CM 13 snapshot, wifi and 3g stopped working - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
Im using cm-13.0-20161115-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO2Y1-peregrine on my MOTO XT1040.
Everything works fine, but after some time (couple of hours) the wifi and the 3g network stop connecting. For wifi I get the "obtaining ip adress" loop without ever connecting.
And for the 3g I get the bars with the sclamation points.
Restarting the device fixes the issue.
Any idea how to fix this without having to restart everytime?.
Thanks.

G2x Wifi Stopped working (not router)

Ok so ive had my G2X for a whilel, and all of a sudden last night it stopped working, it recognizes the wireless networks, tries to get stuck on obtaining IP, i tried turning off wifi, restarting phone, and whatever else i could think of, its not my wifi network because it is occuring on my buddies wifi, which i am currently connected to on this computer, and i use it regularly, im stuck and kinda bummed?
any insight?
Is yours one of the originals? 2 of my first five had this problem. It would seem connected but not be. Very frustrating. You don't say if you tried canceling the wifi connection on the phone and re-entering your password?
Are you stock?
I had this problem. Setting up a static ip fixed it for me.

[Q] Stock JB Non Root Relay Wifi issues

Ive been having major issues with my wifi on a stock non rooted JB stock firmware Relay.
Wifi was working fine for the longest time. Recently my wpa2 home network wont connect. I keep seeing "wifi authentication error" every time I try to connect. I did a cache wipe, and when I do, it works for a day or so and then goes back to the same issue
Now Im having problems getting any data from wifi, wether its an open network or WPA. It just shows that its connected, the little arrows on the signal meter light up but no data actually gets transferred.
I did a battery pull and it seemed to fix it temporarily, but seems like the issue comes back
Any help??

38R Wi-fi connection issue

Ever since my phone got the XNPH38R update I've been having an issue with wi-fi
If I connect to wifi it works fine but as soon as I lose the wifi signal it can't seem to reconnect to the same wifi without rebooting the phone. Its especially annoying when I walk to get the mail or come home from anywhere.
I've tried manually connecting to the wifi after being disconnected in the android wifi settings menu but it doesn't connect until I reboot my phone.
I'm running the 64GB oneplus one on t-mobile in the usa.
Any suggestions?

I've had this issue on CM, except it'd work when I manually connected back to the wifi - I believe it's an issue when the phone goes to sleep it's failing to resume wifi connections.
The only thing I could suggest is try downgrading back down, or doing a clean re-install, and reporting this issue on CM's jira, so they can fix it.

I'm on OMNI now, so I can't really help you out, but do try unticking that 'wifi optimization' option, or perhaps using a tasker profile to turn off and on wifi whenever the screen display turns off and on respectively (at the trade off of loosing connection, so you won't be able to download stuff while the phone's off).
i have the same problem..

Constant reboot when auto connecting to unknown protected wifi networks

The phone constantly resets when trying to connect to unknown networks that require a password. It took me ages to figure out what was causing it and it's a real pain. You could just be walking down the street and it'll try to connect to a WiFi network that will kick off this constant resetting. You have about a second to turn WiFi off, before the process starts again.
Anyone have any ideas on a fix? I mention EE as they have their own software variant that enables WiFi calling in the UK, not sure if that's relevant?
Whilst I mention WiFi calling, that's pretty rubbish too, constant interference on my end only - didn't get it with iPhone 6?
Thanks in advance....

2g Wi fi stops working, stays showing as connected.

Has anyone had the issue where wifi although showing as connected stops working for 30 seconds or so whilst throwing up dns errors in chrome, then start working again?
It's just cost me a corrupted save in Fallout Shelter!
5g works OK, just 2g with the problem.
