[Completed] Sencor Element P470 not booting, no recovery mode, no logo, nothing - XDA Assist

Hello Everyone!
I have had this phone since the end of August 2015. I have been experiencing some strange behavior this month, which was strange, considering it is not even 2 years old.
The phone would randomly freeze and then turn off, and refuse to turn on. When plugged in, it would charge from 0%, despite it turning off at like 40% or 60%. This was going on for a while, then one day it suddenly doesn't turn on anymore, it displays the logo and gets stuck there. When plugged in, it gets stuck in a boot loop. The only way to get it out of the boot loop was a battery pull.
I tried getting it to work by trying to access the android recovery mode, but it didn't even display anything this time. It was just gone. Now when I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it does literally nothing, even when it's plugged in.
What might be a problem here? Is there a way I can get it to work again, or is it done for?

Greetings and welcome to assist. I can find very little information on your device, all I can suggest is changing the battery and doing a factory reset other than that I am out of ideas

Thank you for your answer, Sawdoctor!
I understand the device is extremely rare, which is a big concern of mine regarding getting help from anywhere about fixing it.
Am I able to perform a factory reset when I can't access the android system recovery menu (in which in my understanding are you supposed to select the factory reset)?

[Q] Atrix 2 wont boot up, battery issues?

Hi guys,
I just recently flashed my phone to the Romulus rom, and its been going great. There have been a few hiccups but nothing too big, except for 2 things:
1. Whenever the phone is plugged in, the lockscreen becomes unresponsive. When i try putting in my unlock pattern, it only allows about 2 dots max before it thinks i have lifted my finger of the screen. To fully enter the pattern i have to unplug it, enter the pattern then reconnect the charger. Anyone else had this, or know of a fix?
2. This is the major one. For some reason, when my phone turns off due to low battery, the phone just wont come on, no matter how much i charge it. It gets stuck in a bootloop at the moto logo. Its happened twice now, the first time i somehow got it working by using the charger to turn it on, then unplugging and pressing the power button immediately at the logo. However yesterday this isnt working. When i do that, at times it boots up, but then when it gets to the lock screen it tells me to connect the charger, then shuts down again. The battery icon is red with an X accros the symbol. Does this mean that its not detecting the battery? How would i fix this?
Cheers for your help

First off mate, all questions go in our Q&A Section, so just keep that in mind going forward.
Now, your 1st question regarding the touch screen's responsiveness while trying to unlock with password, I've experienced this myself, and while charging. Though I'm not really sure what causes this, to be truthful. I've found though, that sometimes locking and unlocking will get things to cooperate. I doubt it there's anything to cause concern with any hardware (digitizer) since you don't mention this as being an issue outside the unlocking of the device while charging. Mine was sporadic, and I eventually grew tiresome of the pattern unlock, and did away with it altogether. Perhaps someone else could chime in here with a better explanation as to why this happens. (?)
Now, to your more 'serious' issue. Seeing as how you have Clockworkmod Recovery (CWM) installed, you never want to allow your device to power down at the low battery state. You're lucky that you can at least -or at least have- been able to boot after a low power shut down. You may need to FXZ back to stock, if the phone will not boot at all. Can you get into AP Fastboot by pressing and holding AT THE SAME TIME the volume up +volume down + power buttons? If so, you can restore to stock and get yourself out of the soft brick. Here is a great thread with discussions by Fall of Enosis and jimbridgman, I suggest you read through this:

Edit: Also i'm on SCV7 so it's nothing to do with the rom.
For your second Q...Try to clear battery stats on CWM?? Sometimes when u flash a new rom u need to clear those stats...So give it a shot and let us know what happened.

This won't do anything for the OP's inability to boot. That's why I said that likely his best bet is to see if he can boot into AP Fastboot, so that he may be able to FXZ back to stock...

Cheers for the heads up, its not exactly a question, but I've seen questions on this board before so i thought that was ok.
Thing is, its not that it wont boot, it boots after i charge it for a while, but it states that the charger is not connected each time it boots, then shuts down.
Why should we not allow it to go into a low battery state when on CWM? I also set CWM recovery to start at each boot, and i have backups of just before and after i flashed the phone. Cant i just restore a previous backup rather than flash to stock?
And with the battery reset, doesnt clear any user data yeah? I have alot of stuff i would hate to lose

Okay, I thought from the thread title that at some point, the phone wouldn't boot after a low power shut down. If the phone is saying that it isn't recognizing the battery while charging, you might have some luck trying the methods I overview in THIS POST. The battery will NOT charge while in CWM Recovery, nor will it charge while in AP Fastboot. This is why it is imperative that you not allow the phone to get to such a low power stage, especially when attempting a flash. You can certainly restore via CWM either of the backups that you have, and see if the problem clears up. And with a battery stats reset, nothing is wiped except the battery statistics. All of your user data, applications, settings, etc. will remain in tact. Hope this helps...

The battery reset actually worked! I had to charge it for quite a while on the usb charger since it wouldnt charge on the mains charger. Once it was on i made a backup then cleared the battery stats, and now it detects the mains charger.
Cheers for your help guys i still dont get why it wouldnt charge on the mains charger when the battery was low, even though before it would charge before when the battery wasnt...

[Q] RAZR XT890 stuck in Motorola/Intel logo

Hello guys.
About an hour ago, I tried to access my WiFi configs, and realized it would take me back to the start screen. So I rebooted my phone. The thing is, it is now stuck in the big red Motorola/Intel logo, and keeps looping.
If I try to turn it off by using the Power button, it doesn't work. If I try to reset using Power + Vol Down, it just restarts the loop. I can't get into recovery mode, because it won't turn off.
I really don't know what to do. My phone is still trying to boot for the past hour, and I really need it, asap.
It is running Android 4.1.2. No root. As stock as it gets.
Any advice, guys? Please

I have the exact same problem.
My phone (non rooted, stock Android) has been freezing quite a lot for the past 1 or 2 weeks. Sometimes rebooting on its own, sometimes I had to force it. This afternoon it froze again and I had to force reboot, where it started freezing at the Motorola logo. I cant go any further since rebooting just makes it loop that way.
I waited for the battery to deplete so my phone eventually turned off, charged it back at around 60% and tried to go into recovery mode with power+volume up+volume down. Same results. I don't think I could have failed the recovery mode procedure because I had practiced and knew I would only get 1 chance of succeeding.
Anyone has experience with this ?
I will see if Motorola or my retailer will repair/replace it for free under warranty terms, otherwise I will try opening it up for some cleaning and maybe further attempts with control over the battery.

Well, Motorola did repair my phone for free, but I live in Brazil. It took them 1 day to repair. They say that part of the circuit board was damaged, but I don't know what could be the cause. Maybe overheat? I don't know about your phone, but mine would get up to 50ÂșC while using Skype.

Nexus 5 wont boot

Last night, my nexus 5 suddenly rebooted itself. When it restarted it was in a boot loop. but not a boot loop that i can get out of.
It just keeps going round and round almost as if the power button is stuck. however the power button is not stuck.
i cant get into recovery to clear the cache as when i boot into the bootloader it just automatically restarts again, i can move one option up or down and that is to shut down or reboot into bootloader, but not the second move that would take me to recovery.
i have now taken the back off, and unplugged the battery in the vain hope that it clears through whatever is causing the issue but im not convinced it will make any difference.
Please advise. i'm completely housebound and cannot walk due to having a knee operation, and completely dependent on my mobile if i have an emergency.
i've tried Kwoggers out of the box fix from his 2.1.2 toolkit but this didnt work as the phone wont stay in one place long enough for it to get a fix.

If it reboots, even in bootloader, then it's either a broken power button or a broken motherboard.

the phone was on, it hadn't been rebooted for a few days. It hadn't been dropped. but suddenly it went into a boot loop.

Not exactly sure, it's happened to a couple of people. Another reason could be a defective battery. What happens if you plug in the charger and attempt to boot?

same. just boot loops.
the reason i dont think its the power button is it just stops doing it and just switches off.
when its plugged in it just reboots around the white google logo, constantly. without being plugged in it goes to the 4 balls and reoots

[Q] TF300t stuck on asus screen. No ADB, no fastboot, no recovery, n

Hi Everyone,
I know there have been a few posts regarding the issue I'm asking about on this forum earlier but I do not see any real resolution yet.
The status of my TF300 currently is that it is constantly stuck on the Asus logo screen. The next screen of RCK, Android & Wipe option does not appear even if I try to do the Power+Volume combo. Hard Reset through that small pin-hole opening does not yield any result either. The tablet restarts and gets stuck exactly at the same Asus logo stage. :crying:
Worse, my PC does not even seem to recognize the device when connected through USB. Any idea what can be done to resolve this?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Nothing really happened before this stage. I successfully unlocked it as it showed that (and still shows) on the top left corner but I could never really get to the next stage to do anything. It just started getting stuck on that screen the moment I tried to reboot and get it to the options screen. Been stuck ever since.

Power off by letting the battery go dead. Maybe that clears some residual memory. Else it doesn't look good.
Thanks Berend
I did power off a couple of times by draining the battery completely but no luck. I guess it's time to lose hope now - unless anyone else has any suggestion. I see this as a problem with a lot of users but every suggested fix is overlooking the fact that we can't access the 2nd screen of options.

[Completed] HTC One M8s won't boot

Hey guys,
I've got a problem and since I'm not an expert I've got into a dead end.
I was trying to root my HTC One M8s. I managed to unlock the bootloader, but when I tried to flash a custom recovery (TWRP 2.7.0.2) it went completely black. Since then only reactions it has are the red LED is on, if I put it on charge the turned off charge screen comes on. And if I try to hold the power button and volume down, after 10 seconds it goes black again, even the red LED, like it tries to reboot, but it after that it only goes back to the charging screen if it's on charge or only the red LED if it isn't. I can't install factory image, because the computer won't recognize the device.
Do you, guys have any suggestion or is it completely bricked?
Any answer is appreciated!

The PC didn't even recognized it, like nothing would be plugged-in.
But eventually, I found the solution. I share it, maybe it's gonna be useful for someone in the future.
I had to take the whole phone apart, which was quite an experience, considering the built of the phone. But there are some guides out there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJtVKlmEbcU
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/HTC+One+M8+Battery+Replacement/41650
Detach the battery, wait a couple seconds and then reattach it again, push the power button and it was like nothing happened. Except the battery was on 5% what was odd because I was trying to charge the whole previous night!
Anyway, it is a happy end!
Thanks for the advice, though.
Cheers!
