Hello,
It isn't possible. You need a kernel, device tree, vendor for building CyanogenMod.

Hello,
Well you need to bring them up from scratch.
You need to extract blobs from the ROM, update the kernel to make it buildable and booting with CM, device tree from scratch.

This will depend on the device and the ROM you want to build, how the sources are stored, etc....
The best place to start is in your device specific forum, as there may be a guide already available for your device.
Hello,
I recently downloaded the official AOSP source code into my machine and I want to compile it for my GT-I9300,
but before that where do I get the device blobs and properitary drivers from? Can I use CM's device tree? Are there any other device trees?
And in an addition to that how do I get the Kernel to work properly? Do I need to use the CM kernel?
A hint / tip or a link to a guide would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I can suggest you to go to xda university
I'm sure that you will find all you need for cooking your own build
Good luck
how to build a cyanogenmod from source for unsupported devices. All the custom rom's building instruction say that "Your device should already be running the branch of CyanogenMod you wish to build your own version of for the extract-files.sh script to function properly. If you are savvy enough to pull the files yourself off the device by examining the script, you may do that as well without flashing CyanogenMod first."
But where is the first proprietary blobs came from??
How can we get the proprietary blobs for other devices for the first time build?
I dnt understand anything...I'm trying to build a fresh cm12.1 rom for my device galaxy j5..plz guide me in ryt way if am wrong

Hello,
I have decided to try building Android from source for one of my phones using this guide:
https://source.android.com/source/requirements.html
I am at the step where i need to add the proprietary binaries for my phone,
but i´m unable to find them. I have looked everywhere. The phone in question is a Lenovo K30-T.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the binaries?

Thanks for the answer, but i can't find lenovo vendor files, should i use Quallcom's instead?
In the Quallcom directory there are files for the SOC of the phone, but will they also work with things like the digitizer or buttons?

Hello,
No qcom binaries are different thing altogether.
If you have CM for your device, ask the developer to show you the vendor he is using.
Or you can generate blobs from stock firmware.

So I have decided I want to make my own rom. Where are the binaries to use for the ROM? Some randomer I saw had been trying to make a lineage os that works with this phone and he put the firmware in a GitHub file I think. I would like to know where and what binaries are needed.
@sd_shadow it would be great if you could help me.
