I can suggest trying: link1 and link2 to transform 701L->702L and install B202 firmware, then B203.
How to Root (Thanks bark1234) :
- Get SuperSu 2.67 from here : http://download.chainfire.eu/897/Sup...0121175247.zip
- Install twrp recovery. For process search this forum.
- Before installing supersu zip, in twrp go to Advanced and enter Terminal Command and type in "echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu"
- This will force SuperSU to use systemless root which will patch the bootloader instead of the system and work root properly.( Thanks to ajsmsg78 for pointing out)

Update fil in post #1 is supposed to be used with dload official upate method (super_sonic will confirm I guess).
If you have flashed TWRP recovery to device's recovery2, you shuld be able to still use dload official method, as it needs stock recovery (in recovery1).
if not, go back to stock recovery in recovery1

Here I found orginal from Huawei server. It is very slow download.
We don't know which version must be installed before that update.
I restore a B202 stock and local update was not avaliable.
3 finger reboot started dload but hanged on 5 %
Update.zip fails immediatly.
@super_sonic Which version did you have before you were able to update?
I understand it's possible to run the downgrade script but I want to know on which version you were before
Maybe this is for B003 or B005 as base.
---------- Post added at 10:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:30 PM ----------
The files are not identically.
I finisished the download from Huawei.
The "demo" file from Huawei has the structure like the the content of dload folder we know from B202 update.
So the Huawei is for Android 5 devices to update to B203
The russian files are of unknown source.

Since November till now no one with 702L reported anything about the OTA 203B!!

note that the version you've found:
http://consumer.huawei.com/tw/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=92804&key4=GEM-702LC158B203
has a different CUST than the russian file (CUSTC158 vs CUSTC129), so a different region deployement if I got it well. Also the "demo" word in the huawei file could be the reason why this B203 was not spread officially yet.

As far as I know, super_sonic has a 701L device, sarted with a 701L B003 ROM, flashed the downgrade update.app form Huawei Taïwan to turn a 702L 6.0 to 702L 5.0 (so then turn his device to a 702L, on OS point of vue), and then flashed the 702L B202. Finally upgrade to B202 (he'll tell us which file he did use)

In january, I'll give a try with exactly the same steps as super_sonic :
As far as I know, super_sonic has a 701L device, started with a 701L B003 ROM, flashed the downgrade update.app from Huawei Taiwan to turn a 702L 6.0 to 702L 5.0 (so then turn his device to a 702L, on OS point of vue), and then flashed the 702L B202. Finally upgrade to B202 (using the update.zip file from post #1)
I let you now.
----
the build number suggest that the upadte.zip is closer to the russian complete rom file (C209B203), than to the Taiwan "demo" version. @audioralf , maybe the russian file is a more release version than the "demo" one.
The source where I get the update.zip:
http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php
@h.jubail : B203 OTA has been releasead in some asian regions:

Im positive that super_sonic's steps were:
super_sonic has a 701L device, started with a 701L B003 ROM, flashed the downgrade update.app from Huawei Taiwan to turn a 702L 6.0 to 702L 5.0 (so then turn his device to a 702L, on OS point-of-vue), and then flashed the 702L B202. Finally upgrade to B202 (using the update.zip file from post #1)

Exactly, but last step is flash full B203 firmware, not update.zip...
Sent from my GEM-702L using XDA-Developers mobile app

In a previous version there was an option to do a local update which would start the install from the dload folder. That is gone in my current Android 6.0/EMUI 4. Does anyone know what happened to this option?

ha ok.
And according to your build number, you use the complete russian file in post #1, and not the taiwan one. Correct me if I am wrong!
Thanks for testing that anyway!!

* 5/30/2016: Though the OTA update has been released, the official ROM is not yet available on the Huawei site. I will post a link once available.
Please share your experiences with the new ROM in comparison to the Android 5.1 B112 EMUI 3.1 version, in terms of battery life, added/removed features, speed performance, etc.

I wonder, because 211 had still bugs. For example multiscreen/miracast did not work.
Audio is still on non standard, and not on 6.0 level with USB audio support and more than factor 10 better latency.
Are you registered betatester? If yes, this might be the version we already have.

What about 701L ?
Sent from my GEM-701L using XDA-Developers mobile app
He was recognizing a Ota. If you don't get a message of newer firmware on update firmware menu, than there is nothing. I have never heard of a beta test for 5.11 nor 6.0 for the 701.
Simply convert it and you will get all and loose nothing maybe except for the guaranty of your vendor. But this might has been already lost when you had unlocked the bootloader.

I noticed something strange.
When I was on B211 of gem703l, the miracast didn't work. I use Chromecast by the way.
But now I am back on B201 of gem-702l, the miracast actually works. I am watching a movie through miracast to Chromecast now.
I don't know why.
Yesterday i go back to original B112,no root and Trwp.No Ota is coming! Are you Beta Tester?

Nope. I am not a beta tester. You might want to retry periodically, and make sure you have the original stock recovery installed.
You can also clear your cache and/or dalvik cache, or, cache of Updater application.
Maybe it's because of your region. @E-MAN where are you located?

Thanks. Can you advise what "serious" bug the poster on the German forum is referring to?
I'll put a "known bugs" section in the OP.
Also, if I wait for B212, will I need to post B211 before installing that?
WEIRD: I have 2 of the 703L Bought same day, using them in the same house, only one is showing the OTA Update.
Version B209/ B211 is already discussed in AJ's thread. Known bugs already posted there.
I refferred to the crash on each boot which flashes shortly. I think this is the multi window or miracast, which does not work and crashes if you call the setting.
I have just mentioned that in the German thread.
I suppose this has to do something with the effect on 701/702 phones.
Your thread makes sense for those users, who have a origin 703. Maybe you don't have this problems.

Is there a way to get the seperate DPI Modus for each App back?
Not in EMUI, but in the module 'App Settings'. For this install the
xposed Installer,
then framework xposed-v84-sdk23-arm64.zip
Then download module and Seek for App settings 1.13 (maybe direc Download from developer necessary for neweset Version)
Check the module and Reboot and wait about 20 minutes for the system building the odex files for dalvic.
Then search your app within app settings, which you want to configure.
Please report back if you are successful.
I was successful with framework 80 on b209

Did you change build.prop? Enable/Disable Resource Hooks?
Allread tried this on B209 didn't work for me.
you are right. Indeed there must be a patch in build.prop.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765
This patch allows not to set the checkbox for disabling api resource.
On AJ's Roms this is already integrated. So I had not to worry about.

I had this problem last night with L09. Here is what I did:
Made sure the directory structure was correct on sdcard for the dload folder.
Relocked bootloader
Performed a factory reset
Powered off phone and disconnected USB cable
Held both up and down volume and turned phone on
Phone updated
If the phone gets stuck on 5% during the update then I've performed an install on the default recovery and repeated the steps above from number 3.

B202 OTA for gem-702L(TW) rolling out

There's a new OTA update rolling out for Gem-702L (TW), the offiicial B202.
I haven't got it yet.
According to some info in a Taiwanese forum, Huawei plans to roll out B202 to all Gem-702L(TW) users within 2 weeks. There won't be any download link before that, not sure if there will be afterward.
Does anyone with 702L TW ROM installed getting the OTA?
It will be appreciated if someone can extract that for everyone else to update, and even for a dev to make a custom rom for it
Huawei Taiwan has officially released the B202 firmware for gem-702L
link page:

the direct download link:

Not sure what's been updated. I am still downloading.

That depends on where you are coming from.
If you are coming from B005 of Android 5.0, yes, it will format the whole system and reset the phone.
if you are already in Android 6.0(B201), press *#*#2846579#*#* in your phone and get into engineering mode, choose "software update"; then it wont wipe your phone.
**Edited**
This method still clears out your phone. Remember to back up your data first.
I know this has been asked before but I can't find a straight answer to it.. if someone could help I'd be grateful!
I have 702L with B006. android 5.01.
Can I upgrade to B202 like this:
-Do a dload update straight to B202 stock
-unlock bootloader
-install TWRP 6.0
-install custom rom via fastboot
or do I need to install 703L 5.1 stock rom before updating to B202?
Thanks!
No update to 703.
You have the 702 and the Update is for 702.
Install Stock Recovery and flash via Download Method.
So I have to install stock recovery? My device isn't rooted and the bootloader is still locked.

Really? sorry for that. I read it in other forum and I thought people updating from engineering mode still kept everything. you taught me a new thing.
Does anyone have stock recovery for B006 they can share?
Yes,download the Firmware from here
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5I_q70mNuR4eGk5S0ZpUDlfODg&export=download
and copy the UPDATE.APP in Micro SD in the Folder “dload“
Go to Update Program in Settings and Local Update, and wait to finish the Update.

But from both of that methods says, "Product version check faild" and shutdown the system
What to do? Please give a guide to me, That "update.app" file also in "dload" folder in SD card

Did you try the same process with b530 ?
If no try with that.
If B190 is KitKat, you could try to install lollipop first and then marshmallow.
Thankyou for your valuable reply
Yeah it is kitkat, but why first lollipop and then marshmallows?
And also that file i have downloaded, there is another file uploaded few months ago, both of them are marshmallows
There isn't B530
These are the all provided firmwares
B160 (kitkat) 2015.12.08
B340 (not mentioned) 2015.12.08
B510 (marshmallows) 2016.06.17

Flashing lollipop first fixed same problem for other user, though I think he had a different region.
B340 is most likely lollipop.

Search for PCT-LGRP2-OVS, you can also install the Firmware Finder App from Playstore so you can do ""Check Avability" this makes sure the firmware is approved for your imei. You can also flash non approved versions but some google services might not work.

Well. I dont get it. I have read 5 times the proxy wiki ''instructions'' went true everything dosens of times. But when i open up hi suite and try to recover it sayes that my device is not supported. Can you please write normal step-by step instructions here? the wiki instuctions is chaotic and misleading leaving me with more questions than answers(or am i the only one to think like that)
What do i do:
1. open up proxy app, press http component, choose original, it sayes patching succesfull. Then in "C:\Users\
i have added the lines
2. i find package url paste into the proxy app lines, select it. Then i press 'setup' it checks everythins and sayes that is ok and can proceed to installation.
3. boot phone in recovery open hi suite-recover but it sayes that phone is not supported
in hisuite setting i have set mannual given proxy

No there more models (Depening on region) but they start for example with PCT-AL10I, so he needs to check the logs to see which one he needs to add to HiSuiteConfig.xml.
Even if you get approved message safetynet can still fail it depends on CTS Match, CTS stands for "Compatibility Test Suite." This is the process Google uses to verify that a device and its firmware meet certification standards.
Firmware 218, was approved for install but still failed CTS Profile, while 228 is approved and also passes CTS Profile, eg Google Safetynet.
Hi all, I have an Honor View 20 stuck to firmware 9.0.1.137D(C652E4R1P6)
I've tride this method and managed to make it work in theory, but still can't find the right firmware version, every time I try one authorized by Firmware Finder, I get this answer from HiSuite Proxy "Your phone seem to be soft-rebranded and will fail authentication" and propose an alternative auth method which fails.
Any help pls?
