Does anyone know how to use the Project Infinity Rom aroma installer with safestrap recovery on a ATT Galaxy S5? I have looked several places and have been told there is a work around but cannot find it.
Thanks!

Hi there. I just want to flash the latest version of stock Android (L if possible, KitKat otherwise). The Google Now launcher isn't enough; I want the improved performance and efficiency and I want all the useless Samsung apps off my phone. After I root my phone, where do I get a simple stock ROM? All I can seem to find are custom ROMs with all kinds of mods. I just want stock Android or a very lightly-modified alternative. As far as I can tell right now the closest ROM would be CM.
Thanks.

Can't find an Android L ROM for your device.
But you should ask in the T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron Samsung Galaxy S III > T-Mobile Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
You can check the T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron Samsung Galaxy S III T-Mobile > Galaxy S III Android Development > [Firmware/OTA's] [root66] SGH-T999(All Variants!) Official & Root66 FW & OTA Updates! thread for latest official firmwares.
Thread closed and thank you !
Hi, I recently joined XDA to get information about how to install or modify custom roms.
I firstly tried to search before making this thread, but I couldn't get exact information that I wanted. (Or, my searching was crap..)
I'm very new to Android (was using iPhones), so I would be very appreciated if you can help starting from basic knowledge.
Device Type - Samsung Galaxy Note II
Model Number - SGH-T889V
Android Version - 4.4.2
Baseband Version - T889VVLUDNH2
Kernal Version - 3.0.31-1736364
Build Number - KOT49H.5889VVLUDNH2
Carrier - WIND Mobile
1.
What is the most stable Custom ROM for my device?
I saw Cyanogen, MIUI, OMNI, etc.
However, I couldn't select anything since I didn't know wheter they support my device or not.
2.
Can you help me to find information about installing them? (from #1 question)
3.
I saw that Note 2 can have Note 3 or 4 roms.
I want to know the difference between note 2 and note 4 roms. (like more stable, fast, compatible, etc)
4.
I saw that my device could be locked by WIND.
How can I check if it's locked without getting new SIM card?
If you need more information, I can definitely provide them, so feel free to tell me!
Thanks to whoever would help me.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
There are a couple (stock) options available to you.
With root: > AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 > AT&T Galaxy S5 General > [How-To] Update to G900A_OF3 - 5.0 and KeepRoot
No root (nor rootable): > AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5 > AT&T Galaxy S5 General > [How-To] Update to G900A_OI5 - 5.1 (Unrooted Stock ROM)
Instructions are in the threads, any questions can go in the respective thread as well.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
I bought this for my 3 year old for Christmas and it isn't powerful enough to run abcmouse.com apps. U was wondering if it is possible to install this firmware on a galaxy tab 3. I like that it locks down to a child safe environment with funny mode so I want to convert my tab 3 to a cubby so she can play the apps that I want her to. Is this stock firmware available for download and will it work on tab 3?

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Well, there wouldn't be a Sprout Cubby firmware for anything (I assume) other than the Sprout Cubby, I did find a firmware with a kids mode that should work if you have the 7" model (any other sizes I would try something else).
If you could verify your model number (should be SM-T210, and can be found in Settings > About Tablet), you should be good to go to post in the following thread (after getting an XDA account, if you don't have one already):
> Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 > Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 | Ask any question | Noob friendly
There you can ask for options about Kids Mode.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
