About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Flashing Instructions:
- Make sure you are on stock lollipop or a lollipop/marshmallow based custom rom
- Wipe system/data/dalvik cache/cache partition
- Flash the ROM
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- First boot will take a while...be patient, it will boot
- Enjoy!
The Rom will loop once on boot logo during first boot and then it will boot just fine so don't worry. It happens because of SuperSU (systemless root)

About the camera
1. Video recording setting in the default Camera app is set at 1080p which causes can't connect to camera error. Change it to 720p
2. This Roms comes with AOSP camera which is completely s**t on our device. Don't complain about it and use any other camera app

It will happen only when BT is turned on

I've using this ROM since yesterday, so here is my experience .....
Pros:
1) Capacitive (hard keys) button mapping for multiple functions has been brought back (included) which is huge surprise as most of Nougat does not have it for our device... thanks to Devs for working on this . Omni switch, On screen Nav bar is also here for multi-function activity and all normal Nougat Customization is present.
2) Launcher3 (kind of included pixel and wallpaper combined) added which works great.
And also new Alarm Clock and Calendar design looks good.
3) Very much smooth almost 300MB ram remains empty depending on how many apps running in the background,
No random shutdown or random reboots.
Cons:
1) Camera app is not so good ( the quality is not up to mark as of now ), I hope will be fixed/improved in future updates.
2) Bluetooth does not seems to be working properly ( which is just minor bug )
It's too early to comment on battery backup, seems okay now... have not noticed any sharp drain since yesterday.
Conclusion :
Best nougat so far in terms of added functionality and stability.
Go for it :good:

How can I do this from outside the app? I can't change the settings in the app because of the "can't connect to camera" error

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

The only reason you would need to install OOS first is if you're not on the latest firmware, and even then I believe someone packages the latest firmware so you can flash it in TWRP.
AWESOME ROM! THANKS @ZVNexus! Hands down it's smooth! :3
Thank you for maintaining OP3/T
I've been trying several Android 10 ROM since 2 months ago. First thing I notice, PA is smooooth
So far, I only have 1 issue. Since our device use hardware navigation key, it will be nice if there is a setting for that.
Swapping key, long press action, etc
Will you be keeping it maintained with monthly security updates?

That's something I'm working on, but is a lower priority. I have back as left by default because that's what OP does in stock, also Google for their Pixels.
At first sight the Rom feels very smooth, however Pulse notification doesn't work and for my taste it lacks on some customization options (status bar clock, fonts, HW keys menu and so on). I am very curious to look at the next steps.

Just tested Pulse, it works. Could you specify exactly what you mean? As for customization options I am actively working on porting the button customization. So far I have button backlight. Can't comment on fonts or status bar stuff though.
I want to give you some feedback for the ROM
1) Off screen gestures like draw V, O, >, < and || are missing.
2) Could you include an option to mute screenshot sound? It's very annoying to hear the sound everytime.
3) Button light, but I think that you will fix it soon
4) The charging text on lockscreen is very high compared to the two shortcut at the bottom.
You are probably aware of these, but I want to report anyway.
Thank you for this amazing rom and for maintain OP3.
Appreciate the efforts you made.
Up to my experience, both with ambient display on and off, and lift phone activated, by lifting the phone, or by double tapping the display, edge light doesn't show and display just wakes up. I've found no way to let the display show edge light. Thank you for your quick answer.

On statusbar, battery percentage font style is different than clock font style. Battery percentage has regular font style while clock has medium font style. I usually saw that battery percentage has medium font style like I saw on such as Lineageos. Could you please look into it? I wish that battery percentage has medium font style too. Thanks a lot.

thanks for your reply. I think you can check the ram usage from developer options, there should be able to acess a memory/memory usage panel from there. last thing, does multi window work, if so, do they stay even after opening another full screen one?
When installing i am getting Error 7.
Coming from Havoc OS Pie. Even changed the Recovery from TWRP to OrangeFox.
How do I solve this?
EDIT: After redownloading the file, it does get installed but then boots in to fastboot.
This ROM is very cool. It has the extra settings that I was just looking for. I just hope they keep updating it. Thanks for the effort
Not much customisation and features.
It is comparable with PE10

=============================

• based on latest stable sources
• october 2021 security patch
• improved system stability
• user interface enhancements
• GAaps included
You're among the very first developers to port android 12 so thank you very much for your efforts ,also are there any bugs I should be aware of before installing this rom?
So here's my experience after a couple of hours with your port.
I'll start with the bad and then the good stuff.
Bad:
1- there are frame drops when opening settings and when opening notification panel
2- When rotating, the animation seems to be too fast so it needs to be tweaked.
3- The haptic feedback is just too strong when typing that it makes me uncomfortable
4- The Bluetooth is not working (stuck on "turning on" and when I close the notification panel it goes back to off like it wasn't pressed at all)
Good:
1- the rom is quite smooth aside from the laggy animations I mentioned before.
2- The rom is almost bug free so I had a fun experience with it.
3- The battery life is really good, I wish I could still see screen on time numbers from settings like on previous android versions though but that's out of your hand.
also: which Gcam do you recommend for this rom? And is there a customization page in settings?
PS: Excited to see your coming works.
I'd Like to start with a thanks for creating this port
My experience after a couple of hours with your rom is similar to Kamikaze1336 but I found some extra bugs
Screen Recording- Whenever I take a recording and try to playback it doesn't playback rather it just sticks to a frame
Mobile data- Tho I was able to fix this easily in the mobile data setting I did notice some throttle and sometimes it doesn't just work ........... My Internet speed is really fast so I figured it isn't from the carrier
Bluetooth- It wouldn't just turn on so I guess that's a major bug to watch out for
Excluding all these bugs the port is just amazing as the whole ui is smooth, there's little to no frame drop, and the interface is perfect. It'll be captivating to see extra fixes to this rom and porting of other roms.. Thanks
Update*
Upon more experimentation I decided to check out how the ROM will cope after a factory reset and these are the things I noticed
Lag- There were multiple Frame drops as I continued to use this ROM
Apps - There was a multitude of seizures when opening Apps forcing me to reopen them over and over to ensure a working state and sometimes they just don't respond after some seconds
Bluetooth- This is a major bug that would be perfect if fixed .. just pointing it out
For now I'll port back to lineage OS 11 and wait for updates on this ROM ... Thanks again for the wonderful Port
any updates regarding this rom ?

Raghu is currently working on his private builds (you can access them on his telegram by donating to his project) and I don't think he will be updating this build soon.
News for everyone having bugs with the rom: Raghu has released a new kernel with the fixes on his SourceForge page.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/drg-sprout/files/Black_Caps-Edition/Black_caps-12.0-CLANG-FIH-SDM660-2018-20211117.zip/download
So what does this kernel do? well for me it fixed my bluetooth issues and the system feels more responsive and stable over all.
Hi!
I have some problem in latest build 12 with video players, like NewPipe , can't start play video, got message. " unsupported player" , or " player error "
I don't know where is problem, maybe missing some codec or in vendor stuff ?
Can someone help me?

We are very excited to announce the alpha of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12.
You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Notice
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Device-specific issues
You tell me.
There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.
Requirements
Make sure you are on 12.0.4 firmware before flashing. 12.5 and up is generally not recommended for any roms
Download
You can always get our Alpha builds from our Telegram Releases Channel (requires registration on telegram) or directly download them from here: POCO X3 Pro Download
Note: Custom kernels are NOT supported unless the kernel supports PA and GMS is included!

Is this riced build. The previous one was not riced right.
Banking apps claiming that the device is rooted, but it's not. (and it's not related to unlocked bootloader either because i never encountered it on any other ROM previously)
It's passing SafetyNet homever, weird.

Yes, i can confirm this, my banking app says that i am used an custom rom build. Rooted and installed universal safetynet fix resolved this problem.
Yeah i don't want to use Magisk tho, hopefully it's just a bug.

Same problem. Don't wanna use magisk. Fortnite refuses to load.
Devs reply in his telegram channel-
Foxtrot47 | Updates
Apps detecting root (without installing magisk obv) is likely due to build being Userdebug i didn't build user purposefully cuz some games like GRID was crashing on it. Will debug it and see

Yes everything works except for IR blaster. No gravity kernel also works as well. Great performance.

Blaster is actually detected by apps when i tested but jone of apps can use it. So it is only partially not working. How ghout touches on no gravity? Use mochi now and have no more but always looking for something new
Thank you
is there a chance for a full translation into Polish? there is a lot of text in the settings not translated into Polish. It's a pity, because the rom at the moment is definitely the best and runs very smoothly.
