Is it possible to install a rom for the Edge variant on the normal S7? And maybe just flash the kernel for the Flat S7?
Thanks a lot

SM-G935P (Sprint) S7 Edge rooted 6.0.1 to rooted 7.0.0?

Hello, I'll jump right in;
I'm wondering if it's possible to go from rooted 6.0.1 to rooted Nougat 7.0.0 (superman rom or something) without having to go back to the stock firmware in between.
So to be perfectly clear:
I have 6.0.1 SM-G935P ROOTED
And I'm trying to get to:
7.0 (nougat) SM-G935P ROOTED
And I want to know if you can skip updating to OFW 7.0 and skip straight to CFW 7.0
(old PSP terminology: OFW official firmware/CFW custom firmware)
Phone info:
Baseband G935PVPu2APE1
Build MMB29M
Model SM-G935P
Android V 6.0.1
EDIT:
Is 7.0.0 only for unlocked phones? If so, is it possible to unlock my version/model and will I still be able to use my Sprint network with an unlocked phone? Thanks guys!
Edit #2:
Also, is there a list of custom roms for specific devices anywhere? Or would any custom rom made for S7 Edge work on any S7 Edge? I'm trying to get substratum working and it says I need a rom that's compatible with OMS and Masquerade.

Yes you can flash several Note 4 roms, but after flashing you have to flash the right kernel for your Variant.. I'm using EnhancedRom v9. It's fully N7 Ported, and it is flawless, smooth and battery friendly. In my opinion, It is the best Ported rom for now.. If you want give a try here i uploaded to MEGA.. For the kernel i'm using RamKernel v6 is perfect for this rom..
Here is the Rom:

Thanks for the reply but the kernel you mentioned above seems to be for N915F Which is running on exyonos processor and that can cause overheating and drainage of battery , I don't know , I just need any kernel or way for me to flash a rom with N915G kernel or install custom rom while preserving original kernel from original software ..
Nope your phone is Snapdragon variant so you can flash the rom. If we come to the Ram, you can flash the 915F with peace of mind It will work.
If you already have costum recovery here are the steps to boot and work this rom. Of course it need a clean install..
Go to recovery
Wipe everything (Dalvik cache, system, data, cache)
Flash the rom
Flash the RIGHT kernel
(When you flash the kernel you lost root that's why need to flash root)
Flash root (added a attachment for if you don't have root zip file)
Wipe cache/dalvik
Reboot and wait about 10-15 mins it will boot
If you have any questions feel free to ask
Here is the link for root file:

@ufukan can I install Note 4 Exynos ROMs into Note edge Exynos N915S?
because yes then I already have a kernel that works so I should give it a try if you confirm it will work with the right kernel.
Thanks
Sorry, but could you guys clarify a little bit? I'm on the Sprint Note Edge N915P, but I can install the Sprint Note 4 N910P roms, or any Note 4 roms but I have to flash a Note Edge N915P kernel? Or can it be any Note Edge kernel?
A little late to the Note Edge party. I've rooted & done custom ROMS since the HTC G1

I'm not sure, but probably it will work with your phone's kernel model. You can give a try hope it works. Before you flash, always make a backup if anything is going wrong or messing up. Good Luck by flashing :fingers-crossed:

Yes, If you have right kernel u could flash several N4 roms for ur model and presumably it will boot up, but you have to flash your Model's kernel after the rom and again like a said above, I'm not sure if it will boot successfully. That's why always make a backup from TWRP if anything goes wrong.. BTW Welcome to Note Edge

Samsung Galaxy s7/s7 edge. Which custom ROM (One UI) better?

Now I have this firmware on Galaxy s7: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-sac23-s9-ported-rom-t3759458. Actually it's for edge version of s7, but I am using on flat version, and all is ok.
I'm looking for people who tested sac23 and Hyper ROM unique(https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-hyper-rom-unique-t3808211).
Help which one is better or are there better firmwares based on Android Pie?
thnks for any recomendation

I have not tried Hyper Rom since their PIE update, but am using LightROM which is stable, has active dev support and has ton of Mods as well. You can check out HyperROM or LightROM both for Pie ports. The SAC23 Rom is not available anymore I think and also never tried it. :good:

Steps for porting (TAB S2 Nougat Rom) for Note 4 N910K Exynos 5433. NOOB

I would like to port TAB S2 Nougat Rom for my Note 4 N910K Exynos 5433 phone. I always flashed custom roms but all of them have too many features and I all want is stock Nougat for Note 4. I don't need the S-pen functionality just Nougat and network to work nicely.
I never did any rom development or any compiling but I'm willing to learn.
It would be really appreciated if someone could list all the software and steps for porting.
As I said I have no idea how its done but I know that I need stock base firmware and kernel so it actually boots up.

Custom ROM for Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon (model SM-G930A)

I'm trying to resurrect an old S7 by installing a Custom ROM on it. Some of the ROMs seem to support only the Exynos version of the S9, but others do not specify. For instance, crDroid does not specify either version (https://crdroid.net/dl.php), while Pixel Experience specifies the Exynos version (https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/herolte/). If no version is specified, can I assume it will install on my phone? Or do those that specify the Exynos version also work on the Snapdragon? Do you know a custom ROM that will install on my phone?
I'm no computer wizard but I have some experience modding hardware and software on Mac computers. I'd like to experiment on the S7 so that I can install a custom ROM on my S9+ when it's no longer supported....
Well if you ask for Snapdragon S7
Right now it has no roms
all those there are for the exynos since the snapdragon has a locked bootloader which i don't know how they still didn't find a way to unlock it,also exynos roms will not work for snapdragon
they will make the phone stuck on boot
