I've got this phone as a gift
And I tried to update it to Nougat even from Xperia companion but there is no update
When I looked for CDA on xpericheck.com
i found my phone under "Commercial and Journalists" and there is no update for it :crying:

flash another MM rom, that one is pretty old. Flash any .30 Rom.

I flashed this rom to my US XZ to get the fingerprint working and then updated to Nougat right after by using Sony Xperia Companion.
I think it will work for you.

Since yesterday was released the first ftf i wanted to try flashing it through flashtool...
But. All i got is green stripes on my screen! I tried every single released ftf since yesterday but nothing.

Hey everyone !
I installed the Z5 S.T.Y.L.E rom , and i've noticed that the feature "Edit music info" in the Sony "Music" (aka Walkman) app is not there .
Maybe it already wasn't there in the previous updates .
However , could anyone tell me if this was one of the features that you lose with the DRM keys when unlocking your Bootloader ?
If not, could anyone tell me how to get it back , and give me the apk i need to move in the correct folder or something , maybe it was something that was removed in the Z5 style rom , since alot of features have been removed .

I got it via OTA even though I flashed the beta via ODIN. I signed to the beta program though ?

Works perfectly including signal
Why do you don't use firmware for G930F? It's the same and can be flashed without any issues on G930FD.

As the title says, I am unable to use Xperia Companion to do a software repair; it tells me to please try again later, but I have tried several times for days and I keep receiving the same message. I have no clue what the source of this particular problem is, but it is quite distressing. If anyone knows what I can do to solve this and be able to use Xperia Companion successfully for using software repair, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I don't know what an unlock bootloader is. I just flashed for the first time out of necessity. You can't use the data whole on call on US firmware of the Sony Xperia 5 IV, so I had to flash European firmware, but I'm wanting to use Xperia Companion to do software repair so that I can receive OTA updates. I should have probably expressed my intentions earlier, I apologize. Will EMMA help with my problem? I've never used it before.
