A simple Google search for:
"How to root (your model number and firmware)"
Should give you what you're looking for.

That's because there is absolutely no way to root OC4 because it has a locked bootloader that can't be unlocked. There is no way to get around the locked bootloader and no one is probably ever gonna figure out a hack to unlock the bootloader so you can give up on trying to root the device or flash custom recovery.
I can certainly tell you that it's pointless for you to ask or make more posts here or anywhere else because you are chasing your tail. Developers have been trying to figure out how to unlock or bypass the Samsung locked bootloaders for years and no one has even gotten close. Don't waste your time continuing ask.

In the past i have rooted other phones without wiping the phone, however, from looking at the root methods for the Verizon GS3 It looks as though you have to flash a rom in the process of rooting it. Is it possible to root the Verizon GS3 without wiping data?

So If i flash the stock rooted rom using this method once the phone turns back on i will not notice anything has changed other than it now having root?

Yep, that's how it was for me. I was worried I would lose my data too, but I was pleasently surprised.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Since your not changing roms to a custom one but instead going stock to stock modded, you can dirty flash and you will be fine.
A dirty flash you don't loose your data.
Using the "Root66" method in the Verizon Development forum does not require a wiping of user/application data.
Not the first screen shot of Verizon saying they will unlock the bootloader, and this is one of a few places I can post.

Like the few others I''ve seen this rep may not know what they are talking about, but I was fishing for an answer, already got a nexus galaxy rocking 4.1.1, and an S3 which is currently stock till the RIL is completely cracked.

If my bootloader is and unlocked andI return my HOX, will At&t still fix it? I know its definitely a hardware problem (main mic doesn't work) so whats your experience with At&t and this kind of issue?
Just relock it , since it takes all of a couple min its a worthwhile step to covering your tracks

Will they generally care if it says RELOCKED instead of LOCKED though?
When you unlocked your bootloader, you were very clearly warned that you were voiding your warranty. If they see it has been relocked, then yes they very well could turn you away or offer to have the phone repaired at your expense. Your best bet, brick it good so the bootloader is not accessible. ^^^^^^not a reccomendation, just stating options
My EVO Ways
Let us know what happens. I'm curious to see if they even check.

First if this is posted in the wrong place, I apologize.
I bought an iDROID iKON Z5. It's a good phone for the price. I just can't seem to root it. If anyone could help it would be awesome. I'm including a picture of the information of the phone.
Thanks in advance.

I wonder if I could contact a Dev on here or Android Central and offer to pay them to work on getting root for my phone? Like I wouldn't mind paying someone to find an exploit so I could get this rooted. Let's see, who can I ask?....

Hey thanks again finally had time to visit the link you sent me. Finally rooted and recovery .....
Does your camera autofocus at all? I cant take any pictures of text on like a label on a box and be able to read it clearly...I press the screen, but it never does actually autofocus, just goes through the motions.
Besides this and the battery life (At 4% it notifies, then proceeds to shut off......lol, what happened to the 4%??) its a pretty decent phone.
Hello, my goal is to get Miracast working on my phone and from what i read, rooting is the only way to do this. Can anyone confirm that adding a line to the buildprop does indeed make miracast work? This is really the only reason i need to root and if i do root, i would stay stock. If i decide to root, am i correct in assuming that i could no longer accept ota updates then? If that is the case, do you know what forum thread i would use to get the latest updates? Thanks in advance.

If i do decide to root, where do i find the superuser for build

Can't answer you're Miracast question, but to root: flash SuperSU 2.79 SR3 in TWRP.

Yup, it's only compatible with the Google store edition.
So, if I'm rooted than i won't be able to take a ota update then?
If that's the case, do you know the thread where i could flash a safe update?
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Also, if i decide to root, is there a step by step guide to get this done, it's been quite a few years since i last rooted a phone and don't want to screw it up, thanks.

You can go to the Google android ota page, directions are there to adb side load it. You will loose root, I don't beliece you can update and keep root.

Keep the device powered on for at least 7 days, with the device connected to a data network the whole time. After that, the OEM unlock option should appear in developer options.

There is a trick where you change the date to a month behind or a month ahead then reboot the device.
Another method involves using TWRP to flash a file that bypasses it.
