I recently encounter this problem with my Xperia XZ after I updated the system to Android 7. After viewing around 8 high resolution image, the built in gallery app forces itself to close. This is also true when viewing HQ videos.
I never had this problem in Marshmallow before. I also tried using different gallery app, but it doesn't help. I don't want to rollback to marshmallow as the multitasking tools in Android 7 is a great help.
Anybody has this problem too? How can I fix it?

I think the original Android app takes better photos
The only problem with this app is the HDR
I installed the original app 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4, none of them has the HDR

Like the topic title indicates.
I like taking photos in my freetime - but do not always take my camera with me.
Is there any way to enhance the performance of the camera.
Actually I know it's limitation - from sharpness performance, I have no major expectations from the 2-year-old midranger.
But it would be more than great if light etc could be enhanced and I should not need to work with messy jpegs.

Not a chance, even the on the z5,z3 ect this is down to Sony. It's possible to use the z5 camera2 apk and camera files/libs if rooted using them myself it's about as good as the m2 will get I think on Sony camera files, open camera gives good results. Here's the z5 camera2 files I'm using

Hello devs,
I recently purchased s8+ and after few hours of user pinch to zoom started working on youtube.
However, recently after 22nd feb youtube update youtube zoom has stopped working.
I tried force closing youtube, clearing data for the app but it didn't work.
I tried clearing the device cache in recovery mode but that didn't help either.
I tried downgrading the youtube version by removing the system app and installing an older version. That didn't help either.
I also enabled the video enhancer and changing the performance mode to entertainment. But, all in vein.
Surprisingly same version of youtube app is installed on my lg g6 and that works flawless. So, my hunch is this is to do something with our device.
Have you encountered this issue? Or, if you have resolved it using some method? If yes, please comment.

I'm also experiencing this. My brother has the same phone with the same YouTube version and he can pinch to zoom, yet I cannot.
We are both completely stock on AT&T.
It doesn't work on all videos, i notice mainly the low res ones you cant zoom in.
I have this same problem. whatever they did in the last update broke it. I have the Canadian S8+.

Can anyone provide me the stock emui 8 gallery. I am running RROS v6 and it has the stock EMUI 8 camera but without stock gallery it's pretty much useless. Also, for some reason I can't download the additional camera modes by clicking on the more tab in camera modes. Is there a way I can manually load them or work around. Also can you people sugggest an alternative camera and gallery app from the play store.

I have purchased a XZ Premium and want to run it at 4K all the time for everything. I have read through alot of old threads in regards to it, and information stops after AOSP 8.1. I just wanted to know whether the option has been added from then on, ie Resolution switching in settings. If I just go for the latest AOSP or LineageOS 20, will the option for running it at 4K be there?
