Hello! I just ordered this phone and I'm having a little trouble using the 2nd SIM card slot. I would like to use a MicroSD card in SIM slot 1. The SIM card works in slot 1, but when I put it in slot 2, the phone does not read it.
I'm using it on T-Mobile in the United States. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is my first (but won't be my last i'm sure) post on this forum so take it easy on me please!
Recently bought a 2GB SD memory card for the above phone however upon trying to download music onto it it says there is no card present? I assume the card is simply inserted into the slot and it should automatically be recognised by the phone or is there something else that needs to be carried out before it is recognised?
I have formatted the card.
Do you think I have I bought a faulty card.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The sim does not recognize the mobile
Do you require international decoded
When you run the mobile without sim show me this letter :
"A sim card is needed to operate this phone. please turn off your phoneand insert your sim card"

I seem to have a problem whereby my SD card is unreadable after rebooting the handset. Is anyone else seeing this too? I can 'fix' it by removing and reinserting the card then formatting it again.
I should point out that I have a dual sim variant and I have modded the card/2nd sim in this way http://www.noreplied.com/how-to-ins...d-and-microsd-card-in-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge/
I don't know if this is the cause? I can't see why it would be.
edit: I should also point out I am not encrypting the card nor am I using adoptable storage.

I am also facing the same issue.. On each reboot my SD card corrupting.

I ended up buying a new SD card and everything is fine now (even with a sim card super glued to it!).

found it sd card slot is a dual purpose card slot. i recommend you flash oreo dual sim version firmware and unlock your phone,root. modified the system build.prop ,find "persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn=1" change the"1"to"0",restart your phone and dual sim will work with SDcard together

it does not work .... You can not use 2 SIM cards and SD card together ....
Anyway, my question is about using my dual G8142 with 2 SIM cards (3UK Slot1 and VodafoneCZ Slot2) "no SD Card" on Band 20 = 800Mhz network with my 3UK SIM and therefore being able to make VoLTE calls and possibly Wi-Fi calling instead of their ThreeIn Touch app that sucks ...

Does anyone know where I can find the mode that will allow me to have both the sim card slot and sd card active with a sim adapter simultaneously? I'm not ready to go with a custom ROM yet, as I want to play with my stock & rooted Note 20 Ultra N986B/DS Exynos. I had the 2 sim + memory card mod on my S8+ and loved it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
