Connecting multiple Bluetooth devices - Samsung Gear S3

I have an S7 edge a gear S3 and a set of over ear Bluetooth headphones, if I connect all 3 (headphones and watch paired to phone) then I can't use the Spotify control on the S3. I just get the loading symbol.
The S3 and the headphones both function normally when they are both in use other than the Spotify issue so I'm not sure where the problem is or if there even is a problem.
Could it be interference? Can the phone maybe not cope with both? Or it's just a step too far to playback on the headphones and control with the S3? Maybe a limitation of the Spotify app itself?
It's not a real problem for me because these headphones are rarely used outside where I would want to keep the phone in a pocket and use the easy control of the S3, more just curious about the cause.

Bluetooth Issue

I used to have a Galaxy SII that was able to connect to my car stereo through bluetooth with no issue.
With the Tmobile One S, often time my phone does not full connect it will do things like only connect for phone use but not for listening to music. I also used to be able to control moving the songs and I can no longer do that. I also cannot get the metadata to show up on the car display.
Many times a reboot will hook the audio up and I can listen to music, but I still can only go forwards and backwards by using the phone.
Is anyone else having issues like this?
Yep, I got the same issues....A2DP sync problem.
Does it sync your phone contacts too. If so change what contacts are synced only allow google contacts. This was a solution for a similar issue in another thread.
Sent back in time to find Marty.
No, I don't sync my contacts...worked perfectly with MyTouch4G...also noticed headset droid and jays headset control take away Bluetooth control capability...anyone know a work around besides disabling?
Same issue here with my bluetooth headset (Cardo scala rider G4) and HTC One X.
Since installing Jays headset control for my Jays One+ (which is a one-button wired headset) my bluetooth headset control fails big time. I can only use my headset play functionality and after disconnecting the headset the music player starts playing music again within a couple of minutes.
I'll try to disable Jays headset control and let you know if this resolves my bluetooth problems.
how do/when do you select which contacts to send to headset? Didn't see an option for this in Bluetooth settings.
I received the Tmobile update today and I still have the issue of the phone not transmitting the metadata to my radio. Interestingly enough when I stream Pandora the data from pandora shows on my radio display.
Do any of you all know of a ROM that will allow the metadata to be sent from my phone to the radio?
This is the only thing that really annoys me about this phone. Thinking of selling it when the SIII comes out.

Bluetooth Audio

How is the Bluetooth audio quality on the S6? I use many wireless headphones and speakers so this is an important factor for me. Is it true that the Bluetooth audio randomly stops sometimes?
Mine randomly starts to skip and pop after some time playing. Turning the BT off/on fixes it for a while.
The problem is worse when paired with my Bēm speaker, rare when paired with my JBL speaker, and nonexistent when paired with my Sony soundbar.
All of these speakers work fine with my other devices.
I only use bluetooth with my truck's stock stereo, but this is the first Android device I've had paired with it that doesn't skip over BT. I've used it with S6, Note 3, Note 4, S5 Active, S4 Active and iPhone 6+. iP6+ was the only other one that didn't skip.
S5 Active and Note 3 also skip with a Jensen BT Nav headunit in a different vehicle.
An update to my previous comment..
I went for an hour-long drive and experienced no skipping or popping while paired to my car's stereo.
It seems the issues are only with specific Bluetooth receivers/speakers.
I can get on-board with this. I have a few different bluetooth devices, all of which have no trouble, ever, but then sometimes (and ONLY sometimes) my BT headphones will skip and stutter to the point that I just turn them off. The other devices work fine 100% of the time.
I'm at my wit's end with the bluetooth on this device. It skips and stutters more times than not. It's embarrassing when friends are over and we're trying to have some background music playing.

No BT problems here. Maybe you have a defective phone. Take it back to the store and try to exchange it. There is no excuse for crappy BT on a $700+ device.
My wife has an S6 also, with the same issues.
I have FINALLY noticed an issue with the BT on my phone. When connected to my truck and listening to music, I go to a call (incoming or outgoing doesn't matter), when the call ends and goes back to the music, the volume "flutters". It goes low/high/low/high alternating twice a second. It's a very slight change, but it's enough to notice that it sounds "weird".
Exiting and restarting PowerAMP, or switching to a different input then back to the BT audio stream will fix it, so I haven't figured out if it's the phone or my truck.

Bluetooth audio crackles through vehicle when phone is also paired to Gear S3

My setup: Gear S3 Frontier [connected to] Galaxy S7 [connected to] vehicle.
The Bluetooth audio going from the S7 to the vehicle will crackle when my Gear S3 Frontier is also connected to the S7. When enabling airplane mode on the Gear S3, I will immediately hear the audio quality get better and the crackling stops.
Is the issue with the way the S7 is handling multiple Bluetooth connections? Or is there some sort of interference with the vehicle?
Same issue here with S8+ and Gear S3 Classic.
Multiple cars and same issue. Airplane mode quickly resolves it, but I would like to figure a way to not turn my watch off this frequently.
I don't have any Bluetooth headphones, but that may be a good step to further identifying the root cause of the problem. I haven't ever heard the crackling from my Bluetooth speakers so at this point I think its related to vehicular Bluetooth systems. My Bluetooth speakers aren't that great though so i may just be missing it.

I just tested a song with this little Bluetooth adapter that I have (http://gadgetunit.com/2017/03/29/mini-bluetooth-audio-receiver-for-3-5mm-audio-devices-video-review/) and indeed noticed the crackling. The song I used was "Seasons" by "The Veer Union" as the first 30~ seconds has very noticeable crackling. The moment my watch enters airplane mode, the crackling stops and the fidelity improves.
I'm leaning towards the phone that's being the culprit. What I might do is test watch + car connectivity with a few other devices I have around (Galaxy J7 on Android 7.1, Idol 4S on Windows 10 Mobile (not wanting to test features, but just need the phone to connect to the watch and a vehicle / speaker / headphone)).

Question BT connection to two devices

Is it possible to keep BT connected to two devices at the same time?
I have a fitness band with no built in GPS and when running outdoor it needs pairing with its app to track GPS data, but I tipically listen to music via BT headphone while running.
thx
I ride a mountain bike connecting with BT ear buds for music, BT media controller on handlebars (for volume, skip, pause etc) and also connected to BT bike GPS, all with no issues
Yes, it is possible....I have my my samsung smartwatch connected and when I go for a walk I connect my buds pro as well...No issues
Thx will try again, maybe I did something wrong
It can. I have mine connected to the gear, razer anzu and if i get in the car - it connects to the car as well. All at the same time.
I'm not sure how it works with other devices but in order forbme to pair with both of my bt speakers I have to enable them both in media output. Pull down the the notifications bar, it's right next to device control.

Question Is there a way or an app to use your Galaxy Watch 4 as a Bluetooth speaker for your phone?

I know it sounds pointless, but still sounds neat and probably has its uses somewhere.
I want to connect my Bluetooth headphones to GW4 and re-route my Redmi 11i Phone's audio to the GW4 so that both audio outputs can be heard by one Bluetooth headphone.
Cause when I have connected my Bluetooth headphones to my phone and make a call from GW4, it will direct call audio to the watch (as the call was made from the watch), and when I switch audio from WATCH interface it will switch the call audio output to PHONE SPEAKER and Not the BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES I have connected to the phone unless I change that from the Phone itself.
So basically to avoid using the phone to make a call, I need my headphone connected to GW4 to get all the media/call audio into my Bluetooth Headphones. And the watch needs a Bluetooth speaker connected to play YouTube music ONLINE.
So ONE BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES = PHONE's + WATCH's Call/Media audio outputs heard.
You gotta hand it to me for thinking this. Please provide some solution. So I just an app to direct my phone's media (General audio) output to my Google watch 4 and I will connect my Bluetooth Speaker to the watch. I can accept ROOT solutions too, I'll just ROOT my phone IDC.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I use Bose Buds and if I am listening to music from my phone and make a call initiated from my watch, it DOES go to the buds. Not sure if this is an issue with your phone or just the settings, but mine work as you would like.
