Coolpad, has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone in India. Coolpad Max, which was launched in Indonesia is making its India debut at Rs 24,999.
Coolpad Max comes with 4GB RAM and has Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor under the hood. Coolpad Max features a 5.5-inch FHD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
On the camera front, Coolpad Max features a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens. Coolpad is using ISOCELL image sensor, similar to the one we saw on Lava V5 smartphone. The smartphone has a 5 MP front camera. Coolpad Max features metal unibody design with the back panel looking very similar to HTC One A9.
Coolpad believes 2016 will be the crucial year for the company to become a global brand. “We plan to invest larger on global market and targeting 100 per cent annual growth,” said Bin, Coolpad Group CEO.
He further added that company will announce two disruptive smartphones before Diwali as part of ‘Make in India’ initiative. Coolpad devices will also be available via offline retail channels later this year.
Coolpad Max is a 7.6mm thin smartphone that weighs only 170g. Coolpad Max is however not about its specs, but rather about the ‘Dual in One’ option. Coolpad Max offers separate space for professional and personal data and claims this offers better security for user data. The company offers data encryption by default with dual isolation technology.
Coolpad Max offers option to have two accounts for social media apps, and various messaging apps. The feature is more akin to Kids Corner on Windows Phone, but with added features.

The smartphone will be available in Rose Gold and Gold colour options. The smartphone will be Amazon exclusive with sale starting from May 30. The device will have strong competition from Xiaomi’s Mi 5 and OnePlus 2.

To be honest this is far from a flagship killer. The chip alone puts it in the mid range device.

i searched everywere regarding root but still noone knows how to do it
They're all a similar price, with the Honor being the priciest.
Looking for a fairly cheap, fairly decent phone as a backup phone to my iPhone, for when I travel abroad. Something that gives me decent battery, performance and a camera. NFC would be nice too, for Android Pay.
Options are the 6X, Wileyfox Swift 2, or a Xiaomi.
I'd go for the Wileyfox if it had a better CPU - it has a SD 430. The Xiaomi's are decently priced, the Redmi Note 4 (global edition) is about £150 from honorbuy, SD 625 I think. But it lacks NFC, not vital, just would've been nice. Plus the Xiaomi could come with a vendor ROM, and I need to wait for the global version to be released, as I need LTE band 20.
What are my other options? I'd go for the Honor but the build quality is suspect, at least from YouTube videos.
Built quality of honor phones are better on any day than redmis. Plus the camera is way better. Battery is decent as well...1.5 days om regular use. I can stretch SOT upto 10 max and 7 on an average. EU version has nfc and gyro both.
redmi note 4 will have better custom rom support

Build quality on the honor is as good as a flagship device. Believe it or not i had the galaxy s6 before this and for me this looks and feels better
In 2018 many new budget oriented smartphones were launched but lets see who is the real smartphone king. many big companies have are launching their budget smartphones but only few of them have actually proved themselves as mightiest.
in today's discussion i am going to say which smartphone has really good at it's price point.
I will list down top 3 budget smartphones (i.e upto 15,000 ruppes)
1. REDMI NOTE 5 PRO
The real beast still remains the redmi note 5 pro since it gives true value for money.
the phone feature's latest qualcomm snapdragon 636 octacore processor, 4GB ram and has dual rear facing camera i.e 12MP + 5MP dual camera
Sony primary sensor, 1.25μm pixels and 20MP front facing camera with led flash light and face unlock . Though the rear facing camera look's like iphone x but still result's pretty good. it also has 6 inch FHD+ display with new 18:9 aspect ratio and comes with massive 4000mah battery capacity.
however the smartphone higher GB varient i.e for 6GB ram, the pricing is still high.
2.ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but includes stock Android. The same hardware that makes the Xiaomi phone on the best performers at that price, is also there on the Zenfone Max Pro M1(i.e snapdragon 636 octacore processors) .But the flavour is stock Android 8.1 Oreo. Apart from that you get a sturdy build quality and decent 16-megapixel dual cameras at the back. Easily one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
3.OPPO REALME 1.
this year oppo is launching quite unique and attractive products. This year now oppo has has launched it's new brand realme and it's one of the product realme 1 is one othe best smartphone of 2018
The Realme 1 is a new entrant in the mid-range market and it hopes to topple the best by offering a maxed-out spec sheet which includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and Mediatek helio p60 processor which is even good than qualcomm snapdragon 636 processors. But because of missing fingerprint scanner and dual rear camera setup,i have placed it in 3rd position. But all that firepower surely makes the Realme 1 one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
I am gonna buy a smartphone but I'm confused which one to buy.i cannot able to decide which one to buy redmi 6 or honor 7s. As this both device's are having mediatek process with great spec.so I like to know which one is better. searching on Google didn't help me much.so I like to know which one is better.thanks in advance.
I think you go for Redmi 6. It has better specs and therefore expensive too. I have Honor Play 7 (Chinese version of Honor 7S). It's a beautifully built device with more screen to body ratio and adequate quad core processor and RAM. Redmi 6, of course has octa core stuff and 4 GB of RAM and more internal storage. So, comparing these two isn't a big deal.
Cheers.
For this Price range, I would take a mi A1 or A2 lite.
I guess I'm not the only one around with an old good Mate 20x waiting patiently for this year's new phones revelation firmly determined to upgrade.
And I did some research. I don't want to replace the phone for something worse. I'm not into such a big screen anymore, I prefer something lighter and more ready for one hand manipulation.
There is not much available or coming to the higher class. According to reviews, Galaxy S20 has problems with the main camera, besides Exynos for non-US markets lags significantly behind Qualcomm and it is overpriced. Note is not substantially different. Oppo seems to finish this year's production, its Find X2 pro is currently the best choice but it still has software problems. There is an interesting new kid in the block - Vivo X50 pro plus, but Vivo is so slow regarding system upgrades that is wise to forget it. Otherwise there is another mighty product in the market - Xiaomi Mi 10 pro, its's really ugly according to today's standards and the global software is buggy.
Sure, there are bunch of Huawei phones from Mate 30 pro 5g to P40 pro+, they are still actual and reliable. And a new pair Mate 40 and 40 pro are coming. It's now confirmed and some of their characteristics are known already:
1. Both phones are coming wth curved screens, Mate 40 pro with a waterfall 1080p OLED 90Hz display in dimensions between 6.7 to 6.8 inches, which is just right for my new orientation. The displays of the Chinese manufacturer BOE have been chosen by Huawei for its next high-end smartphone, namely the Mate 40 . The most powerful version of the terminal, the Mate 40 Pro , will have three companies as official suppliers: Samsung Display, LG Display and the aforementioned BOE.
2. They might have 24 and 32MP selfie snappers and Mate 40 phone might have triple settings in the back camera with main 50MP RYBY, 16MP ultra-wide, 3x optical zoom lens respectively, while the Mate 40 Pro version comes with 4 sensors main and wide 50MP RYBY, 5X periscope and a ToF sensor.
3. The battery of phones will have the capacity of 4500-5000 mAh with the support of 66W fast charging technology, and 40W wireless charging.
4. As we already expected both phones come with EMUI 11 on the base of Android 11 (without GMS) and are rumoured to round late September/ Chinese language Nationwide day which falls on October 1, 2020.
5. There are more improvements already speculated as outstanding performance, 5G capabilities, system optimization, ID design, unique features like remote thermometer.

All these are good news but there are bad too. Both models supposed to be equipped with the new 5 millimeter SoC dubbed as Kirin 1000/1020. But we know that the producer of this chip TSMC stopped receiving orders on May 15 and all due Kirins must be taken over till September 15 according to the US trade ban. There are rumors that Huawei didn't assure enough chips and that deliverable quantity could only cover 80% of expected Mate production. Not to mention that Huawei might want to save some of these chips for next year's P50 models. Hence the Kirin supposed to be intended only for Chinese market, global Mate 40 phones might come with Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ SoC (Samsung's dual chips policy). What looks like a bad joke: Dimensity 1000+ is not a 5mm chip, it's not equivalent Kirin 1000/1020, it's even well below Snapdragon 865. Make no mistake: in 2021 5g becomes something that makes a difference between phones.
And there is more. The most important improvements of Android 11 seems to be 5g and electronic id documents support (together with car keys replacement). The end of China - US trade war is nowhere in horizon. On the contrary - the CCP aggressive attitude toward China neighbours is bound to bring even greater restrictions. Huawei is working hard to attract developers to its app store but more and more Chinese apps are blacklisted every day. There is not only GMS outage to consider (it could even be bypassed), the growing limitations of use Huawei products puts the new Huawei phones on the risky side.
The bummer is that Huawei is so highly above the rest in R&D investments that there is hardly any decent competition. We'll see what might bring Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro+ and Nokia 9.3 if they are real.
For me there is no upgrade path from 20X.
Maybe ROG Phone 3 if the cameras are great but other than that idk

This is how I feel as well. If Huawei would of simply allowed launcher changes on my phone (china phone) and bootloader unlock so I could eventually move to lineageos it would be perfect. It's one of the only phones that didn't slow after a short time. I feel like once the security updates run out I'm hosed due to not being able to update it to another room.
