[Q] Screen goes black when making or recieving call after unlock

After unlocking my phone with ChevronWP7 and now my screen goes black during a call and is unusable. The connection is fine, but its like my proximity sensor is doing its job even when the phone is away from my face. I checked and there is nothing physically blocking my sensor. I have to wait for the other person to hang up, then my phone shows the lock screen. I did a reboot but this didn't fix the problem. I don't know if this is device specific but I'm running an HTC HD7 without the software update. Here's everything I did after the unlock:
Prevent my phone from relocking:

And lastly installed a couple custom ringtones.
Unfortunately, I can't say after what step this started happening as I didn't get a call until I was all done.
Anyways, If anyone as had this same issue or a possible way to fix it without a hard reset, I'd sure appreciate some help.

the problem is in your sensor.....it's hardware related problem and have nothing to do with software, use your warranty to fix it

[Q] Disable proximity sensor

Hi,
I have a problem with proximity sensor.
I looked through many threads here, but they didn't solve it to the end.
Problem:
When I am making/received call, my screen goes blank (near ear or far).
Tried using various apps (ProximityOFF, Sanity, ScreenBl), also tried adding "gsm.proximity.enable=false" to a build.prop file in system, didnt help.
At the moment I am using ScreenBl (it is always on), but it works kinda weird - it helps me keep screen awake during every SECOND call, i.e. call happens - screen off, call happens - screen on, call happens - screen off, call happens - screen on and so on.
Also, during that every second call with screen on, if i press speaker button twice, screen goes off (until call is ended).
So i wanted to ask, maybe someone found a solution of how to PERMANENTLY disable proximity sensor?

P.S. I also cant figure out why it happens every SECOND call... maybe if you could help with that, we could find a solution?..
P.P.S. It's a Galaxy S, Darky's ROM, 2.3.3 - worked fine for many months, until couple weeks ago (dont know what changed....)
Edit: Same thing is happening without ScreenBl - still screen is on/off every second call...

similar issue with my SE xperia x10, the touchscreen broke in that corner where the sensor is so every time i make a call the screen gets locked and i have to remove the battery to end it.
the solution i found was intalling this app: Screen On from the market.
it keeps the screen on when some apps or process are running. i choose "active call".
please excuse my spelling, english is not my native language!
i hope you can solve the issue!!

[Q] problem with turbo sim

hello
i'm using turbosim .. the phone working with data and everything but its not stable .. it doesn't always receive calls , and it get stuck on black screen and keyboard off if i was talking with someone and he hangs up (then the only option is either a battery pull , or connecting to a charger and then the screen will turn on and i can continue using the cellphone normally
before it freezes , it makes a strange sound , the closest similar sound i can think of is rubbing nylon
i'm using fission 2.4.3 rom
i tried all the connection modes and its always the same ..
i noticed that if the other person hangs up when my screen is on (it always turn off when a call starts) , it doesn't freeze (but the cellphone still make that strange sound).. if i hang up first , nothing happens ..
any ideas ?
call quality is great by the way .. what could be the problem ?

[Q] My Note Edge's Screen doesn't turn ON during incoming call

I've a problem with my Note Edge SM-N915S (Exynos device).
/i've never seen this issue before, just first time happened today:
First, I'm running few apps like FB, Messenger, Chrome... and I turn my screen off for taking a little rest before an important call of my boss.
It's about 15 minutes later, I got an incoming call of boss: the phone's ringing loud, but the screen still stays dark except there's an ELECTRIC-HORIZONTAL-LINE ... yeah I mean it's looks like a thin line of the CRT SCREEN OFF ANIMATION - but I'm currently at stock ROM, with no custom screen off effect.

I cannot turn it on with touching on screen or anything except press the Power button twice. Accidental wake up is Off. I've no problem when using this phone before and after this time, phone still work normally... there's no any problem with the screen, the touch, and even the proximity sensor...
But i'm afraid if is there any hardware problem with my phone or my screen which is making phone unusable. Appreciate help, please. Thanks.

Can't accept incoming phone calls, No dialer screen

Hi all,
I have a major problem with my honor v10, a few months ago my fingerprint sensor button stopped working for no reason, but now I just use the navigation bar.
3 days ago all of a sudden I could not accept incoming phone calls at all, when I get an incoming call the dialer screen does not show up at all, I get a green banner along the top of the screen saying "touch to return to incoming call" I touch that and nothing happens....
I have tried everything possible to fix this to no avail, I even did a factory reset and that did not work....
Has anyone experienced this and any ideas on how to fix it? I'm guessing it is a software problem?
