Hello everyone,
I am brand new here and I have been searching for a solution to my current problem for over half a day now with no luck, and I'm hoping you guys could give me a definitive solution.
I am currently using a LGL22C (LG Power) Tracfone and I've come across a boot loop problem.
During the boot screen with the LG logo, I am presented with the following at the top left of the screen:
ERROR : boot certification verify
[450] ---------------------------------------------------------------
[450]
[450] Secure boot Error!
[450] Cause : boot certification verify
[450]
[450] ---------------------------------------------------------------
(Note: The boot loop continously restarts my phone while having 450 changing into 440 and vice-versa from time to time)
My phone was rooted via Kingroot and I've had it rooted for a little over 2 months. My phone is now in a bootloop due to the installation of Magisk v9. I accidentally installed it using Magisk Manager v2.1, which updated and installed everything that is "Magisk", which then prompt me to restart (which I did), and I'm now in this dilemma.
Again, I have searched for a solution for half a day and I did find some solutions that I thought would work, but unfortunately my phone can't:
1. Connect to my PC (No matter what I do, like update drivers)
2. LG Mobile Support Tool cannot detect nor support L22C model in its listing.
3. Doesn't have Emergency Mode, Download Mode, or Recovery Mode.
My phone CAN in fact go to Factory Reset, but that doesn't do anything in terms of solving my problem.
PLEASE I hope you can assist me. I am truly in a desperate situation.
Thank you!
UPDATE: I just tried to move my number to a different phone (LG Optimus Fuel) which I know that works for the time being. I deactivated it, added my other phone to the plan, but now it's affecting my other phone! I can somehow manage to get it to the Main Screen, but I can't uninstall anything, nor can I use the Phone app, because it states that my Contacts have stopped working (along with several other applications). My other phone has never done this before, nor did it have issues, but it started as soon as I tried to reactivate my number from my LG Power.
Sorry, this phone does not have any sort of recovery options if you trash the firmware. I am also the proud owner of a brick. I've ordered a replacement motherboard from eBay ($15) to perform a brain transplant, and then I'll have to start over.

Greetings.
I have LG L4 (E440), and recently it got in Boot Loop (after I installed some programs it just turned off, and whenever i try to turn it on, it just shows LG Logo, then LG Animation and starts just repeating animation). At first I was quite confused because I didn't know how to enter download mode (you have to hold both + and -). I thought that was the only problem i was to encounter, but i was wrong.
- I first downloaded LG Support Tool, updated drivers (a lots of them), and went into update mode. Everything seemed OK, but at third step (Software Upgrade), program would stop at 5% and it would give me message like "Disconnect, Remove Battery, Connect, Retry". I tried all of that multiple times, and it stopped at 5% every single time.
- Then i decided to download LG Flash Tool 2014. I took 5 Firmwares (V10E, V10F, V10B, V10C, V10D) and each one of them failed at 5% (one of them failed on 3%). I tried both 3GQCT and CDMA, and all phone modes (EMERGENCY, DIAG, CS_EMERGENCY). None of those worked.
Each time Update stopped at 5% it was because of -
drivers\mstrgen.sys file search fail.
(log is in attachment)
Looks like this driver is missing, or being corrupted. I found out that it comes with MCCI Firmware Update Driver for MTK, but the only one i could find on Internet is giving me "Install Fail" each time i run installation.
I had not as nearly as much problems unbricking LG P970, and i need this phone unbricked fast but i'm all out of solutions Any help would be appreciated!
Hey all, new guy here with a really frustrating problem.
I have a nexus 5 that I was preparing to hand down to my wife. I had transfered everything over to my new phone, and initiated a factory reset. It rebooted to the "erasing" screen, and sat there for about 20 minutes, before switching to the dead android screen (w/ red triangle.) I thought that was odd, did some searching, and tried the recovery mode from the bootloader. That produced the same results. So now I'm stuck.
From the boot loader I can access the following options:
Start -> Erases for ~20 minutes, then dead android
Restart Bootloader -> Screen goes blank, phone vibrates, and then back to the bootloader screen
Recovery Mode -> Erases for ~20 minutes, then dead android
Power off -> turns off the phone
I called Google, and the tech support hadn't heard of anything like this. Because it's almost two years old, he transferred me to LG's tech support, who basically said find a local repair shop, or they could RMA it for an unknown cost. I called my local repair shop, and they didn't think they could help.
I'm pretty sure the phone is bricked at this point, which is frustrating, because it was running stock android - completely unmodified. I think I might have rooted it once, months ago, but I can't imagine that that would have caused this issue. I had even received and installed Marshmallow OTA, and it was running perfectly.
Anyway, I'm hoping (but not expecting) someone on here might have a brilliant idea, or some program I might be able to use on the PC to regain access to my device.
Literally the only information I can provide about the phone at this point in time is as follows:
Product_Name - hammerhead
Variant - hammerhead D820(H) 32GB
HW Version - rev_11
Bootloader Version - HHZ12k
Baseband Version - H8974A-2.0.50.2.27
Carrier Info - None
Serial Number - 047....
Signing - Production
Sercure Boot - Enabled
Lock State - Unlocked
Thanks,
Ian
Update
So I followed the tutorial on flashing your device with the stock rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701) and it appears to have done... something. Not sure what yet.
I was able to get through the tutorial, and flash all the images onto the phone. I got to the following step:
★After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons.
And it went back to the erasing screen. I thought that I was still screwed, so I went back to the fastboot screen. Then I decided what the hell, I might as well let it officially die again, instead of just assuming it would.
I let it do it's thing, and it got through "Erasing", only for it to restart and BOOT! YAY! I was worried when it got to the 4 dots, as I thought maybe it was going to get stuck in a bootloop there, but it just started up the welcome screen. So hopefully it's good to go!
I'm glad that you got it working again. Best way to recover a bricked phone is by installing a factory image, just like you did.
Hello
I am new to working on these phones so I apologize in advance if I don't properly state any processes or terms correctly.
I have a stock non modded Verizon LGG3 VS985 that experienced problems with WiFi and Bluetooth not working and significant battery drain. This happened right after a recent update to marshmallow. I tried cache clearing, safe mode, hard reset and nothing solved the problem. I decided I wanted to take the phone back to factory condition. I started with the LG flash tool that uses the .tot and a .dll. I ran the flash and when the program got to approx. 80%(at checking mini os phase of the flash) the phone began to reboot and only got as far as the LG logo and after about 2 min of the phone trying to reboot the flash program said fail, usb connect or something like that. At this point the phone will only start and go into a loop that includes the vibrate and the LG logo. and that will cycle until I believe the battery would die if allowed. I then found a link here at XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140) that uses the KDZ method, was well written and easy to follow. I ran it on the phone and it was going great. The flash program got to 88% and the phone went into the boot loop with the vib and LG logo . The flash program continued to run until it was complete while the phone was in the boot loop and it got to 100% and said that the software installed. I powered down the phone via battery removal and now when it tries to boot it vibes, shows the lg log and then the green android symbol shows for about 2 seconds and then it does it all over again. I have tried a hard reset and nothing changes. I appreciate any ideas any of you may have on what I can try to get this resolved. Thank you.

Hi everybody !
I have messed up my phone while installing and removing different progs like twrp and magisk. Now i'm stuck in a loop and can't figure out how to get out of it,despite having read many posts here and there. Here is what i have done:
- My phone is a Mi A2
- When i push the power button, i see briefly the android one logo, then a first message saying "your device can't be checked for corruption, please lock the bootloader", followed by a second message saying "your device has loaded a different operating system". Then it boot again with same messages infinitely.
- So i opened the phone, shorted the test points and flashed the "jasmine_global_images_V10.0.13.0.PDIMIXM_9.0" with miflash tool, apparently successfully. (By the way, i have never been able to boot in edl mode when the battery was disconnected) But alas, when rebooting after successful flashing, the phone did nothing more or less than before flashing: still stuck in the same loop.
- Pushing power and volume up does nothing else than bringing the loop mentioned above.
- Pushing power and volume down bring up fastboot, but then the device is not recognized in device manager, and i can't figure out why, as i already used adb and fastboot commands sometime ago before i messed up the phone.
Thank you in advance for any advice, and keep care of yourself and everyone around you all over the world !
Stuck on "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot" start screen
Hi,
(I already posted this as a comment on the thread - GUIDE: How to unbrick your Zenfone 6 (ZS630KL) - but am looking for anyone who can help with this issue)
I did a series of steps over the past 48 hours that have ended with my phone now displaying the message, "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot." It stays like that for about twenty seconds, and then reboots. At the time it is rebooting, I'm able to press the volume up + power keys together and get it into the Fastboot Mode - and then it shows up in the Fastboot menu of an attached computer, but that's it - from there, I'm unable to reboot into Recovery / System, as both attempts end with the above stated message. I AM able to power off the device from the Fastboot Mode, but the device powers on automatically (and displays that message onscreen).
I downloaded the Qualcomm drivers as suggested in this article, and was able to convert the phone from an "unknown android" to a "Asus android" device in Windows Device Manager - but no further progress; after running the .bat and the script, this message still appears onscreen, when attempting to login to the Recovery from the Fastboot Mode.
Any guidance would be appreciated. I am briefly outlining the glorious-many (mis-)steps that led to this current situation:
- Installed LineageOS 17.1
- Realised that Google Pay (Indian version) and a banking app don't work
- Tried multiple options to resolve that issue, such as installing (and uninstalling) TWRP, Magisk, Xposed framework, etc.
- finally gave up and was looking to get back everything to stock - ROM, Recovery and boot loader. Stumbled on the "fastboot oem asus-back" command, which now in retrospect, I shouldn't have used with custom recovery + ROM on the device, but yeah, that's what led to this issue.

This issue is kinda resolved now - it took more than 24 hours of looking through various solutions on the internet.
In the interests of anyone who happens on my comment/post and would like to know how I resolved it, I can't give you exact steps - sorry, but there was just way too much fiddling. But these two posts were invaluable in helping me understand the issue:
a) XDA post: [Guide]Remove "your device is corrupted and can not be trusted" issue
b) XDA post (and the first few replies): Phone keeps booting into csc fastboot mode
and this post was invaluable in actually finally resolving the issue (it resolved only after I ran through the steps a second time, after trying the steps from the above two links a few times, and trying other steps from other forums on the internet)
c) [GUIDE] QDLoader 9008 fix | EDL Mode fix
I didn't complete ALL steps in that last post, since my ROM had already been flashed in my previous steps; I just had to get past that locked/unlocked Bootloader, and things are fine now.
I'm trying to update to firmware version UL-ASUS_I01WD-ASUS-17.1810.2008.171-1.1.1-user now, after which I'm going to attempt flashing the stock ROM from the ASUS website. Hopefully, it all works out fine - but right now, I'm just glad that the phone isn't bricked, and that I don't need to visit an Asus service centre.
