• Enable Developer Options
• Then enable "USB Debugging"
• Then enable "OEM Unlock" inside Developer Options
• Now download "ADB & Fastboot" shell, get you phone in bootloader mode and type fastboot oem unlock
Remember to make a backup.
THESE STEPS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA

OEM Unlock is greyed out (in the enabled position) in my version. Anyone else have same problem?
I get the error...
FAILED (remote: cannot flash this partition in unlocked state)

Let me know also as I can not get my H830 unlocked and I am on 20a

Please help
I tried re-locking the boot loader also but this has caused the Nougat verification checks on boot to tell me that my device is now corrupt and 'will not boot'. Im unable to get the device to a state where I can use ADB to unlock again?
All I can do is get it to factory reset mode (on LG G5) which doesn't allow me to wipe it or do anything either.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

You can always go into download mode (hold volume up and plug the phone into a computer's USB 2.0 port) and then use LGUP (with uppercut.exe) to KDZ to stock 20A and then start over. You have to have 20A to use the recowvery method to root anyway. Nothing can be done on 20C anyway. You can get back to 20C if you want to later by flashing it through TWRP.

It's a bug maybe . Better rollback to MM.
Where can I get MM rollback files for BLL-L21.. Please
there's no rollback files for bll-l21 yet
Hi guys!
Any news about BLL-L21 rollback files? @edwardola . @SmartDrevil
Probably when it is hidden it means that the bootloader is already unlocked ,when starting the phone do you have message saying that this phone is not trusted or something like that

SO ITS ALREADY UNLOCKED ,why are you needing activate OEM unlock since its activated by default in case you have unlocked your bootloader
The problem is that I can't flash recovery (twrp 3.1.0) on the fastboot method whithaout enabling OEM and usb debogage options. When I try, this message appears: "failed: remote command not allowed"

You are on nougat or marshmallow?
If marshmallow, then just re flash firmware to relock bootloader.
If nougat then you need paid method, dc-unlocker to relock bootloader
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-TL10 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I am on Nougat and I have not a dc-unlocker count . So I should wait for the final Nougat version to be able to re-lock my bootloader?

[Help!] FRD-L04 Bootloader locked, FRP Locked, No Recovery, SOT?

so i unlocked, rooted and installed LOS on one of my classmates honor 8 a few months ago. for whatever reason he decided he wanted to go back to stock and asked me help. due to work and school i was unable to help so he came on to xda to find help.
he ended up using a guide and............... well, its all f*cked!! i dont know how but his phone is not only bootloader locked but also FRP locked.
to make things worse, the phone wont boot and it has no recovery. i have tried the vol+ and power, vol+- and power but non work. i am able to get into fastboot. i have thought of maybe sending the phone in to maybe huawei us but the phone came from ebay.
the phone was a damaged ebay win that was repaired by me. it worked great but i dont know if its possible to send to huawei for repair. anyway, i would appreciate any and all help.
You might need to reset with the /sdcard/ dload method. Check out the other forums for instructions.

It's highly unlikely that you're SOL, if you can get into the bootloader then you can flash the stock recovery. If you can flash the stock recovery, you can flash a rollback package to completely restore everything to stock.
So long as you have a working fastboot, you're fine.

ah, the thing is..... both the bootloader and FRP are locked. as i mentioned, he wanted to return to stock and followed a guide here. he doesnt remember what exactly he did as it was almost a month ago but it ended relocking the bootloader and FRP. i really feel horrible for not helping him which is why im desperate to get this working. i might just end up giving him mine.

so i tried and nothing, i get to the blue splash screen and the phone just reboots. i keep trying to unlock the bootloader but i get the same error as i posted above. shouldnt i be able to unlock the bootloader? im thinking that i have some kind of driver problem.
my pc is pretty much dead so im using my laptop and im not sure i have it set up correctly. anyway, i know oem unlock is required to unlock bootloader but is there anyway i can unlock straight from fastboot?
Try a 'fastboot oem relock' with the unlock code, then after the reboot, try unlocking again.

Honor 8 FRD-L09 Can't flash TWRP FAILED (remote not allowed)

Hi, I'm trying to root my Honor 8 device and install TWRP. However when I try to flash the TWRP file in ADB, I get this error message:

It's my first time rooting a device manually, so i dont know much. If you are able to, please refer to things in an easy manner.
Thanks in advance.

Is Your Bootloader Unlocked???
And Also This TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563/page1
Can Only Work For The Honor 8 Android 7
On TWRP Website, The TWRP There Only Works For The Honor In Android 6.
Also When Flashing a recovery Do "fastboot flash recovery [Filename]"

Yes i have unlocked the bootloader. I'm pretty sure i've already tried that version of TWRP, but i will try again tomorrow.
I always flash recovery using "fastboot flash recovery (file name)" so that's not the problem.

I had same problem. I successfully unlocked bootloader but after that I accidentally restored default settings in developer settings and oem unlock was ticked off and greyd out. Then I noticed the same FRP lock.
I had to relock and unlock the bootloader. Only after that I was able to flash twrp on my phone.
To relock you type "fastboot oem relock (unlock code)"
After that you can turn on "oem unlock" and "usb debugging"
And yes, It will wipe your data when relocking and again after unlocking so it takes some time. Hope this helps :fingers-crossed:

Black Shark CHINA (SKR-A0) - Unlock Bootloader

Hi everybody!
After the precious advice of user ndt192, I managed to unlock my SKR-A0 which, until this day, seemed un-unlockable.
THIS PROCEDURE WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE MEMORY SO REMEMBER TO BACKUP EVERYTHING
TL;DR
In developer options, OEM Unlocking must be ticked (if present), then I just issued a fastboot oem unlock while in fastboot mode.
I'm on the latest OTA (29-12-18, v. G66X1812291CN00MPX).
Full Tutorial
Enable developer options by tapping 7+ times on Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number
Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking (if present) in Developer Options (Settings -> Other Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Developer Options)
Open a terminal and issue the command adb devices
On the phone, allow the access from your computer on the dialog that will be shown
In terminal adb reboot bootloader
Wait for the phone to reboot in bootloader mode
STOP AND THINK - DID YOU BACKUP EVERYTHING?
Issue the command fastboot oem unlock and wait for the OKAY in the terminal window
Reboot your phone with fastboot reboot
Now, you will be informed that because of the unlocking your phone memory is "corrupted" (aka not decryptable anymore) so the phone needs to be wiped. Agree and wait.
Hopefully, your bootloader will be unlocked now. You can check that by returning to fastboot mode and checking that the Status is Unlocked.
If you want TWRP/root, check out this thread.
This procedure didn't seem to work until a few months ago so I don't know exactly if this procedure works only on newest Joy UI versions or not. Try it out (at your own risk).
IMPORTANT - if you can't unlock with these steps, please post here with the version of Joy UI installed and the message shown after the fastboot oem unlock command

Try flashing the stock images via fastboot
You won't need an unlocked bootloader for this

whatever command i use it says OEM unlock is not allowed.
Just throwing out ideas that you may have already tried. If I understand right you cannot get into recovery which eliminates trying to sideload the stock image. Your bootloader is locked and it will not let you unlock so booting into TWRP is out of the question. Are you just wanting your phone operational again? Have you tried wiping/factory resetting with fastboot commands? i.e. fastboot erase userdata or fastboot format userdata.

I would contact Google customer support. Even though my phone was out of warranty and I was not the original buyer (bought in eBay), they were willing to make a one-time exception for an RMA. I didn't use it because my phone is rooted and I was afraid of being charged for any repairs. As long as your phone is stock and unrooted, you have a chance. Just say that you think you have a hardware failure and while you understand that they are in no obligation to help, you would appreciate anything they can do.
