Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if it would be possible to flash an EE (EVR CSC) onto my rooted BTU 6.0.1 firmware? The BTU 6.0.1 firmware doesn't support EE VoLTE. I don't want to be on EVR firmware because it messes up my dual sim model (G930FD)
VoLTE became active on my EE G920F (BTU) earlier today. I'd been asking the same question as you for a few days. Was messing in the settings, disabled and reenabled wifi calling and it just happened. Phone rebooted itself and VoLTE was active. Tested with a few 4G calls to confirm.
None of the ims files were changed but there is a new APN named 'ims' in the settings. It isn't selected active but it is there - it wasn't before.
Yes, the phone was bought.from an EE shop and still carries the original IMEI. So I believe as long as your phone was bought from an EE outlet you will definitely be able to use VoLTE sometime soon.
Currently running the CarHDRom V.27

On my G930f on BTU WiFi calling has gone for Vodafone UK. Yet the odd thing is if I put an EE SIM in it appears. Why would this be and is there a workaround?
Same for me. Would be really good if there is a workaround. Specially since i am currently in Europe.

For me it was working.
I flashed the Android 7 ROM via ODIN but used the CSC from my country and provider (use the CSC_XX instead of HOME_CSC_XX to wipe the device and set the CSC back), instead of the one containted in the rom.
You can try to flash the CSC from a MM Vodafone UK Rom. Make sure to pick the CSC_VOD_version instead of HOME_CSC_VOD as only the first one will wipe the device and set the CSC back to the default one from that file: Vodafone UK.
Try to extract the CSC from here:

Hi,
Has anyone been able to access Three and EE VoLTE on ether XEU or BTU firmwares? I am thinking of getting the S8+ Dual SIM but don't really want to have to flash a 3 branded firmware on a dual SIM model if I can help it.
Thanks.
Can't answer for dual SIM variant, but you can do it in a number of ways, you flash the three firmware and CSC, or you flash the EE firmware and CSC. Both will mean you get OTAs. I however used EE CSC and xeu rest of the firmware. I get the best of both worlds but have to manually update using a hybrid of the EE CSC and xeu rest.
I have flashed BTU firmware before with Three CSC but yes it causes a mismatch and OTA updates no longer work ;-(
Dear friends
i has s7 g930t unlocked , and indian sim card was working on it.
then, I flashed unlocked S7 T mobile G930T to G930U firmware (downloaded from updato).
Then i inserted my Indian sim card , but it didn't get network.it just keeps on searching network.
Then i again downloaded G930T Firmware , and flashed again back to tmobile. But still i am unable to get network.it just keeps on searching network. when i click on search network, ,it just fails
i flashed both "HOME CSC" and "CSC" that i downloaded from updato fro 930T Tmobile , but still no network.
any help on this?
how can i get back to normal network?
this whole thing happened as i thought 930U may support indian VOLTE
Im in US , i have s7 G930T (Tmobile), carrier unlocked. At some point i needed Polish cell number so i came up with idea to have Orange sim card (its Polish cell carrier) shipped to me and install on my cell so i can make calls to Poland over wifi calling. When sim came and was inserted into my s7 it displays ATT carrier and wifi calling is no longer there, but i kind of expected it , tmobile kind of sucks when you try to use phones from different carriers on their network or vice versa. So using odin i flushed it with xaa rom (it should be stock us rom), then with att rom, both times wifi calling was not there just like with tmobile rom. Then i tried to flash it with Polish stock s7 rom and then with Orange s7 rom, both unsuccessful flashes (partition fail).
Does anyone have some idea what i should try next ?
PS s7 is my old phone , currently have galaxy s10e (G970U version), funny thing is when i put new Orange sim into S10e everything works fine, wifi calling showed up without a problem.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If I recall correctly VoLTE and VoWifi config is part of the CSC device firmware on the S7, which means you'd need to flash the polish firmware.
But the US model is a different SoC (Snapdragon instead of Exynos) which is why the flashing fails as it's not the right firmware for the hardware. I'm not sure there's any way around it.

Beanvee7, thank you for response, i kind of figure that much, I just had some hope there is a way around it somehow, especially since with my s10e i have same scenario ( us tmobile phone and Polish sim) and everything is working fine. Thank you again.
Looks like the S10 still has the CSC firmware, so I can only guess it no longer relies on carrier config in the CSC for VoLTE and VoWifi. But it's always been how the S7 has worked and commonly asked.
Hello, which firmware has Samsung Smart call enabled. I have N986U1 and it is disabled. I don't want to try every firmware to know does it work or not? Please USA only.

U1 (XAA) device has it. This is my 986U ATT converted to a U1 XAA device.
So looks like it doesn't work with non-USA or different SIM card.

Unfortunately it's the CSC code that determines what features are available.
I did a CSC change on mine back when dialer code/IMEI still worked.
My phone was a stock 986U ATT device. I changed CSC to XAA and loaded U1 firmware.
My phone didn't retain the XAA CSC, after a 3rd reboot, but all the stock features remained.
Call and text on other devices works (normally blocked by AT&T), and Smart Call works as well.
Still can't get eSIM working, but that is only available for T-Mobile CSC.

It's changed... All AT&T U devices will retain ATT in the 3rd set (???/???/ATT) as that is the original sales code for the device.
Having XAA/XAA/ATT with U1 firmware should let you have access to some XAA features.
