I'm considering selling my 4/128 (on Swappa) & moving to the 6/256 variant.
If I do,when I get the 6/256 MIX,you can have mine @ no cost.
If you can wait a couple weeks,I'll send it to you ASAP,but,I do want to keep the one I have now, most buyers will likely pass over my listing w/o it.
PM me if you want to discuss this further. :good:

I understand and thanks a lot. I would be forever grateful if you could hook me up. I bought a cheapo clear case on amazon..but I can NOT stand the feel of these plastic cases....I wish diztronic or some reputable brand made a case for these...but, that will never happen with such a low production amount of these phones.
if you do sell it, just let me know and I will send you my address
again, I really do appreciate it.

I bought the 6/256, and I am extremely happy that I did so.
I've found 4.5 Gb of RAM routinely being used, and I never notice any lag or decreased speed in use.
Cheers

I'm good w/4GB RAM,but, this phone may be a long-term keeper & I can actually see myself wanting/needing more local storage than the 4/128 model provides.
Should development take off,TWRP backups can take a nice chunk of space, however,in all actuality,I probably won't need the extra storage, but,it's nice to have vs the alternative(s)..............
@cms062407 :
In the meantime,I definitely recommend this case,if you're interested ( The sandstone finish is similar to that found on the OnePlus' 1+1 ):

Agreed, you can never have enough storage in my opinion and I also think the Mix is a.long term keeper.
It's a great consumption and content creation tool.
I also think Android is rather memory hungry.

Check your InBox ............................... :good:

To be quite honest with you, i'm not overly happy with the stock case:
1) earphone hole is too small. My normal earphones can't plug in. I might cut it open a bit to enlarge it.
2) Barely any screen lip - no screen protection
3) volume/power buttons don't stick out enough and are hard to find.
getting a couple cases from ebay, hopefully they are better.

I'm also looking to buy the original leather case. Mine didn't come with one due to the shortage. Unfortunately I bought it from a third party seller. I also have PayPal account. Please let me know if anyone is selling. Thanks.

Hi nilron,
I am not sure if a product your speaking of exists right now. But I can tell you that our JAVOskin does NOT waterproof your device.

Javoedge,i wanna buy your skin case and other accesories for mine Qtec 2020.
But i havent got Visa, and i'm from Russia, can you deliver goods via DHL,or other services. :?:
Hi Alan
Your product looks great and I would be very interested, however there is one thing that puts me off for the moment and I wanted to share this with you.
I have an SD WIFI card and another SD memory card which at the moment fit nicely in a special designed slots on the cover of my Proporta Aluminium Case.
Have you thought about this issue ?
I own a Javoskin Case and its great, although it does not protect the screen, it looks better than the o2 case you get with the phone an some of the aluminium ones, i would like to get a clear plastic case for it, so i can see my xda ii in all its beauty!
Hi fabolousxda
Thanks for your input.
Do you have any extra SD cards that you need to carry with you ?
Have you any solution for this ?
Anyone looking for a clear plastic case? Check www.proporta.com
They now have the Proporta Clear Case.
Although I guess I will get scratches more easy, I like the advantage of being able to see the screen without opening the case very much.
I ordered one mid june. On back-order . . .planned to be in stock round 15th july (hey! thats tomorrow!) . . .

Hi MartinHSabag,
It looks like any SD card or applications would fit with the JAVOSkin as it is wide open on the top. The far right pic on the pic below should show you how it is open.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks!
- Alan from JAVOedge
I am sorry but I just realized that I miss read your question.
As of right now there are no plans on making special 'slots' for extra SD card/other SD devices. The goal of the JAVOSkin is to contour the device giving it a sleek look, if a cover or special slots were created, it would not contour the device well.
thanks for the question and I apologize again for misreading you the first time.

Hi Alan
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
I've ordered it already !

I find that the slots behind lend themselves to slipping a wifi SD card in there quite well. I admit a little unsightly and unpolished but nevertheless a working & safe solution. Great case!!!
Thanks Kirk
I was thinking of that myself but didn't think it will actually hold it.
Thanks for your input.

I am new to this site, and but have had an XDA since they first came out in the UK (about 2 years(or aleast since they have been available) I have ordered most if not all of the 'bits' for both my XDA 1 and 2, in all that time i have used Japan, Korea, Spain and America, as well as the UK to order things for my XDA. I have used Vaja, Proport, Handango, and others many times. However, I'm amazed that JavoEdge cannot reply to emails,I have been given an invalid UPS tracker no. and i want to know where my 'bits' are? The order was placed 5 days ago. All this after spending $90.00 on a case, screen protectors and a sync cable, OH AND EXPRESS DELIVERY!!! as i can't get a response from Javo direct maybe i'll get one here!!
Javo check the email at work!!!
Sorry my first post on this excellent and informative site is a rant

Can't get the Orb? Take a look at this...

Review is up! Click here
*Just a foreword...I am not saying that this QI charger is better (or worse) than the Orb. This is not a comparison of any sort. Rather, I'm raising attention for this charger for those unable to get the Orb (pretty much everyone outside the US) and/or those who personally do not like the Orb. With that said, let me give you my thoughts*
Right, so I stumbled upon this very good looking QI charger for the Nexus 4, and I think it deserves a thread of its own.
Clicky here to see the product. You will find high quality pics/renders in the listing.
For a start, it looks miles better than those unsightly large ones being sold by fasttech, and the plasticky (is that a word?) "small" ones. This charger looks truly compact and I love the aluminium finish. The charging light is also well placed and not obtrusive. IMO, a beautiful device like the Nexus 4 should be used with equally beautiful hardware.
Another bonus is that this charger is actually from a reputable brand (at least in China) called Metrans. Again, I find this to be a more promising sign of quality than what the unbranded ones have to show for.
My point being, if for whatever reason you cannot or do not want to buy the Orb (I live in the UK and personally prefer to place my gadgets flat), this charger may be worth considering. I certainly think its worth buying over the massive ones sold by the likes of Energizer.
At $59, it's by no means cheap but I think its a double edged sword. Quality is usually proportional to price (Apple being the exception)
Unfortunately this seems to be a brand new product so I was unable to find any reviews. I have taken the leap however and bought one so I will update you all once it arrives. I expect it to arrive in about a week, so keep an eye on this thread if you're interested

My purchases from China usually arrive in a week
Also I did say this was for those not interested/unable to buy the Orb. It's a mixture of both for me
A final point...you say "$60 for a cheap charger", are you aware that the Orb costs the same? And $60 is by no means cheap.

Perhaps, but this might help those unable to get the Orb. Only people in the US can buy it.
I am not saying this is a Orb beater, I am saying its may the next best alternative for those unable and unwilling to buy the Orb.

I love aluminum, I'll definitely be interested in reading your review!
looking forward to your review. i am considering this as its cheaper then getting the charging orb to my country inclusive of tax
nice
Looks a lot cleaner and more attractive then the orb. The tilt of the orb has more worried about it sliding off but im not sure what its made of i just dont know why they made a charger thats tilted. But nice Post bro
Looking forward to your review. Seems like a pretty nice charger.

Only observation is that eBay seller has had no feedback for 12 months or over? They also say they have stock in UK according to description so let's see how long it takes to be delivered.
Good luck

Yh I noticed that as well, but I guess all sellers have to start with zero feedback right?
Anyway I sent him an email and it appears that the first few chargers (i.e. mine) are being sent from China but inventory will be made available in the UK in a few days.
P.S You can also buy the charger from here. Appears to be a Chinese marketplace for foreigners (like fasttech, dealextreme, etc). However the price is the same.

Man if your going to spend $60 on the charger you might as well get the orb IMHO
Sent from my blazing fast nexus 4 o yeah baby this phone is awesome
I like this one more (only visually, who knows about how well it works), but too bad its not slanted like the Orb.

Quite the opposite for me, I prefer it to be flat, won't have to worry about the slippage issue some people are complaining about.
Also yh, this already wins in the looks department but hopefully my review will show that it functions just as well
I like the design. But being almost identical to the orb's pricing makes it hard for US-based buyers to justify the purchase.
I'll hold off from buying the orb for now and wait for your review.
The ebay seller is a lying sob. He claims he's a EBAY TOP RATED SELLER.
To become such a seller you need to, and I quote "Have at least 100 transactions and $1,000 in sales with US buyers over the most recent 12-month period." and "Have an eBay account that's been active for at least 90 days"
See all requirements here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/top-rated.html

Wow, calling him a "sob" seems a bit harsh. He has a small image at the very bottom of the listing saying "eBay Top Rated Seller", that could have easily come as part of the template for the listing. Anyone can see his seller rating so it would be very hard to mislead anyone.
I look forward to receiving the product doing a review so that I can prove you wrong.

it's not part of a template, it's something he intentionally added to his listing. You should be cautious with ebay sellers from china with low feedback like this and claiming that he is a top rated seller just shows the seller might be dishonest about other things in his listing. Not saying you wont get what you ordered but who knows what the quality will be like until you can review it. Ebay can be pretty sketchy esp. sellers from china imo, i wish they would add a review feature like amazon.

Thinking of getting the black version. Though I'm wondering if it's safe to order from them, since I've never tried before. Has anyone done so here? Also, I heard they jack up prices by as much as +$20, but I can't find the same item at eBay. If anyone knows a better site to order this from, please share.
P.S. Though I have seen this case for much cheaper at Aliexpress, I'm not ordering from them since they do not support PayPal, and I've heard many horrible stories from dealing with their merchants.
Thanks in advance!
It's at dx-box.com for around $30. And they do PayPal.
I don't see any speaker cut-outs, not sure how that would sound... Other than that, looks like a nice case, not sure if the case would interfere with Wifi and Signal though

It seems to work the same as the Element Eclipse case (routes the speaker hole to the front of the phone). As for signal, yeah, I'm aware of the issues with aluminum cases/bumpers. I'm willing to risk it since the case just looks so freaking sexy.
Btw, DX-BOX is legit, right? Because I'm ready to pull the trigger.

I've seen that case on ebay. Search for "saber s4 case". Looks nice but I have to wonder about how the signal strength may be affected. That and the weight.
What is strange is that a few of the auction descriptions say to take off the battery cover before using the case.
I'm willing to give it a shot. Ordered from DX-BOX two nights ago, and my order is listed as "processing". Already ready to make a PayPal dispute in case things get messy, though I hope it doesn't come to that.
I don't mind the weight either, since I like a bit of heft on my phones anyway and the S4 weighs virtually nothing.

True that. Was really no contest when it came down to the price. Just waiting for my order to be shipped out. Still says "Processing" at the moment after two days.
Well it's been 5 days since my order, and it hasn't been shipped yet. Still says "Processing", when they replied back to my complaint saying they would ship 1-2 days after I sent them my message (it's been 4 days).
Thinking of filing a PayPal dispute if a week passes with no news. Not looking good so far.

about my tracking number. On an email before that, you mentioned the
item had already been shipped on Oct 3, but last time you said it was
a holiday in China so I assume it hasn't been shipped yet. But if it
has, may I please have my tracking number now?
I don't have any news about my order. I might have to open a PayPal
dispute if I don't get any news. I don't want to do that, since I'm
still hoping this goes through smoothly and without issue.
Thanks.
hi,I apologize for the inconvenience, for some reason the shipping delays, customs, etc..please wait a few days

Ah yes, the old Chinese Holidays, shipping delays and customs excuses
But in this instance, it appears to be true regarding the Chinese Holiday scheduling. See 2013:

But should still have gotten a tracking number....
Hey guys!
I just ordered a metal battery door replacement for my GS4 from Casefanatic. I have to say it looks absolutely gorgeous, but functionality went down the drain. I get really bad reception with the metal back battery door.

That being said, I'm only assuming that their metal cases may give the same problem, but I may be wrong.
On another note, I bought TWO battery doors since they had some sale going on. The battery doors are essentially plastic doors with a thin metal sheet glued onto them. I ordered two black, they sent me one white and one black.
After contacting customer service...
Hello Eugene,
Sorry, it seems we do not have the black frames, so they sent the white frames instead, without notifying me.
If you wish to return them, please return the case, using any standard cheap post $2 - $12, to:
Mod Edit – Some content removed
We will refund you once we receive the case.

So because of this and the fact that my connectivity gets cut, I will be sending them back.
They are overseas (China), so shipping takes a while. Customer service seems fairly speedy however. I got a response back within the same day, so they don't seem so bad!
Although I have to pay for shipping to refund the thing, at least I'll get most of my money back. Hopefully the refund process goes smooth. I'll let you guys know!

EDIT: To the above posts with that whole "Processing" thing on the tracking website. I had the exact same thing. It said "Processing" for about a week, then suddenly showed up at my door. But whatever.. I'm hoping this refund thing goes down smooth...
Still waiting for my item to arrive. At least the tracking number finally works now. Apparently it's still at customs in Beijing. Last update was 5 whole days ago too.
still waiting?

Replacement wristband

I'm interested into changing wristband on my LG Urbane 2nd. I found this page:
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?sp...A9dEXh&id=549595140604&ns=1&abbucket=2#detail
Unfortunate i don't understand much... Well, anything.
Can, please, anybody help me out? Is possible to buy this wristband?

yes, you can buy good spare parts here. try google translate. normally you will understand enough to get through the ordering process. if not you can call me again. i will ask a chinese friend, but this will take some time.
Oh, that's great news @sebj84!
I tried Google translate. I see that I can buy wristband in either white or black color. However, I can't make purchase if I continue with "google translated" page. On original web page there is price USD 24.93, maybe there are additional costs for delivery.
I'd like to buy that wristband, but I'm not sure for international delivery and I don't speak the language. Well, if there is any option to buy it on ebay, Amazon... (or similar), I'd more than happy to buy there.
On this "Taobao" page... huh, I'd rather transfer funds (also to cover the costs for shipping) via PayPal to someone who is able to buy this for me.

ok, if you can wait a little bit, there are more people asking me also on the g+ community.
actually i'm not good in chinese too, but i have some friends over there and i'm very near to china anyway (we have another factory there, and am there from time to time).
so if you wait, we can make an order all together and i'll ask my friend to organize this than for us. i just don't want to ask him every week, for this, so lets wait a few weeks to get all people who wants this together.
what you think?
Sure I can wait.

Thanks for this link. I don't understand a single character of Chines but I got through it all with Google Translate. The key is to set up an account first. I used translate on every page doing that. Set up a default shipping address in here. Once done add it to your cart. Then go to your cart and translate, check the item and settlement. It will want you to set an Alipay pin code. (just translate all the way through when needed). Once past that you enter your credit card info and then you are done. It took me 45 minutes to get through this but it was way cheaper than the other options.
I may have missed a step or two but you should be able to figure it out. I just bought a refurb watch and don't have it yet, but I wanted a spare and this was reasonably priced.
Don't bother. There is a hidden 115 yen logistics fee. I am in the process of a refund.

Yes it is Yuan, excuse my ignorance. I did end up going ahead with the order and the band is identical to the original, but seems slightly thinner and softer. And it works. It turns out to be half the price of the EBay leather covered band. Had it in Canada in 14 days.
How long does it usually take?

I have been waiting for 2 weeks I dont know if it will even arrive. How's the process on this?
I'm from the Philippines.
Hi! I own an LG Urbane 2 LTE, now the strap finally is showing the wear and tear and I'm planning to replace the strap (wristband).
Any idea where to get in 2018?
anyone got any idea what will stop working if the band is replaced with standard 22mm, I have read that it is related to LTE only, how about wifi and BT - are they affected, I will unlikely be using the LTE option so it doesn't matter if it doesn't work

I tried just a little and bt and wifi works, but I didn't test it to much.
I honestly believe that parts (the actual antenna's) of a broken band could be stripped out and remain connected to the watch for fitting of a standard 22mm band, this option would also fill the connections of the old original band maintaining the seal, I worked in electronics for years and carry out all repairs on my own phones - I have stripped down and repaired many, I believe my above suggestion could work, just a little care stripping out the old band
I don't think a regular band would end up looking right? Anybody actually try this?
New watchband supplier
I couldn't get through Taboo's website to order a new watchband there, Google translate didn't handle the pop-ups at checkout. But I found a website in Korea that has new bands, stock black or leather (sewn to stock black, apparently), $56. Seems pricey but it beats tossing my excellent LG Watch Urbane. Ordered & received new bands plus special screwdriver in about 2 weeks.

So I got this case cause I loved the design, needed protection for my 4XL and the look of the red with the black. First off I wasn’t expecting such a solid case for the price that I paid !! This is up there with much more expensive brands quality wise for 1/2 the price. Install was simple enough and the buttons are clicky and all ports perfectly aligned. Squeeze to activate Google assistant works like always and the “lip” around the Rear camera and front of the phone offer great drop protection. Along with a tempered glass this is all I need to keep my phone pristine. My favorite part is how the audio is channeled to the front once the case is applied so it enhanced the media watching experience and now I can’t cover the sound when watching in landscape . Amazing job !!
You guys should get one. too!

You're literally the guy who posted the ad about giving out free cases for Amazon reviews.
You could at least just state that and then give the review from your eyes instead of pretending like you're a regular user of the case.

I have been their reviewer for a while. The founder is cool and nice, we are close at twitter.
They contacted me that they need someone to post a sponsored thread will get sticky up in the form.

Leave the poor guy alone, even he works for them, I am glad to have a free case.;p;
We'll see I have been "selected" to review one of these(sadly not the one with red on it. I have no problem saying if it's legit or not

it may be, and honestly mine is arriving today, but if you're going to post about a product then you need to be upfront about how you acquired it and not come in hot spouting bull**** about how it's the greatest thing and that people should buy it. then get defensive when someone calls out your bull****
It's a scam. Long story short, they make you buy the case (and a ****ty water bottle) and claim they'll refund you via PayPal.
Here's what they sent me:
And the link to their sleazy webpage.

Just to clarify one point, not saying their approach is sleazy or not, but they send the money before you order it. They are lying about a lot of things, but free is free. And I will give an honest review.
I can confirm they are not a scam I got the emails and then received the payment to my PayPal. I don't work for them and I'm not affiliated. I have ordered the case and the bottles to which I am actually gonna use the bottles. I have an idea. Will update when I get the items in.

I just got the same email word for word the other day. It took so long for a reply from them that I already bought an awesome tech21 smokey black case and a cheaper case when I first got the phone. I'm definitely going to pass on this. Never heard of having to buy something completely unrelated and having them pay for both but give a review for a case it's just too weird.
and I think the guys got like 3 threads about a case on here already.
But to each their own I guess and it all depends how far someone is willing to go to get something for free lol.

it's actually not uncommon. the fact that they pay first is not normal
The first thread is shady as it can be trying to game Amazon's algorithms, but seems "legit" as far as it goes.
THIS thread, on the other hand, is just spamming the forum. Dude doesn't love the case he got for his Pixel 4 XL, he's putting another thread to get more eyes on the product in a different section of the P4XL forum. It's the definition of spam.
I've dealt with a few different companies producing phone accessories who offer them for free in return for reviews. I make a point to clarify ahead of time that I am happy to review their products, but won't be altering my reviews in any way just because the product was received for free and most seem happy with that. With one of these companies, they've even become my go-to for any phone cables or chargers I buy (I'm looking at you, CHOETECH.)
The whole process here felt a bit different and off, in a very bad way, than the process of ordering/reviewing accessories from those with whom I've dealt in the past. Most are fairly honest about where they're from and I have no problem with Chinese phone accessories, but I was less comfortable with this at first especially because of the requirement to purchase another item I wasn't even interested in (the Favonian travel bottle set) and due to the writing style of the e-mails, included photocopy of a handwritten note (which kinda defeats the purpose of making it seem more personal in my opinion), and the name attached to the funds transferred to me on PayPal, this doesn't seem like a company from Frisco, Texas to me. I'll also note here that the (rather cheap) packaging for the case itself states it was "Designed in DFW Texas", but "Made in China".
One user in this thread also mentioned that this whole deal seems designed to manipulate the Amazon recommendation system. The process includes searching for the product using specific keywords, asking a question to create buzz about the product, and adding it to a community idea list as well as ordering it along the aforementioned Favonian product. That's where things begin to feel especially uncomfortable for me. I see nothing wrong with receiving a product for free in exchange for an unbiased review and even if I have an issue, I'm happy to give a company the chance to rectify it and earn the positive review they're seeking.
However, I have both products in my hand, was issued a PayPal payment before making the purchase, and do like the case. It's big and assembly wasn't the easiest (I don't really see this as a flaw- cases that go on easy are often the same ones that will fly off the moment a phone drops), but the case itself is solid and seems like it'd do a good job protecting my Pixel 4XL from falls. Audio output and microphone input work fine, despite another poster previously mentioning he/she didn't see any holes (there are spaces on the front for audio) and it doesn't conflict with the glass screen protector I already had. Honestly the travel bottle thing seems pretty cool too. If I actually traveled much, I might use it.
This wasn't a scam, at least in my case, though I'd also be lying if I said the experience was comfortable. It felt less like they were seeking honest reviews and more like they were hiring us to act as operatives to bring more visibility to their products. That said, when I post a review, it will be about the product itself, as it is a product review, not a seller review or a customer service review.
I don't like ads masquerading as legit postings from real users who spent their real money on a product. The OP is misleading in several ways and I don't do business with misleading outfits. I'm not reporting because I'm not the forum police but the post violates forum policy and should probably be locked/taken down. And fix the ad before you post it again, very unprofessional.
