I am wondering if Z5 has a AOSP/CM ROM that supports everything (including Fingerprint) ?
What has happened to FXP? No updates on their site for a long time? http://fxpblog.co/
No rom yet with everything working.

Is there any custom rom that is 4.2, and that has everything working?
Most of them are not fully working. And also none of the one that i have found dont have the camera working.

every 4.2.2 rom i've used has had a working camera, it'st he camcorder that doesn't work...and the last couple i've used, that's been all that didn't work...xenon, slimbean, aokp...even cm10.1 the only thing that's not working right now is the camcorder...i've read that it's a kernel issue...until our kernel gets updated to 4.2.2...there isn't going to be a 100% working 4.2 rom
I'm not getting,sound search either

I'm just happy to be on a rooted and unlocked aosp right now stepping up to 4.2.1+ can wait for me until its all sorted
RAZR HD
Eclipse V 1.3
Everything will not work until we get 4.2 update...until then if you want fully functional ROM then use stock.

I have gps problems on all 4.2. Roms. Every single one. Im not able to get a fix. Stock Rom GPS works like a charm though.

Yes and no...if you search on this forum you will see Hashcode working on an AOSP kernel for the device. He is making progress and vows to continue to work on it. But I do agree that if you want a fully functional ROM then you should use stock or something that is based on stock but 4.1.2
AFAIK there is not any 4.2 version bugfree. Unless camcorder is not working for any of them until today

Have you tried the fix where you lock GPS on stock, then flash the 4.2.2 rom? That seemed to work for me. I was having the same issues with GPS not locking, but now it works just as it did with stock.
Media audio out issues

For the couple of ROMs I've tried, I've not had any media audio out through bluetooth or through USB to my car dock.
CM10 has corrected the problem of the video camera and GPS. Currently, the only bug you have is a black screen that appears at random, but is resolved by rebooting. I think it's the best ROM today.
Wondering if anyone has this or knows of a custom ROM or the steps that I can cook a custom ROM for it? Its wonderful....the 4.2.2 ROM it comes with won't support 1080p ...an. I like cm10.1

I'm wondering the same thing. Just bought an MX2 three days ago. I like the concept, I like the box, but it doesn't have Bluetooth. Their tech says that Bluetooth won't work with 4.2.2 as configured. OK, fine. I'd like to go back to the last version of JB that DID have Bluetooth. A custom ROM that addressed that problem would work for me too.
I've tried a couple AOSP-based Marshmallow ROMs and none of them have the option to update Profile and Prl for Sprint. I know by definition AOSP shouldn't have this, since it's something propietary however is there a zip out there one can flash to bring this capability? I don't know if it's possible to take whatever allows this in the Factory Image and make it an add-on for all devs to possibly offer for their ROMs. But that would be .
Every aosp ROM I've used has it. Even the one marshmallow ROM I tried.

Really? Well damn. But can you point me to one?
Thanks.

That's stock based. AOSP based is the custom roms people build. I tried the chroma beta marshmallow rom and I couldnt even get data on sprint so i'm assuming there was an apn issue as usual. I'm waiting on Twisted Team to release their marshmallow rom because their lollipop rom worked pretty damn good on sprint.
Yea AOSP-based is what I meant.
Thanks for recommending Twisted!
I'm waiting for their M release.

People build custom ROM's based on stock and AOSP.

Update on a stock rom. The prl and profile stick. Only caveat is if you have trouble you have to flash back to stock to do it again. The only reason to have to do this is if your data stops working for some reason.

i just updated to cataclysm mm and it has the prl and profile update under more-cellular network-carrier settings. nice rom.

To be fair I think people add apks to most roms based on stock image and actually modify it very little, with the exception of cataclysm, which is heavily modded. AOSP based roms dont have Update Prl/Profile functionality by default because that comes with Sprint's proprietary software (just some additional apks) that needs to be added in.
Why is that any CM13 based rom simply cannot screencast, and fails even with some chromecast apps (photos) to actually output and image. Netflix frequently crashes on sultans and official cm nightlies.
Whereas omni and DU (omni based) work just as God and Google intended?
Chromecasts are insanely common these days it just seems like maybe the most major non stock rom should actually work with them.

I can't answer your question. Its jus a clarification. Du its not based on omni. From lollipop they are based on aosp.

Good to know, I read on their website omni based and saw they include some omni stuff so it seemed to make sense. I stand corrected though
I'm using jgcaap his rom for a few months now and I never had any issues with my chromecast. And I stream NBA and YouTube daily...
Has anyone tried this? http://download.mokeedev.com/?device=z3
Is a very famous chinese open source ROM based on Cyanogen Mod but with some add ons. I've tested it on other devices and is pretty stable. Has anyone tried on Xperia z·? I hope they will make a MM version.
I hope they are working on MM, but has anybody a download link of the latest lp rom? They have disappeared from the Webpage...
