After updating my Pixel to Android 7.1.1, I canĀ“t find the "Cool Color Temperature" option anymore. It appears when I search for the option, but when I click on it, it is not available. Does anybody know how to fix it?
It's called picture color mode "use sRGB" in developer options.

Hi guys, I Dont know how to activate "floating windows" on my device. I
downloaded EasyTouch(Holo Style) from play store and when I run the app
I got a pop up message "enable and activate display floating window". I've searched the device setting but I can't find/dont know how to activate the floating window. Can anyone tell me how to activate that thing? By the way I'm on android 6 (marshmallow) by fire588.
Thanks in advance.

I think you need to enable the " draw over other apps" under app permissions in settings

Thanks for the response. But I can't find " draw over other apps" under app permission under settings. All I can find under the app permission is toggle for camera, phone, location, storage etc. I found "multi window mode" in the developers option and I enabled it but that didn't solve my problem either. Tried googling, but got no solution. Some said that "display floating window" has been dropped by google in android 6 due to security reasons. Is that true?
Edit: Thanks. Solved my problems. Many thanks.
Settings - notifications - manage notifications - select desired app and turn on floating window
There is a multi-window option under developer settings. Just saying. I know it is not the same as floating windows.
I remember reading on here that you can change the PPI to 402 on here but I can't remember where I read it. Does anyone know if this is actually possible?
Settings\More Settings\Developer Options. Scroll to Drawing\Minimum Width setting. Remember the default setting before you make changes. I think it's 360DPI. Watch the beginning of this youtube video on how to enable Developer Options if you can't access those settings.

guys, it's not that hard to do developer mode....
To enable "Developer Mode" on Vivo NEX S
Settings>More Settings>About Phone>Tap on "Software Version" 7 times then go to the previous screen. "Developer Options" is now added at the very bottom.
Notes
1. You do not need to turn on "Developer Options" switch to make adjustments to "minimum width" settings in the Drawing section.
2. This does not change the actual PPI of the screen (obviously), only sets DPI scaling, or the ability to adjust the size of on-screen content. Decreasing the value will give you larger icons and make text easier to read while increasing it will make on-screen elements smaller and fit more content on the screen.
ill have to cross post this in the other thread for clarification. apparently some are going through a lot of steps like downloading apps or having to connect to computer when it's as easy as tapping the screen a few times....
Does XZP support this function? How to enable it?
I checked my phone when I get an SMS or some other notification if I long press the notification it pop up a mark as read, and something else, but no "reply".
I think the feature is added since android N, but why my XZP does not have this function?
I looked through the settings, and can't find any settings about it.
thanks.
So I've scoured the developer options on the phone and found a way to change the shape of the notch, but can't figure out a way to have apps go full screen. Anyone know a way to make this work?
You're in the wrong thread. 4a has a hole punch camera in the front. No notch to change the shape of or hide
Okay, apologize for the incorrect term usage here. I am using my 4a, in the Developer Options menu there is a sub-menu for "Display cutout" which is what I was able to change the "notch" as I called it. Is there a way to add to this list or to disable the display cutout in some apps?
People, I switched to miui with emui and was already tortured with these settings.
Tell me how to disable these window overlays in notifications?
There is no such problem with WhatsApp, but with standard messages and Telegram.
Is it some kind of broken floating window or something?
They seem to look different - with rounded corners.
And here is some kind of crap in the form of a floating shortcut that can be expanded by a third of the screen.
And this is a square mini window with a human face. Very annoying.

In settings, go in "Notifications & Control Center", "Notification shade", and chose Android instead of MIUI.
As well, for disabling the "pop up" windows, go in the notification settings of the app and disable "Floating Notifications"

Even this seems to not work for the Google Android Messages app, disabled the floating notifications for the app and set the shade to Android instead of MIUI but still no luck.
