Flash FTF using Flashtool and FSC Script, work? - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Hello friends, I have compiled a FTF (CE1) and the flashtool program indicated that I found an FSC SCRIPT and if I wanted to add it.
As I do not have the XZ I wanted to ask if it is possible to flash nougat using flashtool and FSC Script.
Flashtool create FTF:
Adding F8331_39.2.A.0.327.fsc to the bundle as F8331_39.2.A.0.327.fsc

after instalations-no change! kernel 3.0.8 acceleration-no
@wergon This is ROM independent stuff. @c4cyro I'll do it when I have time (quite soon) @zeetwo-raj Thanks!
This is for JLO
This updater-script is from fxp240 for JLO, thanks ^^
@c4cyro Looks like this installer is universal as the location of kernel is the same: mmcblk0p3 (the same as this and FXP tipo one!) WARNING: Make sure you change kernel before trying it out (as the kernel is Tipo - Vengeance) or else you'll probably end up flashing a whole stock firmware with complete loss of data a mesona kernel with fastboot .
Now I just need a Xperia E (Single and Dual also) FXP Updater-Script to make sure this is universal for devices in this section though.
you mean if i want to flash kernel "x.img" then i have to first remove the boot.img from this zip, place the x.img into this, and then flash the zip in cwm. right?
But this is useless... everyone can just flash kernel using flashtool or console
^ i think its handy when you dont have pc , fastboot drivers etc installd.
To use this tool you need unlocked BL, to unlock BL you need fastboot drivers so you are wrong.
An another try of giving sth people that they don't realy need.

Try and learn to give respect to developers, this is not a useless tool.
What if you have an unlock bootloader and now have 2 or 3 kernels to test out without a PC? It can be achieved with this.
What if you are a kernel developer and want to test out many builds of your kernel?
Once unlocked remains unlocked you don't have to reunlock bootloader again and again.
Just curious to know is it possible to replace boot.img in mobile? Any app to do that?
Sent from my Xperia Tipo
If you make a file or edit a updater script add this it will flash boot.img
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p3");

Flashable Zip - D2305 KitKat Rooted

Hi guys
I'm a pretty noob on this, but I will make my best on this guide. It's a flashable zip for Kitkat Rooted Rom on Xperia M2 D2305 model.
Things you need:
1. Bootloader unlocked
2. Flashtool by Androxyde
3. An Kitkat FTF file for D2305 (download the 18.3.A.0.31 PT. Sony Indonesia ID on this thread - credits to DavidMKD)
4. The kernel for KK D2305 on this thread (credits to lozohcum)
5. This flashable zip (credits to zxz0O0 for making this guide for the tool)
Follow this steps:
1. Unlock the bootloader obviously (very easy on flashtool, just click BLU)
2. Flash the FTF File via Flashtool (click the lightning and select Flashmode then the FTF file)
3. Flash the kernel via Flashtool (click the lightning and select Fastboot mode then select kernel to flash, click all files and the img kk file)
4. Boot your device on recovery (turn it on and press volume down many times when you see the Sony logo)
5. Select install zip on CWM and flash the zip D2305 Kitkat Root.zip
6. Reebot the device and enjoy.
To fix the mount system, follow this thread. Credits to Naufal Sidik
If you still have the mount system problem, flash the kernel again, reboot the recovery and select reboot system and fix the root.
I hope it works for all. I'm not an expert but you can ask me anything, I'll try to help.

If MIUI, then there's a newer version on MIUI pro.
You can back up boot image as @pryerlee said or via Flashify. For META-INF, we can take it from Elephone (as it's newer Android version so might be different) and just modify some lines (like the partition id's or the getprop lines at the beginning).
@n_s218 thank you, works great! This might be the beginning of custom ROMs for this device :victory:

1. most of file empty (look at with hex editor) actually ~8 mb
2.boot partition backup file(boot.img) you must rename boot.elf and extract with flashtool elf extractor . you will get two file : boot.elf.0 = kernel , boot.elf.1=ramdisk
Thanks man...

yes. right.
also you can boot.sin in ftf file ectract with flashtool sin editor
So I've tried to port Euphoria OS from P6000 using this guide.
I've done the ROM part, the updater script was also fine, but I've failed to port kernel: tried both tools mentioned there, Michfood's tool gave error for p6000 boot IMG, carliv's for both.
I've tried to flash the ROM with stock boot IMG, but with it the phone shuts down after Sony logo.
BTW I've backed up stock boot IMG via TWRP, but this shouldn't matter imo.
So can anyone help me with kernel?
EDIT: I'll try if the kernel in MIUI gives error too.
EDIT2: yes, same... Carliv's kitchen says unsupported archive format for ramdisk, Michfood's says something about that end offset is lower than start...
EDIT3: found this alternative for stock boot IMG. Still no solution for p6000 one
EDIT4: successfully decompiled P6000 kernel via Carliv's kitchen 1.0, by choosing regular Android (not mtk) mode. So now both kernels are decompiled but via different tool, so the output is not the same... Still didn't try the tool from EDIT3, it might be the solution.
EDIT5: I have no idea how to use tool from EDIT3 Now I'm downloading ftf, will see if I can do sth... Also I'll try this other tutorial for 64bit.

Where should I get a PAC file
Don't have it in the links there
I think at least knowing brand / model of your device is needed to start a related Google search.
@jwoegerbauer
And cannot be pumped without a PAC file?
If device's Android is rooted and if ADB is enabled then you can dd the whole /dev/block/mmcblk0 what includes all partitions of Android device's internal storage memory.
