[Completed] external sd card auto dismounts after swiping internal memory with external - XDA Assist

i am using micromax canvas juice A177. i have rooted my phone. my phone's apps installation memory is 1.3gb and internal memory for data (i.e. game data, obb, songs, videos etc.) is 703mb only. i have 16gb memory card. i have partitioned the card; 2gb as ext4 for installing apps by Link2sd and the rest as FAT32 for songs, videos etc. then i swiped the internal memory (sdcard0) with external memory (sdcard1) by editing vold.fstab file in etc folder. after that one problem started, that is sometimes my phone shows a msg that "external sd dismounts , do u want to change default write to disk?" it mostly occurs when i connect my phone to net (via wifi or data). after this msg all apps just becomes like they are not installed, they just say "unfortunately the app has stopped working". then i have to reboot my phone to make ok all the things. so please help me by giving any permanent solution for this problem. thank you.

Hi there and welcome to Assist,

Unable to Install app on external sd card

Hi,
I am using XOLO Q700 and I am unable to install apps on external sd card and changed the default write disk to storage, same problem it automatically installing in the internal storage.
already my internal storage is full and unable to install any apps or update apps.
I researched in the internet heard about andoroid sdk and told to with some commands but that failed.
and some saying rooting is required.
and I want install apps on external sd card without rooting is it possible?
or can I move the game data into external sd card link that data to the app.
please help!!!!!!!!!
I am using DirectoryBind - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
DirectoryBind just creates the simlink that poins from intrenal SD directory to extSD.
Gama data are sometimes very huge, so it's good idea to move them to extSD (and simlink them with DirectoryBind to maintain functionality of those games).
You need ROOT to use DirectoryBind.

[Q] Fastnote cannot write on SD card & ColorNote stopped backing up also on SD card

[Q] Fastnote cannot write on SD card & ColorNote stopped backing up also on SD card
Good day!
I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 and has been playing with note-taking apps Fastnote and Colornote.
Before, ColorNote writes its local backup to both internal and SD card memory (as you can also see on the backup settings it has both icons). But suddenly it stopped backing up on SD card, though it still backs up on internal memery.
Also this happened after I tried changing Fastnote's storage destination from internal to SD card, which while it has been successfully changed, it cannot write note to that new destination (SD card), but it does well on the internal memory.
What do you think guys? Any response will be greatly appreciated.

KITKAT don't support r/w on external SD card due to security, but lollipop will support it again,,
Kitkat supports it, but only to the app's data folder. App devs need to update to support kitkat

Well the strange thing is that it "stopped", meaning it (Color Note) did wrote its backup on the SD card before..

Could someone explain why my phone is not utilising its device storage?

As you can see in the attachment, it is very problematic for me, I do not understand why I am not able to use the device storage and why everything that I download goes to internal storage, is my device storage actually just RAM?? It makes installing apps nearly impossible and I keep getting constant reminders that I have low memory

Use Total Commander as file manager. It will give you a better overview
Your apps are stored on the internal storage. Thats only about 1GB. Internal and external SD CARD can not be used to install apps on it. For using SD CARD to store apps use Link2SD. For using Link2SD you will have to spli8t one of your sc cards. Must beformated as followed:
1. partition Fat32
2. partition Ext4
Both partitions must be primary. Use Partition Wizard to prepare your sd card.
