I had used this thread to update to B317. I got cocky and was trying to downgrade to update to 324 and something went completely wrong in the process.
-My device (L04) now won't get past boot. It just stays on the screen saying "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted, your device is booting now...." and doesn't go any further.
-I can get to the "Huawei eRecovery" screen by holding the buttons down to reboot and then holding volume+ button, but I get a "Getting package info failed" error when I try going through that process.
-If I Volume+/volume-/Power (dload?) tries to install update, gets to 5% and then shows "software install failed! Incompatibility with current version" error.
I hope I posted in the right thread, because of my post history I can't post in the dev thread, I'm pretty inexperienced in this and would appreciate any help anyone has to offer. Thanks!
Is your phone recognized by ADB/Fastboot at any point? If so, flash a stock recovery or push the stock firmware package into the dload folder of your SD card.

I can fastboot using volume- and plugging into computer to get into fastboot. I would download hihonor. com/us/support/details/ index. html?DOC_ID=89264 and put onto my sdcard and then vol+/vol-/pwr?

I can't seem to recognize device though adb, only with fastboot. (is that a thing? or am I just doing something wrong?)
I was able to load update.app to dload with my sdcard reader but the update still fails at 5% saying it is incompatible.

YIPPIE!! Man I like a success story!
I have a Nexus 5 that is on Cyanogenmod11, and I tried to autoflash franco kernel to make my battery last longer. I just found out that cm11 is not compatible with franco kernal, and my Nexus 5 is stuck on a screen with the Google logo, and a unlocked little icon at the bottom. I can get into bootloader, and then get into CWM mode. Help, I just want to get back into c11. I don't need my data backed up or anything, I don't want to try flashing granco kernel again or something. HELP. Please use baby terms because I do not understand anything. Walk me through everything in detail please, and explain some terms that I probably won't know.

Go to CWM and connect ur phone to PC, then choose Mount and Storage>Mount USB Storage. Your phone will be mounted on PC. Then copy the CM11 zip and Gapps to phone SD and flash them. Flashing Gapps is not necessary though IMO.

it wont. you need to use adb to move whatever files you want to your phone. it wont show you whats already there. for that, you can use your recovery to see whats zip files are in your storage(in twrp you can also look what other files are there, not sure of cwm recovery.

adb push them to your phone(while you are in recovery), then flash them in your recovery. dont worry about wiping anything, just flash them(dirty, without wiping, so you dont lose any data).

one post says you have adb installed, the other says you have it downloaded.. which one, lol?
if its installed, all you have to do is adb push the files to your phone. when ypu push them, be sire to write the exact name of the files when you push them.
first, make sure adb sees your device when its plugged in via usb, type.. adb devices
2nd, push your files.. adb push cyanogenmodromfilename.zip and then adb push gapps.zip

Hey how did you flashed cm the first time?
hello everybody,
so my phones speakers stopped working and I couldn't fix them so I went to twrp recovery and executed a factory reset. This resulted in the device hanging at the boot screen. I then spent half an hour trying to get the drivers working and when it finally saw the phone and I wanted to sideload the 33R zip it just gave me this long list with possible command (see screenshot attached).
in fastboot it's not seeing the phone for some reason
I have access to the following:
TWRP Recovery
Fastboot
Any idea on how to get my phone working again?

First on your PC try typing adb devices it should return the device serial number in the command prompt.
If it does then in TWRP click advanced, ADB Sideload, then swipe the blue arrow.
Then on your PC command prompt type adb sideload "ROM/File Name.zip" without the quotes.
It should load from there.

Currently trying it on my laptop which has a fresh reinstall, removing the drivers completely will take too long.
Your driver saw it as a google galaxy nexus adb Interface, when I used adb devices it didn't see it.
EDIT: when I go to reboot it says that there is no os installed so yea...
Another Edit: I will try this driver when I get home and report back. OnePlus adb drivers windows
I managed to fix it using the oneplus one toolkit by manudroid
So I tried flashing a ROM via TWRP and now I'm getting stuck on the HTC boot screen with the "This build is for dev purposes only, etc."
I'm able to get into fastboot and the TWRP recovery menu, but I have no way of getting another ROM onto my phone. Is there anyway I can push a new ROM to my phone?
Have you tried putting the ROM .zip file on you external memory card and flashing from there?

They make thumb-drive styled readers that you slip the card into then plug the device into the USB port of your PC. They're pretty inexpensive.
try this
Before you do sideload, extract the boot.img out of the rom package you installed.
Place boot.img into your adb folder.
If you can see you device by "fastboot devices", next do "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
Then boot up normally. Ought to work.

I actually got it working fine.
The bootloader in the article mentioned by the first reply was out of date. Ended up finding v1.42 and tried running it, but gave me some error that I don't remember off the top of my head, however after I ran the "adb sideload xxx.zip" command in cmd, my phone showed up on my computer's file explorer. I just copied a GPe Marshmallow ROM over to the internal storage and installed it via the recovery tool on my phone. Seems to be working fine now, and it's running a lot smoother than it was before.

Hello guys !
First of all, thank you to you all for all the help i've already found on the forum.
I've got an Honor 8, and I tried to flash it for solving battery drain.
After several attempts and almost get there, now the phone is totally bricked.
Here some useful information:
- Bootloader in unlocked
- When in fastboot mode, Fastboot recognize my device but not ADB. I tried installing several drivers but nothing
- Flashing different recovery from fastboot don't work. I mean, it works but the device don't enter in recovery mode ( stuck in Your device is booting now....)
When try to install an update.app from stock recovery, i get error, both unable to find the package and unable to verify the package content.
When first I wasable to get in TWRP, when trying flashing a rom, it alwayg gaves me error like UNABLE TO MOUNT /DATA or /CACHE.
I think I really messed up with partitions and now everything seems doesn't be able to get into the phone.
I started yesterday, still here....
I guess dozens of users encountered same problems, I've tried everythinh from the forum but nothing worked....
Someone has any idea ? Cause my girlfriend will soon kill me.....
Yeah, even with volume up and power. It stuck on boot.
I've tried the most common fix, tried several twrp and rom. Same for update from SD, tried everything, différents rom, rollback....
Nothing...

It starts in automatic update mode. When trying to connect to WI-FI and download, an error message appear, seems unable to found the update.
When trying to update from SD, several update.app has failed.
When trying to clean all data from Emui recovery mode, the first 2 attempt stops at 7%, the third stops at 99%. Every time i have tried...
I really think is a partition issues, something that don' let the firmware recognize the phone and get the update

Yeah the rollback package revives any brick. I've been through it all once and this will fix any mess so find a way to flash it.
By the way to access recovery you need to have your phone not plugged to USB (that's the bit i was missing for a long time) With your phone completely off (you can turn it off from the eRecovery (vol+ vol- power) ) hold vol+ & power and when the phone vibrates let go off the power and just hold vol+
http://www.hihonor.com/uk/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=92131 and then flash B131 fw
http://www.hihonor.com/uk/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=92101
if you can't get into recovery use huawei firmware extractor and get a recovery.img from one of those firmware packages and flash it via fastboot mode.

and yes important to put extracted update.app into dload folder on SD and unplug your device while doing this
if not flash stock recovery, system and so one with huawei extractor from your current running rom
you can enter fastboot mode, turn off your device and hold volume down + power, try this with plugged or unplugged device, but must be turned off..if this helps enter fastbootmode, then flash the extracted images

Update process:
1. Unzip [extract] the update.zip to the SD card into the dload folder (if folder is not present, create it yourself)
2. In the phone app, enter the combination *#*#2846579#*#*, then select "Software Upgrade" and

3. Delete the data in the dload folder
4. Repeat point 1-3 with the update_data_full_hw_eu.zip
5. WipeCache (personal recommendation)
