Maybe iOS resembling themes. But "completely iOS" is impossible.
i did once ios for moto and xperia ported from mediatek clone iphones . it just theming the apps and frameware
put since mediatek base is still 4.4 so it cant be ported to 6 or 5.1 .

Dude are you kidding?
Honor has abandoned our device long ago many of the users are even stuck with Kitkat version.(As the MM update is not available through OTA in some regions but manual update possible)
Even similar device P8 lite with 2 years updates guaranteed wont get Nougat official update.
Dont keep hope for Official Nougat update just move on.
If you really wish to have Nougat builds on your device try customs Roms from P8 Lite thread.
PS: Don't bother the devs as the device is not officially supported by them , you can use most of the features but few bugs are present for Nougat builds but MM builds works fine .

you can try nougat from LineageOS but it has bugs.

Same chipset doesnt mean we can install ROMs vice versa .
There are also some other factors will are required in order to do so.
I have no idea regarding honor 8 and mate 8

Mist , we can port roms from same chipset . If all specs are similar we can flash its roms on one anothers
Yes if specs are same we can but if they arent you have to make some complex ports thats what I meant.
Well , complex part mean u have to edit full framework. Editing many files like even settings dialer system ui . Omg thats harder than building a rom from source

Yeah .. we can even port for a fully working wrong but that will be pretty hard.
Devs like surdu,Xepeleato,olddroid are finding it difficult for this device without sources so its out of my capability.So no hope for me.
Its hard to build a rom without kernel sources. But a rom can be build using prebuild kernel if u may not know.
Before honor released kernel sources , surdu build cm14.1 using stock kernel.

Is it so hard to make the custom 7.0 rom for this model (porting rom from mate 8, 9, P9 etc). I'm not the developer, but i now the basics. I think that is possible. My previous android phones (SE Xperia X10i, Lenovo K900 and K920) had zero official support, but great custom rooms.

OpenKirin team (https://github.com/OpenKirin) has been working on bringing custom roms to HiSi 3630+ devices, but since the P8Max (DAVince) is a niche device, no one was interested in porting.
You can always reach out to them if you're interested in helping out.

I was searching for stock Android Pie with EMUI features and EMUI Camera, but I failed finding one. So, it would be cool to backport EMUI 9 to have all of the cool Huawei features at the exact same place where we got used to them. I don't know how it works, but if EMUI is an open-source Android version, please backport it!

EMUI is closed source. They only released something (i guess but don't know) for modding some time ago but definitely NOT opensource

Use Xperiafirm in Flashtool. Android 8.1 maybe, 9 is future wishful thinking. Use Google or XDA Search ...
As far as I know, Sony will not provide Oreo for their Z5 Series

Sony has taken support from this device. 8.1 or later will not come.
It's too early to talk to the developer.
