I will get my hands on yotaphone 2 tomorrow. I am from India. Please tell me, is it necessary to flash the device. Why we flash the device? Is it necessary to flash the device to work in Indian 3G / LTE frequency ?

Greetings and welcome to xda. When users talk about flashing it is usually to put a custom operating system on it or to unlock the root files . The frequency bands are usually set by the manufacture and can not be altered as a rule. There is a dedicate forum for your device, why not make an account and ask anything you want to know here

Hey, its very simple to root zte N919D. The most simplest method is by using framaroot available on xda. doenload the latest version and install in on your phone. After installing it open the app and you'll see an option saying install superuser. Select that and below that you'll have two options or three. Select anyone. if fails do not panic and simply try the next one. One of them will show you a pop up saying Success . after that reboot your phone and voila. Your phone is rooted
I rooted and unlocked my Sprint Note 3 so I could use it with T-Mobile. To unlock the phone I had to flash N900PVPUBMI3 modem using the steps found here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593305
I am travelling through Europe and I have very unstable data, and I think it is because of the modem. I am running AICP 5.1.1 lollipop ROM, and I want to know what modem I should flash. I believe the modem file needs to be paired to the service provider, not the phone model, but I am not sure.
Any help determining what modem I should flash will be greatly appreciated!

Hello there! Welcome to XDA!
There is no Forum for your device on XDA...
However your Canadian N910W8 is equivalent to the TMobile N910T... so...
First register an XDA account, then go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development
Follow instructions... and you will be able to use N910T roms on your N910W8... (use the Data Fix files)

Take care with this one, it's still a work in progress, and may not do what you are looking to. If you run into problems (make sure you have seriously backed up first), can ask for help in that thread (once you have an XDA account to be able to post there).

Not that I know of, sorry. Try asking for experiences in that tread, also, to see if the bands you are looking for is something attainable with the hack.

Greetings and welcome to xda. AFAIK there is no custom rom for your device due to the lack of source code, it is though quite easy to add google playstore and services to your device.
