Just for knowledge HTC A9 from BOOST MOBILE have the same Firmware(ROM) as Sprint or a carrier-specific version?

I'm having issues activating the HTC One A9 boost version. Is it possible they (BOOST) won't activate the phone because I have unlocked and rooted it first before going through the activation process on their site? I also can't udpate the PRL through Wi-Fi. Every time I try to update profile it says "The profile update could not be completed. Please try again later" "If problem persists, you may need to contact Customer Service". I'm trying to avoid contacting them because I don't want them to know my device is unlocked and rooted. I've read reviews on Amazon and someone said they had issues activationg their phone because Boost said they were running an old version of the android security that was released back in May of 2016, and Boost did not ofter them help to get around it.
Can anyone here help me?

I have got an Sim Unlocked AT&T Samsung Focus ver. 1.3 updated to Mango 7720.
I would like to debrand the device to get open market updates from now on and if possible get some of the options like SMS Delivery Notification and Enabling or Disabling 3G (and not completely DATA) on my phone.
Please guide me as to how I can do this.

I recently purchased a HTC M8 from ebay thinking it would work perfectly with any GSM network . My phone is currently in android Kitkat and i want to update it to lollipop. I tried to update the firmware from phone's system update but failed as it is asking to try with CDMA network.
Can anyone suggest how can i update it to lollipop still staying in GSM network please?

Let me tell you, simply put, DON'T! if you have followed the instructions on how to get 4g, or if you are out of the country (i.e. US) you will lose 4g, you will also lose the ability to s-off and root. My M8 was awesome before I did that... now even my girlfriend (who is not even remotely familiar with cell phones and has an iphone of all devices) is making fun of me.... Before you do it, ask yourself if you want to be that guy?
Hey so I have a HTC one m8 that I acquired from a friend. It was a Verizon phone but I have heard many times that it is completely possible to get it to function on tmobile (or ting that we will want to go to eventually). This phone is running the official OS. Nothing rooted our bootloaded yet. What do I need to do?

Originally mobile was purchased from - Verizon . Recently i moved to T-Mobile service
Data pack is already available in my T-mobile plan.
I am trying to get the mobile hot spot working on htc one m8 , but when i am turning on the mobile it is showing "An unknown error occured, please try again later". I tried to contact htc team they said to update the mobile firmware . however my mobile is already have the firmware when i updated with verizon.
I got to know that if i will root my phone, the mobile hotsopt will work(already working on one of my friends mobile) . I have few question regarding that.
How can i do that ?
Is there some tool i have to purchase to get it done easily ?
What OS version should i use ?
Any side effect i might not be aware of after doing the root ?

Got the exact same problem. Replying with the hope that someone will notice. If you have found a solution please share.
I just saw an LG G4 (VS986) on ebay. I live in India. The carrier is verizon, the VS986 is an US model. It is written that hotspot won't work. Also there is mentioned that verizon logo will come up during booting. My queries are:
1) Why hotspot won't work? Will I be unable to access WiFi also?
2) Why will verizon logo come up during booting? Is it common or the phone is rooted?
3) Will I also face problems regarding upgrading the phone to marshmallow?
That's all... I know these are too many questions but please help....
