[TRICK][TIT-L01][ROOT/NO ROOT] Add camera shutter sound enable/disable option - Miscellaneous Android Development

Hello.
We have EMUI 3.1 Lite, which does not include some features. One of this feature is enable or disable camera shutter sound, it is not avaliable on our phone. I looked into build.prop and I saw here options, which were disabled, so I tried to enable them. First of them worked, it is enable/disable shutter sound option in camera settings, second not works, it's TimeLapse mode. TimeLapse mode showed in Camera app normally but when stopped recording, app started saving video infinitely,so this not work..
What do you need:
1. Huawei Y6 Pro or Huawei Enjoy 5
2. Unlocked bootloader and custom recovery like Cwm or two
3. Optionally root, which we don't have now (it will be faster)
What to do to enable it:
If you have root:
1. Open build.prop, find column ro.hwcamera.sound.muteable=false
2. Instead false write true, so it will look ro.hwcamera.sound.muteable=true
3. You have enabled this option!
If haven't root, but you have recovery and unlocked Bl:
0. Download Aroma FILE Manager flashable zip
0.1 Download root browser from Google Play
0.2 Open it, and go to system folder and open build.prop
0.3 Copy everything, exit build.prop and go to sdcard folder
0.4 Create new file, named build.prop
0.5 Open this new file. Paste everything.
0.6 Find ro.hwcamera.sound.muteable=false and set it to true
0.7 Save file
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Choose Aroma FILE Manager zip to install
3. It will open as normal file manager
3.1 On my TIT L01 CalrivWM recovery don't work touch, so I must use hardware keys, power and volume + -
4. Find your new saved build prop in sdcard folder, copy and paste it into system folder
4.1 For me touch not work. So I find my build prop, I had it in sdcard folder. I had to go down and click on Select all button (Power button is like OK, volume + is up and volume - Is down). Now I had to deselect all files, only build prop keep selected. When I have only build prop selected, I again went down and selected button Copy. Now I must go upside to go back to / and go to system folder where I pasted it.
5. Exit Aroma FILE Manager and reboot.
6. Complete!
If you want to enable TimeLapse, witch don't work for me, find column ro.hwcamera.timelapse=false and set it to true
Screenshot in attached file. I'm Czech, so Ztumit mean mute.

Worked for me!
Thanks a lot for this information and for the recovery image!
Here is how I did it:
Download this
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jbtsydi9ii...ot DG800.zip
http://www37.zippyshare.com/v/82645339/file.html
I already had drivers for flashing from here (continue reading the thread to find how to install for Windows 8):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421
I found the Doogee Dg800 Official ROM here:
http://www.doogeemobile.com/download
I also used the SPflash tool Doogee provides.
Then:
1) Extract the zip from the first (dropbox link) and put the file named UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99.zip on your SD card.
2) Put the supersupro.apk on the SD card too.
3) Unzip the official Doogee ROM
4) I did not replace the recovery.img in the official ROM folder
5) Open SPFlash and open the scatter file via the FIle menu - for me this was called MT6582_Android_scatter.txt
6) By default all the entries that are loading will be selected (ticked)
7) Following this tutorial (http://www.gizbeat.com/3774/how-to-flash-cwm-without-root-with-sp-flash-tool/) for installing CWM I did:
- Unselect all (remove tick) except for the entry named RECOVERY
- Click on the entry (click on the word RECOVERY)
- Navigate to the recovery image provided in the first download
8) Click Download in SPFlash Tool
9) Turn off your phone
10) Remove the battery for a few seconds
11) Replace the battery but do not turn on the phone
12) Connect the phone via usb cable
13) The bar in SPFlash Tool should go red
14) It should then go yellow and load to the end
15) A green circle should pop up - success.
16) Disconnect you phone and hold Volume Up button and Power button till you go to recovery (hold for a while)
17) You see only three options - select the first one called "recovery". Up volume is for changing options down volume is to select.
18) Now you see the recovery menu - select the second option, using the down volume key, called "install zip from sdcard"
19) Select this with the power button
20) Select the first option in the new menu - it's called "choose zip from sdcard"
21) Scroll down to UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99.zip and select it
22) Scroll down to the option that says "Yes - Install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99.zip
23) You will see it install, when it finishes, scroll to the bottom of the menu and select the "++Go Back++" until you get to the first menu
22) Select "reboot system now"
23) Install supersupro.apk
24) As suggested do the following:
- Open SuperSU and leave so
- Settings:
- Mark activate superuser
- Mark survival mode
- Uncheck re-authentication
- Allow access by default
- Uncheck display notifications (I want notifications so I did not do this)
- Access full content ( I don't think I saw this option)
Done!
Check for successful root using something like Root Checker Basic from app store.
I did this to solve GPS issues that I had with the phone, keep reading for how I solved those problems:
Problem: Applications could not connect to GPS
Solution: Reflash official ROM using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587
with drivers from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421
New problem: GPS is poor and takes long to get a fix.
Solution: Follow this tutorial: http://www.gizbeat.com/2159/gizbeat-101-gps-not-working-on-mtk6589-mtk6577-mtk6575/
which basically comes down to installing and using FasterGPS
Trouble rooting DG800
Hi there
I have spent the last day trying to find a way to root my DG800 and finally came across this post which I see many say it seems to work. However i am a bit confused because for the life of me I can't find the zip-UPDATE-v1.99.zip folder anywhere. This is one of the first steps but I have downloaded and extracted the 3 links given at the top of this post. After extracting the first folder i get 3 more folders 'all mtk usb driver', 'Recovery' and 'SP_FLASH_TOOL_V3.1328.0.183'. As you can see neither of these files are called 'zip-UPDATE-v1.99.zip'. Where am I meant to find this folder that you are talking about? I have searched through every folder and subfolder that came in the downloaded files and I don't find this file you are talking about. I have tried to re download these links from different sources and still can't find that file. Have searched my entire computer and cannot find the file called 'zip-UPDATE-v1.99.zip'. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
Thanks

VIPER4Android + DolbyAtmos For Any Android

Hello friends, i have seen many people struggling with viper4android and dolby and they dont work, so i made a 100% working tutorial for it.
This method works on Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat and Oreo.
WARNING I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BOOTLOOP OR BRICK SO KINDLY PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK BECAUSE I AM NOT A DEVELOPER
Here is the youtube video tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpFNMSCEBK8&t=28s
and below is the written guide.
Download the required files here http://www.mediafire.com/file/cltv25q40t2spkx/viperdolby%20with%20magisk%20fix.zip
1-Extract and copy viper4android folder and ViPERAtmos_5.2_Sony_Beats_Edition.zip both to your internal storage!
2-Go to TWRP recovery and flash viperatmos zip file
3- Reboot to system and go to viper4android app, tap on top right corner for options and tap on uninstall drivers, it will ask super user rights so grant them and wait until OK message appears.
4- Go to TWRP recovery again and flash viperatmos zip again!!!
5- Reboot to system and play some music, check Dolby Atmos! if its working and you see moving visualizer then its fine.
6- Now go to viper4android and from top right corner tap on 3 dots and check driver status ! if it says processing that you have fully working dolby and viper
BUT IF DRIVER STATUS SHOWS ABNORMAL NOT PROCESSING THEN DO THIS!
FIX
There is a file vipersupportfix.sh in that rar your extracted before, copy this file to your internal storage and open root explorer in your phone, copy this file and go to the root of your phone
and paste this file in this path /magisk/.core/post-fs-data
After pasting vipersupportfix.sh in post-fs-data folder change its permissions to 0755 and reboot your phone.
NOW Play some music and check driver status in viper4android, it should say Processing! and Status Normal
if the status is normal but says not processing then use Lark Player for your music.
TIP
I suppose viper4android is working now, tap on the dots and select Expert from ui!
then scroll down until you see convolver and enable it, and below there is a button to select the convolver, find Hip Hop DFX and select it and enjoy killer sound!
You can change and fine tune the treble and bass as to your needs!
Will this work on my mate 10 Pro (emui 8)?

[Guide]Rooting VK World Mix Plus without unlocking the bootloader.

Normally, the Mix Plus' bootloader can be unlocked quite easily:
1. enable OEM unlock in developer settings
2. open adb and type "adb reboot fastboot"
3. type "fastboot oem unlock"
4. press "volume up" to confirm
But what do you do if your volume button is broken? Well, you won't be able to flash any of the TWRP builds floating around for this phone because that requires an unlocked bootloader. However, there is another way:
1. unpack the official firmware (link is straight from vkworld.cc)
2. delete "checksum.ini"
2. move "boot.img" to any android
3. install magisk manager (tested with latest v7.4.0)
4. open magisk manager, press "install" and select "boot.img"
5. open /downloads, rename the new .img to "boot.img", and move it back into the stock firmware
6. plug in the Mix Plus while it's completely shut down
7. open SP Flash Tool (tested with v5.1824)
8. in the "download" tab, select "scatter.txt" under "scatter-loading" and "download only" in the drop-down
9. press the "download" button
Packages to remove:
everything with "prize" in the name. That includes the launcher, have a replacement ready. You should also remove the theme store, the system updater, and voice recorder.
Enabling full rotation:
adding windowsmgr.support_rotation_270=true to build.prop does nothing. Editing ro.sf.hwrotation rotates the display, but not the touch. Use Pranav Pandey's Rotation
hello guys, is there any kind of unofficial lineage OS for this smartphone? I can't find anything.
In every thread I found development stopped after they got TWRP running. It's a shame because VK's skin can't be trusted. Removing the packages I named disables the adware, but there could be spyware I missed.

[Guide] [Root] Samsung Galaxy a7 2018 (a750fn) Root Guide + Working Secure Folder & Samsung Health

How to Root Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 (a750fn) + Working Secure Folder & Samsung Health
Hello, this is a guide on how to root Samsung galaxy A7 2018 (a750fn). I've tried to simplify the guide as much as I can but I still suggest to root your phone only if you know what you are doing! Also if you have any questions or problems, just ask.
Note: Sorry for any grammatical or spelling mistakes. English is not my native language.
!Disclaimer!
- You do this at your own risk! I am NOT responsible for bricked devices, stuck on bootloop etc.!
- Backup your device before proceeding forward!
- This guide WILL trip Knox so your warranty will be void!
- The Knox-dependent applications like Secret Folder and Samsung Health will stop working but in this guide, there are two other miniguides that will explain how to enable them even after tripped Knox. - All of these steps have been tested on my phone - Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) (a750fn) where they worked without problems.
Required Software/Resources:
- Odin (for flashing) - Download
- Samsung USB Drivers - Download
- 7zip (for archives) - Download
- Firmware with the last security patch from 2020 (for me, the patch was from November 2020) - Download
- TWRP Recovery - Download
- Magisk (for root) - Download
- DM-VERITY, FORCED ENCRYPTION, AND DISC QUOTA DISABLER (Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip) - Download
- A MicroSD card
Setup the Software/Resources:
1. Install 7zip
2. Install the Samsung USB Drivers
3. Extract Odin to a folder and put it on the Desktop
4. Extract the firmware to a folder and put it on the Desktop
In the firmware there'll be 5 files:
- BL_FIRMWAREVERSION
- AP_FIRMWAREVERSION
- CP_FIRMWAREVERSION
- CSC_OMC_OXM_FIRMWAREVERSION
- HOME_CSC_OMC_OXM_FIRMWAREVERSION (delete this one)
Delete the files starting with HOME_CSC.
5. Change the Magisk extension from .apk to .zip (Ex. Magisk_ver.apk --> Magisk_ver.zip)
6. Put the Magisk_ver.zip in the MicroSD card
7. Put the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip in the MicroSD card as well
8. Insert the MicroSD card in the phone
Steps to Root:
NOTE: BEFORE PROCEEDING FORWARD, BACKUP YOUR DEVICE!
1. Enable Developer Options (by clicking 7 times the build number of your phone)
2. Open Developer Options and find the option OEM Unlock
3. Enable OEM Unlock (this will factory reset the phone)
- After the factory reset the OEM Unlock option will be enabled and this will allow
flashing custom recoveries and etc. to the phone.
4. After the factory reset, when the phone boots up, turn it off
5. Connect the phone to you PC/Laptop via USB cable
6. While the phone is completely turned off, hold the buttons Volume UP + Volume DOWN until Download mode shows up
7. Press Volume UP again to confirm that you'll be modifying your device
8. On your PC/Laptop open Odin
9. On the left side in Odin there are 3 tabs: Log, Options and Pit
10. Open Options and remove the checkmark on the Auto Reboot option, then go back to Log
11. In the middle of the program there are 5 slots:
- BL (Bootloader)
- AP (Application Processor)
- CP (Modem)
- CSC (Consumer Software Customization)
- USERDATA
12. Click the first slot and navigate to the location where you extracted the firmware
- The start of the names of each firmware file corresponds to the names of the slots in Odin
13. Place each firmware file in the correct Odin slot that corresponds to their names
(Ex. BL_FIRMWAREVERSION is inside the BL slot)
14. With your phone connected, press the Start button to flash the firmware
- After the firmware has been flashed successfully, your phone will be downgraded to the last security patch from 2020 which fixes possible bootloops or other issues when rooting/disabling forced encryption.
- The firmware is successfully flashed when the top left bar is green and above says PASS!
After flashing the firmware DON'T boot in Android yet!
15. After flashing, hold the Volume DOWN + Power button for around 7 seconds, immediately when the screen goes black switch to holding Volume UP + Volume DOWN
- You will enter back in Download mode
16. In Odin, press the Reset button and again uncheck Auto Restart in Options
17. In the AP slot, select the TWRP Recovery (which is in .tar archive)
18. With your phone connected to your PC/Laptop in Download mode, press Start on Odin
- This will flash the custom recovery to the phone
19. You can now disconnect the phone from your PC/Laptop
Again, after flashing the recovery, do NOT boot into Android yet!
20. After flashing the custom recovery, hold the Volume DOWN + Power button for around 7 seconds, immediately when the screen goes black switch to holding Volume UP + Power button
- This will boot the phone into the custom recovery (TWRP in this case)
22. Inside TWRP Recovery, go to Wipe, select Format Data and type 'yes' to confirm
23. After the format, go to Install, select the MicroSD card and find where you've put the Magisk_ver.zip file, select it and install it
- This will root to the device!
24. After you have installed Magisk, go back to Install, select the MicroSD card and find where you've put Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip and install it
- This will disable the forced encryption!
- If there's an error when installing the zip that says 'Failed to mount '/odm' (no such file or directory)", simply ignore it and proceed forward.
25. Go to Reboot, select System and wait around 5-10 minutes till Android fully loads
- After Android has loaded, proceed through the setup process.
26. Go to all apps and find the application called Magisk
- When you open it, it'll ask you to complete the installation of the Magisk app.
- It may also ask to reboot, to fully complete the installation.
27. After the application has been fully installed, your device will be Rooted and with disabled forced encryption!
Fix Secure Folder & Samsung Health
Note: TWRP Backup is recommended in case something fails
Samsung Health:
Required Software:
- A build.prop editor like this
Steps:
1. Install a build.prop editor from the play store
2. Give the build.prop editor root access
3. Open the editor and search for the line - ro.config.tima=1
4. Change the 1 to 0
(Ex. ro.config.tima=1 --> ro.config.tima=0)
5. Save and Reboot the device
6. After the reboot Samsung Health should work as expected
Secure Folder:
Required Software:
- Smali Patcher - Download
Steps:
2. Extract Smali Patcher.zip into a folder
3. Run as administrator
- Wait until it says 'idle..' at the bottom left of the program
4. Uncheck everything checked (like Mock locations, Mock providers, High volume warning etc.)
5. Check Samsung Knox
6. Enable USB Debugging on your phone
7. Connect your phone to your PC/Laptop
8. Press the ADB PATCH button
- A prompt will appear on your phone that asks if you allow your pc to do debugging mode operations on your phone.
9. Press allow on the prompt on your phone
- Wait until Smali Patcher is done.
- After Smali Patcher is done there should be a Magisk module inside it's folder.
10. Copy the Magisk module created by Smali Patcher to your phone
11. Open Magisk and go to Modules (the puzzle piece icon)
12. Tap on the button saying 'Install from storage'
13. Find the location where you've copied the module
14. Install the module
15. Restart your phone
16. If all done correctly, you should be able to set up and use Secure Folder
everything worked, thank you for the nice explanation and your help (A750F)
