Hi,
I wanted to ask how do you replace the first and second splash screen or at least one of them in the boot.img I was able to extract boot.img in Ubuntu but didn't find any .rle file in ramdisk. Also I read that the first splash screen is embedded in the kernel, what does that exactly mean and can I edit it ? I have an intel based German tablet the Tolino Tab 8 with KitKat 4.4.4
I do really want to do this and am able to learn everything, if there is the slightest chance let me know

Hi'
I have a serious issue, I just got a Hisense Sero 7 LT for christmas, rooted it and added CWM everything was great up until I decided to change the display DPI using DPI modder app that soft bricked my tablet now I cant connect the usb using ADB or CWM
All I have is CWM and the only flashable stock rom uses a rockchip flasher tool for windows and a stock.IMG file
My question, hope, and prayer to you is this: can you please turn this stock.img file into a stock flashable rom for Clockworkmod?
I used the tool to extract the other files as well I will include them in this post and once completed it can be shared for others going through this dillema I know at least one other. Thank you
Sero 7 LT STOCK.IMG DOWNLOAD
RockChip Firmware Tools For Firmware extraction
(SOLVED) Thanks anyway I made one and flashed it and it worked didnt think I could go figure
I have another thread about this with root info and how to install CMW I will add the stock rom there
ok so what i realy need to do is get my 10 posts to be allowed to post in DEV
but here we go i have been developing for android for years and i have a fully rebuilt Moto G CDMA a while ago i decided to upgrade to 4.4.3 blur
Falcon_umts for stability reasons 4.4.2 has battery status isues WELL documented!!! it works as long as i replace the modem prats after install or just dont erase modemst1modemst2 on install.
i went to repack the boot.img and now the radio wifi and even the power off feature just sits there spinning it took a while to find tools that supported the newer boot.img-dtb space i found the Android Image Kitchen has this support and repacks fine and boots but i still have the modem and radio isues this works fine with stock 4.4.3 boot i even just unpacked it and repacked it with no mod
what am i missing here does the MotoG have a built in verifier for the Boot.img if so where can i find it i cant find it
im not new to dev so plz be technical
I use a combo of Ubuntu Linux x64 and Windows 7 X64 for dev
Solved
All i had to to do is copy the OEM init.rc script from the CDMA boot.img to the new boot.img then repack and it worked
Hello. Could anyone compile a custom recovery for my Galaxy Core Plus SM-G350L (Latin America Model)? I can't build it and the automated builder is failed. I also know that it differs from SM-G350 that already has CWM. So, please, could anyone make a CWM recovery.img for me? I will thank you a lot, because there is no CWM for this device and can be barely rooted. I cannot build it on my own because I barely know Linux and my PC is weak. The phone runs Android 4.3 (JLS36C)
I supply you proper files that can help you:
-Stock recovery.img (dumped from ODIN Flashable ROM)
-recovery.fstab dumped from unpacked stock recovery.img

Please, if you are willing to take it, our community will finally be able to make ROMs and flash stuff, and that WILL be appreciated, at least by me.
Hi,
I was messing around with the phone and got a boot loop. I can't find the stock rom online and Alcatel doesn't have the official upgrade tool for my phone or at least I couldn't find it. I was going to compile android from source for this phone cause no one else has done it before but I need the stock boot.img or recovery.img for configuring build options in compilation environment in order to compile custom CWM and CM 13 or 14 o any other custom ROM.
Can anyone post me those stock boot.img or recovery.img so I can compile android from source for this model. I promise as soom as I get it going I will post results.
Thanks in advance!!
Regards!
Hi !
I see that you have posted here as well https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...d-bootloop-t3493789/post70812290#post70812290
Let`s keep it in one place
I would suggest you to search on the manufacturer`s website as well for a stock rom and be aware of the issues which may arise while rooting
Good luck !
