Help Need About Some Apps?

hey guys. sorry for noobie question.
im using a wm6.5 beta rom that i tested for a friend cruzzmz in this huge community.
Since its still under beta, im having problem with find the notification for SMS. maybe u guys no any apps that can be used to change notification sound..

i tried to find phonealarm but its not around anymore... the web is dead

you can use the default one in start/settings/sounds & notifications..
or use RingTone Manager (which can be found in the forum)

I was trying to respond to a post, but due to the newbie restriction I have to post it here.
F-24 in case you read this, I have the same issues running MMI codes. It works if you use the actual keyboard instead of the on-screen keyboard.

I just have a quick question. Since I have installed your rom, it keeps asking me for sim network unlock pin, when I restart. This did not happen with the stock version. And now I cannot find apps like Skype on the market. If I do it on my computer, and click to install it tells me that it is unavailable in my country.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

[Q] Screen Orientation in Grooveshark 2.3.1 on Wildfire

Hi people,
i'm having a problem with the latest grooveshark app which seems to have a problem with the non-standard screen size of the wildfire. (jokerdroid 4.2, rooted).
it crashes whenever i change the orientation to portrait in the now playing view. on landscape it works. as i cant seem to find an older version to reinstall and want to use the newest features, i'm searching a way to fix the app's overall screen orientation to landscape.
My first guess was to modify the AndroidManifest.xml. But i cant seem to open it in windows and i dont really know how to edit it anyway. Maybe someone can have a look at the file and tell me where to add what?
Help is really much appreciated.

While I can't help you with any actual coding or editing, the best I can suggest is to send a screenshot (or take a picture of it crashing/crashed) and if you know how, send a logcat of it crashing as well, to the developer of the app.
You may also want to try running it on your stock ROM if you are able.

i tried it on the stock rom but still no luck. other users are having the same problem, see goo.gl/kd6bD .
i already sent that logfile to the devs. but it doesnt seem much like they would change something as i still dont have an answer after 1 week. Maybe they removed support for certain resolutions...?
i cant seem to find a way to manually locate the logfiles so i cant post them here...

[Q] How to add something into Settings?

Id like to know if anyone can tell me how to implement Call/Message Blocking into my settings, like in Jelly Beans and Galaxy Mod. Ive searched for it and couldnt really find anything except for Hero's guide on how to add something to the settings, which is great but i cant find the call/message block file. so if anyone has done it and has the time to help me out thatd be really great. thanks a lot.

You could post in either ROM thread and ask both developers that question. You can also ask jovy23 as he has it in his newest ROM.

[Q] Copy Samsung apps to other device possible?

Hi there,
I tried the search function but maybe I did not use the right terms since I did not get an answer. So please accept my apologies if this question has already been answered and point me to the corresponding thread.
I would like to know whether one could copy the Samsung app SmartStay to another non-Samsung device. Did someone already tried this?

If I would like to code this myself, do you see any big issues? Of course, I need a phone with a front camera but are there other prerequisites? Has anyone already coded something like this?
