I'm trying to understand what you are asking.
Are saying that when you originally had the Indian firmware you were not getting OTA updates but when the UAE firmware was installed you were getting OTA updates but when you reinstalled the Indian firmware you stopped getting updates?
If that is what you are asking then the answer is the Indian firmware won't get OTA update for the UAE firmware, it doesn't work like that. Indian firmware can only receive OTA updates for Indian firmware.

No i mean to say that i was previously also getting OTA updates in Indian version. Amd then when the shopkeeper installed UAE firmware i was still also getting OTA updates but then when i downloaded Indian firmware and flashed it OTA updates stopped

If the Indian firmware you installed is the newest version available then there probably aren't any OTA updates to install.

Hi guys,
Received my Sensation a few days ago, purchased in the UK where I live. It seems to be an Asian version as the Language selection came up with English (Singapore). I have various options for Thai keyboard, Vietnamese IME etc....
No current issues with the phone and works fine with English (Singapore) language selected.
Question I have is will this effect any OTA updates and am I likely to come across issues or miss out on certain features etc... Being in the UK will the next OTA update be the full UK version or will I have to root the phone to get the official UK rom on it. Would there be any advantages to this....? Will I still receive updates here even though it is an Asian version. In essence what are the advantages/disadvantages if any as I can still return the phone for a refund and get hold of a UK/European version?
Thanks!
Where did you get it from? You'll have to wait on updates for that version but other than that it should be OK

From purelygadgets. So would I be better off returning it and getting the official UK/EU version? Do updates normally come out the same time world wide and how do they differ across the regions?
*OTA Update of the device based on CID >>> OTA update your version of HTC's Asia
*Because of this, that when we have Ship S-off (Super CID), you can not update via OTA anymore

Thanks, so hoping that there will be a OTA or manual S-off update I can then download and flash the UK rom? Do I have this right?

Sorry for my ignorance, does this mean that the OTA update would be based on my carrier and so I would receive the UK update even though I have the Asian Rom on it now?

CID its security code of the original version rom, it protection device for no other rom upgrade patches. So the original version of your device its Asia >>> only upgrades OTA Asia version even if you are in any country and any carrier
Vietnamese language
Hi ancola,
I've just recently updated my phone to Official ICS 4.03 on Vodafone network in Australia. The only language option I can see now is English. Any idea how to install Vietnamese on the phone?
Thanks,
lang_tu_syd
EDIT: On Oreo now.
EDIT:
Is you're stock at an "old" version and the "normal" way of updating via OTA dosn't work try this:
Go to system update setting,
Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select download latest full package.
That should give you the latest Nougat updates.
For Oreo: Try to use HiSuite
Not all countries receive updates at the same time. Even not all phones in the same country.
If you have automatic update enable you'll receive a notification.
Hope so your model belong to the UK (Not sure). If it is UK model, you will get the update within the first batch of release.
If you belong to any other region it takes time. But you will get it for sure.
Depends on the sponsors in your region, your carrier...

No, my model don't "belong" to the UK. I live in Denmark and bought the phone in Denmark.
Don't know if you mean UK model as in European model.
I bought the phone off-contract (it's not branded it anything), so it's not depending on any carrier.
Well I as have understood it, there is no UK version, only a European version (for Europe).
I have the same model and got the b120 update a few days after it was reported here (i guess most here have the US model). The b150 seems to take longer though

Strange? I received and installed B160 and phone info reports I'm on android 6.0
I have model frd al10
Does this mean higher ota version number not necessarily higher version of Android?
Seems like there are 3 versions (regions) of Honor 8.
EU, US and Chinese versions. (32 and 64 gb)
Anyone knows or can confirm which models have what versions of Android, as the latest available as we speak?
Seems like the EU (FRD-L09/AL19) version is running Android 6.0 - B120 (unbranded - not carrier depending)

All are running in 6.0 update. However some region would have got 6.0.1 update. Some regions would have not got it.
Always there will be one incremental update difference (maximum) between the regions. As all regions wont get the update in the same time.
Ok, let me put it this way: Has anyone with the FRD-L09 model received the B150/6.0.1 update yet?
B141 is out of the box. B150 is slowly being distributed still.
I don't think Asian and EU/US release codes are the same.
India 32GB = FRD-L02 firmware so there's more than 3 regional firmware types
The latest firmware for L09C432 is B131 and that is the EU region, L09C636 is Asia, L09C185 is Africa/Middle East, US is L04, India is L02.
Is not just the modell like L09 that says where your phone is from, is the Cust, like C432, C636, C185, then there is Branded phones like C02 is Vodafone, C55 is TIM Italy and so on....
So for your version if u are from Denmark u should have C432 the latest is B131.
Then we have China modells like AL10 and DL00, C10....
U have a thread with latest firmware here.

It might be a Beta version. Wait for the bugs to get fixed and get a stable update as OTA
If you need now, you can update manually.

I've searched about a lot but I haven't found a straight answer so if anyone can give me a hand it would be highly appreciated.
I have a G930FD which originally had a XSG (United Arab Emirates) firmware. As soon as the first BETA Nougat firmware was available I sideloaded it, and the same happened with the first offical Nougat release, CSC BTU.
A couple of days later, the official Nougat firmware from my original CSC (XSG) was released, but I already had flashed the BTU version so I didn't download it.
My question is, having changed my CSC from XSG to BTU, will I recieve future OTA updates? I understand it won't be the case because the Firmware CSC and the IMEI (or any other form of ID on the phone) do not match on Samsung's records. All my past phones had TTT CSC which had terrible waiting times for updates so I always sideloaded new firmware on them, but now my S7 seems to be receiving OTA a lot sooner.
Will I gain access to OTA by flashing the XSG firmware?
Thanks a lot for your time.
Anyone??

Whatever your CSC is, they are the OTA updates you will receive, so if it is currently BTU, you will receive BTU OTA updates so long as it remains stock / official (Not rooted or other custom)
Thanks for your reply. I actually changed the CSC to BTU when I installed the Nougat Beta firmware, and when the final version was released I didn't receive the OTA Update, so I thought I wasn't going to receive any.

Not sure it has released for the FD yet, just F
Afaik you can flash F firmware on FD though, so you could flash the final Nougat 7 G930F firmware with ODIN and continue to receive OTA updates for the F model
DualSIM still works too from what I understand

That's most likely the reason, I hadn't take into account the fact that my S7 is FD, not F. I'm pretty sure BTU doesn't have a FD model, which is mostly reserved for the asian and eastern market. I might need to search for the firmware released specifically for the FD in order to recieve OTA updates. I'll give it a try with the XSG Nougat available on sammobile even when it is labeled as a F firmware. FD version doesn't get that much attention regarding the flashable firmware files on the sites I usually visit.
I'll wait for the February security patch OTA and see what happens.
Firmware for the F version works 100% on the FD by the way, tested on both Beta and Final Nougat versions.
Thanks for your time mate.

Thanks a lot, work on mine, with this : H86030b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0307.kdz
My H860 was HK modlème first, but when i puted Android N, mooved on indian FW
I tried to register an account in LG-firmwares to confirm if using an indian Oreo update (the 0307 kdz file) will work on my nougat H86020i. Unfortunately, the activation link for the account I have not yet received in my email so I could not post my question there.
Its a Philippine version and in the same list, it only has up to nougat there... One poster did say you can use an Oreo update if the 3 letters after the word OPEN in the file for your region is the same as the file you wanted to download but I wanted to point out was the one for the indian Oreo is H86030b instead of what he posted as H86020b... might have been a typo error but there is no such thing as a H86020b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_0P_0307.kdz file but there is that H86030b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_0P_0307.kdz file for the indian Oreo update and I believe that this is the correct file he is referring to.
You guys think H86020i_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0822.kdz update to H86030b_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_0P_0307.kdz will work on my H86020i?

If you are still unaware, yes you can use another firmware for your H860. Sucks that the Philippine H860 does not have the Oreo Update. I used the SEA Firmware instead and it works fine. Just ignore the NTCODE warnings every reboot of your phone.
