Hi, I have a problem with my gallery, i explain, I rooted my j7 and I installed androd 6.0, well then, I unistall the gallery to use another one from play store, because I liked more. The problem comes when I want to change the walpapper from the home screen or the lock screen, when I try to do that I pick "from gallery" and it says "application not installed". So I hard reset my j7 but the problem continues. Any solution?

Hi Guys,
I am unable to download any new themes off the theme store. I can only install the two that were already installed in the device when you purchase but for all other themes - I click download and get a green loading overlay and then nothing happens. It looks like i am not signed into Samsung's account on the theme store but i am also to sign in using the setting options but this does not fix the issue.
Hope you guys can help.
Regards,
Mareen
I got some issues at theme store , i din't setup the samsung account at the inicial phone setup , then i was trying from the theme store, and nothing was happening .. So i logged in the samsung app store, and when i went to the theme store and press download , all worked right.
And if the login at sammy store keeps failing, try to do it with the wifi off, my S6 edge does have some apps not working properly wile on wifi sometimes.
I cant tap themestore hope u guys can help
It's pretty simple just make a Samsung account, login, then start downloading themes

Hey Guys,
i got a little Problem with "Samsung Apps" on my Galaxy s6 (Stock Rom Android 5.0.2).
I rooted it, and thougt i should delete some of the System Apps. I also removed "Samsung Apps" thinking i won't need it.
After i wanted to download some Camera features i got the error : "com.sec.android.app.samsungapps is disabled", but i can't enable it ( yeah, maybe beacause its gone)
So i tried reinstalling it, using the Apk from this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/themes-apps/hot-galaxy-s6-apps-t3041330
not functioning "Can't install the App"
also i tried getting the apk from the Stock "app" folder or "priv app" of the system dump, and copying the folders on my S6 device (to the same path)
http://zidroid.com/download-samsung-galaxy-s6-g920fxxu1aobn-system-dump/
still not able to reinstall. Reboot didn't change anything.
So last but not least, a factory reset didn't work either.
It has cleared everything and set the device to default settings etc, but "samsung Apps" is still not listed anywhere.
The question: does anyone have a clue how to reinstall it ? or do i have to download the Stock Image and flash it ?
Thanks for your time

I think the proper section for this would be the Q&A forum. Anyway, if you copy the app make sure to set the right permissions. In any case, if you flash a stock image over the one you have now, the problem should be solved. If it's not solved, a factory reset after that should fix it.

Ok thanks for the hint with the permissions.
I used der folder /system/priv-app/
and copied the Galaxy_Apps_3xh_zero.apk to my S6 path.
installing still wasn't working after setting the permissions ro rw-r-r- (like the other working apps)
i'm not sure, but i think it's something like an autostart path, so rebooting the phone after these steps, fixed my problem.
thread can be closed or whatever

Hi,
I removed/uninstalled the stock gallery app. Even though I have google photo installed, I got an error message when I try to access gallery by clicking the gallery icon in the samsung stock camera app. I also could not set the wallpaper for the lock screen, as when I click the gallery icon in the setting screen, it gave me similar error message saying "app not installed". Could someone tell me how I could restore the stock gallery app, or change the default app to google photo (preferred option)? Thanks in advance for your help!!
If you can find the gallery .apk then install it. If not, then reflash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.
I assume you are rooted since you managed to delete the gallery app.
So if you installed a custom rom, grab the apk from the zip file or reflash the rom.
If you are on stock do this aswell
I installed the new Samsung gallery apk from apkmirror.com .It wa from the Grace UX.. Unfortunately when i open the gallery the folders doesn’t show the name.. and setting a wallpaper becomes a bit irritating as the menus dont appear like "lockscreen", "homescreen", "homescreen & lockscreen".
I tried installing the old gallery apk which i got in the S7 forum but it fails to install.. What should i do now to go back to the older version? I haven't taken a backup of the older version and i am not rooted too.. stock and unrooted.. please help
Hi, since the Oreo update I can't find the "Unknown sources" to install APK's freely. I'ts not under "Lock Screen and Security", and I have enabled Chrome in "Applications/Special Access/Install other apps" and I'm trying to install apps from the "Downloads" section of chrome, but it dosn't work this way either.
I was trying to install the Pixel Launcher as seen from here: https://theunlockr.com/2018/03/13/make-samsung-galaxy-s9-look-like-stock-android/
But everytime I try it I get the "<!> Application not installed".
I don't know exactly what says in english, I'm using my phone in spanish.
Any ideas? Thanks!
If you go to Settings-Apps-3 Dots-Special Access-Install Unknown Apps.
They've moved it so only certain apps can install unknown apps
Please help how to fix this problem. This doesn't work, I tried installing Accuweather pro several times. I have the app saved to my Google Drive, I click on the app and I see something called 'Staging App' and then I get this alert ' There was a problem parsing the package'. I currently had an older version of Accuweather pro installed and working fine. I decided to remove the old version and then reinstall it and I received the same alert. FYI the old Accuweather app was installed before the Oreo update.

Have you tried downloading your APP file from Google Drive to your phone then opening the copy on your phone, that should install the .apk
Go to settings on the phone >> apps >> 3 vertical dots at the top right corner >> special access >> install unknown apps >> and there enable the permission from where you are trying to download it.
All thank you,
I found out that you now have to download the app to your phone. Google Drive does not allow you to download and manually install .
Dear sir/madam,
Following your answer, in specific this part, "They've moved it so only certain apps can install unknown apps", perhaps someone could help me out. I use the Firefox Focus browser and this app doesn't show up in the list of apps that are allowed to install unknown apps.
* Does this mean Firefox Focus can't install apps from unknown apps, since it's not on the list?
* And perhaps we can conclude from that it will never be allowed to do so?
* Or would this app not be on this list, because I've never tried installing anything using this browser?
I guess the real question would be, what populates this list?
I hope to hear from you, thanks in advance, all the best.
Form what I've seen, 1st time you try to install apk from an app it asks you if you want to allow it?

That's what I was thinking as well, funny thing is that 'Google Chrome' is in the list and I've never used that browser. Unless it's there, because it's from Google
I have followed the above suggestions and have allowed Chrome to install apps since that's the browser I'm using. The phone says I have downloaded the app but it is not giving me any option to install it? Where did the download go and how can I get it actually installed? This is an app for work.
Edit: Nevermind - I restarted the phone and tried again and it worked. thanks.
