Running Nougat beta on Sprint.
Whenever I open a weblink within an app (such as reddit, Google Search/Now, Gmail) the link opens within the app, but as soon as it's done loading my phone switches to Chrome -- but does NOT open the link in Chrome.
To see the page I have to switch back to the original app.
This is driving me nuts.
Is there a fix for this? I tried clearing Chrome defaults, disabling/re-enabling Chrome, uninstalling Chrome updates. No dice.

I have a problem with my G1: whenever I switch to another app the first one automatically closes. For example when I'm surfing with Opera Mini and open another app Opera closes and I have to open the web site again. The same with Browser/Steel. Whenever I open another app the site I was surfing on reloads (luckily these Browsers remember the web site you were on).
I'm using the latest version of CM (4.2.10).
Anyone has an idea of how to fix that?
Samsung S4, Verizon, Android 4.2.2, JDq39.GoogleEdition.I545VRUAMDK
On Wifi, everything works as expected. The problem is when I'm connected to a mobile network.
Problem: I'm only able to access *google.com* sites!
When I try anything else (www.xda-developers.com, www.reddit.com, www.theoatmeal.com, etc) I get a "This webpage is not available" message from Chrome or "Web Page Not Available" from Dolphin.
I cannot access Google Voice. I cannot access Google Play.
What is working:
- Google search results show up, but when I click on the web pages, they don't load
- Google Apps (gmail, calendar, etc work fine)
- Google's cached pages
- I can make and receive phone calls
I've tried rebooting, and installing a new browser (Dolphin) in case of a settings issue.
Any solutions? Thanks!

Tried that. The problem isn't loading search results (*google.com works fine). The problem is loading webpages from the search results and even when typed manually in the address bar.
In addition to *google.com, *android.com and *youtube.com pages also load properly. Youtube app works. Google Maps works. Gmail app works. Google Play and Google+ apps do not. Uber, Twitter and my bank apps do not.
When I load those that don't work, messages say there's a data connection issue. But, that's not the case, as some of the Google apps seem to function.
I have restarted the phone.
Do you have the correct APNs installed in your phone?
Hi,
I have a security related question about CM13 stock Browser app. I opened my Gmail login session detail page today, and I saw several logs indicating activity from the stock Browser app, even though I have never ever opened/used the app since installing CM13 a month ago. I only regularly use Chrome app which registers in the logs as "Browser (Chrome)", not just "Browser". The IP logged are the same, my device's, for all activities on the log. It looked like the Browser app was connecting to my Google account automatically and periodically, so I disabled the Browser app from the Settings app, and I noticed "Browser" sessions stopped logging. My app/phone usage is minimal with no promiscuous downloads, and the device is well maintained. The possibility of malware from an outside source is minimal. Sophos and Malwarebytes did not detect any known malware. I downloaded CM from the official CM wiki page, and updated using the CyanogenMod Update in Settings. I downloaded Gapps package from the official Open Gapps website.
Did anyone notice "Browser" sessions in your Gmail login session detail page, using CM13 nightlies? Is it a behavior by design? Or is my Browser app misbehaving or is it being malicious?
Is there any way to use Webview in Google Now Search, for opening links in results. It'll be better than switching to Chrome or any other browsers everytime to open a link.
Google App's version 5.10 has option to open links in app, check in settings..
I'm using Lightning Browser from F-Droid as my default browser and any time I try and download a file, whether from a webpage or even Google Drive app, I get a Download Failed message.
I have cleared data storage from the Download manager app, factory reset the phone, removed and reinstalled Lightning Browser...but nothing seems to help.
If I login to my Google Drive from within Chrome app, or from webpages within Chrome app, then those files download okay.
Anyone else had this happen to them and any suggestions to get downloads working from other sources besides Chrome app?
Thanks.

Check the app settings, and see if it has all the rights to store a file.
