Boot your Android in safe mode.
If your Android is not restarting after booting in safe mode then their is third party app that causing random reboots.
Find and remove that app and see problem resolved or not.

Also try enabling developer options and getting the LogCat error-logging. It might be possible that something got corrupted and is causing a lockdown. Try filtering the log for Intent.ACTION_REBOOT maybe.

You can use an app called ALogcat from the Playstore, it will capture logs for you.

[Q] Xperia E1 Crashing Randomly

Hey guys!
Long time lurker here decided to post something because I wasn't getting much help elsewhere. Also since E1 doesn't have a sub-forum I guessed this would be the place to create the thread.
So the problem with my E1 is that is reboots absolutely randomly for no reason at all - even when I'm not using my phone or doing anything that's resource/hardware intensive.
Have any other E1 user been having this problem? Any ideas what could be causing the problem?
I tried contacting Sony Support but all they could tell me was general stuff like don't stress your phone and install fewer apps on it but that doesn't actually help. So... any ideas?

There is not much you can do actually.
Probably a kernel fault.
Switch to another firmware maybe?
But ummm....

I'm sure that requires the phone to be rooted. And the E1 doesn't have a working root till now at the moment AFAIK. Also am on the latest firmware build from Sony - 20.0.A.1.21 - so I can't go higher than that...

Removing apps won't help.
but you will need a kernel to flash[which requires unlocked bootloader]
As far as I know, random reboots are caused by kernel only.
Btw,you can disable all the unwanted apps. Might help a bit.
Till you get root, only thing you can do is keep messaging sony regarding this.
Also, don't forget to ask them whether you'll be getting updates.
Oh well...

*sigh* I suppose that's all I can do then. I've tried disabling apps and uninstalling unnecessary ones when Sony Support suggested it. Didn't help. Random reboots still occur. I wonder if I'm the only E1 user with this problem or are there others too?

Pm any admin/or a moderator.
Chances are high that it'll be included in this section only.
And it should be actually,it's xE's successor, plus is not too high end to get a new forum.
I'll pm a moderator as well.

I don't really think that will help.
Because repair should be done when there's damage.
And Xperia E1 has no root,so technically no fiddling with system and hence no damage?
Been there done that

No... I've tried that... and also factory resetting and hard resetting... Uninstalling everything etc etc. Device still randomly reboots. On some days it will run fine 2 days straight and then on some days it'll restart 3 times at the very least.

Definite kernel problem. Roll back to previous update if it helps? ( if you have it, BTW I read somewhere, e1 will be getting 4.4.2 update )

Yes it will. But knowing Sony and the fact that the E1 is quite the budget phone, I doubt updating it to 4.4.2 is at the top of Sony's priority list.
I'm not expecting one until late June or July at the earliest.

Mine has been doing this as well and clear cache or reinstalling doesn't help. Here is to hoping 4.4.4 fixes this issue or Google updates the Play Services app again...

ART here, guess I could try switching back again to see what happens
ART is known to cause this problem with Google Play Services. Hopefully it is fixed in the new update that we should be getting shortly.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 With Whatsapp

Hi,
Recently I tried installing the Cyanogenmod using 4 different versions. The first one by the installer given by the website and the next 3 using ClockWorkMod app with the last 3 snapshot versions starting from the 16 Sept one and moving downwards.
All installations failed to connect to WhatsApp when I am on mobile network even though I can still surf the internet on my web browser and access Play Store. Once I am connected back to wifi, the WhatsApp will be working again.
Anyone experiences this and have a solution?
Thanks!
Looks like the problem is with your network provider rather than the Rom itself ..
See if whatsapp works on other ROMs for you like purity or slim. I use lots of ROMs and have never had a problem with whatsapp

Thanks for your reply. However, when I install back the stock android, I am able to use my WhatsApp as per normal using LTE connection.
Hope this clarifies the situation.

Error message on Lollipop

Hi guys. I just updated my Nexus 5 to Lollipop 2 days ago, and this message keeps showing every once in a while, without any reason, it just appears for few seconds and disappears again, and then it shows up later again. It's not affecting my phone in any way, but it's bothering me. Can anyone explain what it means? I would appreciate it.
Regards.

It's basically developer speak for "Lollipop sucks and was rushed to market. Please revert to 4.4.4."
It is from some app u have installed.
Check for recently installed/ updated apps to find the root cause
Or try booting in safe mode and see..
Does battery doctor work?

Help!! OnePlus 2 hardware keys are not working!

Problem begins from Resurrection remix
June build 2017
I was enjoying the latest RR june build rom and was working fine with no bugs at all. Than i added my fingerprint and used it with it. I wanted to Flash AOSP extended rom June build, so i disabled finger print lock but finger print was saved in the device. I flashed(first time dirty flashed after facing problems tried clean flashed )AOSP Extended June build on the device. Than After flashing, All my(navigation keys only) hardware keys stopped working and was ghost touching automatically with vibration. So somehow i managed to fix it by using software only keys.
If i install any lollipop huilds, hardware keys are working again but home button can't seem to work ,nor the fingerprint scanner.
Conclusion : hardware keys (finger print scanner, back and recent keys) Can't seem to work and I don't think it's hardware problem.
Need a Fix ASAP!:crying: Glad , if Any one could help. Highly Appreciated.
Thanks for the time and consideration.

Temporary fix : Thanks YouTuber "jerryrigseverything" he has tutorials of repairing phones , teardown... amazing content must check out.
I found video of OnePlus 2 teardown and i watched and i got idea while watching why not i should tear my phone and unplug hardware keys and it works now i can flash any roms without any ghost touches but sadly ican only use on screen keys not hw keys ...very soon im going to buy hardware keys and home button.
