Charger plugged off not recognized - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I've a strange problem with my N5.
When I plug in the charger, it's recognized and device is charging normally.
But when I plug off the charger, this isn't recognized. Battery icon stays in charging state, even in settings the status is shown as charging.
After a reboot all works as it should until I plug charger in/off again.
This happend with several custom roms I tried as well as after flashing original factory images.
Anybody any clue?

Prophet isn't bircked, but can't reflash?!

Hi,
Was trying to reflash my Jammin and after it completed and reset, it wouldn't boot with the USB cable plugged in. The screen flashes white, and both LEDs flash simultaneously (red for the top LED, and blue for the bottom), and this is repeated in a boot loop.
A similar thing happens when I unplug the USB cable and press the power button, except that it only happens once then turns off.
However, if I plug my mains power charger in I can get into the boot loader (so it's not bricked) and can in fact boot into the new ROM (Button ROM). Interestingly, in settings the battery indicator says there is 0% battery.
Now I don't think this is a battery problem. I have tried a friends fresh battery and the same things happens. By going into boot loader and switching off with the power button I have also got the original battery to fully charge (until yellow LED turns green).
Here is the thing that has me really frustrated. I can boot into windows (using the mains power cord) and during the boot can change to the USB cord (no reset and boot cycle). So Windows works with the USB in and Activesync detects the phone. However, when I try to reflash to another ROM the update software throws the following error: Error [220] mains battery power, because it reads the battery is less than 50%!!
Please help me!! Any ideas are appreciated.
Gavin.
I'm thinking that I may be able to solve this with the "cutting the mains charger wire trick." This will hopefully provide the necessary power while flashing, and allow me to have a USB/activesync connection at the same time.
Any thoughts before I destroy a perfectly good charger?
well seems I've solved it with a bit of surgery. used this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319636 and it boots into my new ROM!! Yay!

[Fixed] My Xperia E3 is not conecting by USB anymore

A week ago my Xperia was working normally with stock ROM, vinay's swap kernel, SuperSU... nothing strange. Last Saturday my phone was charging normally but then I noticed that battery was not charging: the screen was showing battery animation but percentage was not going higher. Then it turned off.
Since that when I connect my Xperia E3 to a charger or to a PC, battery animation appears but battery won't go over 3%.
Sometimes I get it charge in fastboot mode connected to any PC, but percentage does not reach 100% (it has reached 40%). I have unlocked bootloader and I have tried to flash both open and stock bootloader, but the result is the same.
When it turns on, it does not send any information over USB and does not detect any connection, but in Fastboot and Flash Mode it connects well.
What can I do?
Update: I left it discharging a week ago and today I've tried to power on and no it charges correctly . It seems like it was a hardware issue.

I CAN NOT charge my smartphone Charge only off or Bootloader

I CAN NOT charge my smartphone Charge only off or
Bootloader is the way it recognizes correctly when connecting and disconnecting the usb cable
Android System Started
On with the USB Cable: Indicates the battery icon as charging but in the state of the phone "indicates you are not ****ting", so disconnect and disconnect the cable does not recognize
On without the USB Cable: Does not recognize anything, neither connect nor disconnect
Loading with the Off: load very slow; By moment turns on and off the screen and shows the logo and then the percentage of battery
same problem but solved finally
Switch off your phone/ let the battery drained to null(recommended)
Try to start your phone at 0% to drain battery.
Screen will show 0% or plug icon.
Then connect charger then , then switch on plug of charger.
After few minutes screen will show battery at 3%.
Let it charged without disturbing, it may take more time.
In my case it take 1-2 days to fully charged.
After fully charged, notification light will show on speaker, then disconnect charger and turn your phone on.
Hope this will solve your problem.
If not repeat same procedure.
***Never turn your phone on/restart while charging it may create the same problem***
If the problem not solved, uninstall or disable "charging related noise problem" system app.
Problem solved
After trying to solve the problem by placing different ROMs and until flashing the Firmware the solution was the following
As the only way to properly load the phone was by bootloader mode; Leave charging the phone that way about 5 hours lego ignited the equipment even charging and that way began normal operation the equipment

Wrong battery values and shutdowns after battery replacement

Hey guys!
After two years, the battery of my HTC U11 drained so quickly that I had to charge it twice a day. I decided to replace it, ordered an original one and followed this guide: https://youtu.be/FY8ITVIkydM.
Now I have the following issue:
- Without the charging cable plugged in, it only shows the very first boot screen, after that, the phone shuts down
- With the cable plugged in, the phone boots normaly
- When the SIM-Card is inserted, it boots up, but after typing in the SIM-Pin, the phone shuts down
- Without the SIM inserted, I can start and use my phone (of course, without the cellular functions)
The strange things are: The battery value is wrong. When i plug in the cable after a reboot, it shows 58% and beginns to charge. If I charge until 80% and pull out the cable, the phone shuts down. After a reboot, Android shows 58% again.
Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be? I've checked the pin of the battery, it should be connected correctly. Does the system not recoginze the new battery and need a factroy reset?
Thank you in advance - cheers!
What happens if you use the old battery again?

Boot up on charge.
