you may want to get an app such as better battery stats to try and determine if a rogue app is responsible.

[Q] [BatteryDrain] [XT1032] [Lollipop] Drain when phone inactive and in airplane mode

As you can see, all radios were off during the night and phone was inactive, yet somehow it was draining battery with constant speed.
It is stock GPE 4.4.4 OTA upgraded up to 5.1, no root or customizations. And the battery was performing pretty well on 5.1, phone would survive 2 days, and then this started. Wakelock detector does not show anything reasonable. No lots of wakelocks, no long time active applications, nothing suspicious (but it does not display kernel wakelocks). It says phone was in deep sleep 98% of the time, yet, it somehow has drained 30% of the battery. Rebooting, disabilng GPS did not help, it just keeps wasting energy with at least 2% per hour when it is idle.

S6 wakelock is at 99% and high battery drain

Hi , need some help figureing out what is the cause of the high drain. Please also see attached pictures. I noticed that on full charge.. the phone does not last even 6-7 hours. So i installed wakelock detector and it shows that the phone is awake 99% of the time.
just an hour ago my battery was at 50% now now it went flat and switched off. this is weird

Problem is that i am not able to find out what is the app that is causing it. Recently all i did was to install magisk on my phone, could this be the reason?
So far this are the sets i have done:
set phone to power saving
close location
restrict data for google play, google services
optimize apps to save power all time
bring phone brightness all the way down and remove auto brightness
no sync
So any help would be much appreciated. this started happening a week ago.
Do an Factory Reset and see if it helps.

I had the same issue....try to reset app permission for the all the apps and see if it resolves.
In night actually i loose only 4%... same with all phone.... 2 % or 4 % maximum in flight mode !
Doesn't look like a widespread issue. Must be an app or maybe a syncing service. Check all apps. This is actually surprising because vivos OS likes to kill all apps
